- I'm obsessed with 1910s fashion right now! This sewing project is another pattern test for Kenna Sews. It's a 1915-1917, Edwardian, plus sized dress pattern and I love it! Thank you for joining me here on costube for my plus size historical sewing and costuming adventures!

I love your assistant. I have one who keeps applying for the equipment manager position. Usually right after I pick up a piece of said equipment. I love the dress. You did an amazing job with the colors.
Thank you! He is determined to help.
Edwardian is such a delightfully weird era for clothes and especially the closures. I'm glad you got the plaid out for this one - it really suits!
Me too! Thank you!
It turned out absolutely beautifully!
I feel like the 1910s is the perfect mix between fancy and practical.
Thank you! ❤️
Plaid is always the correct answer!
Great color combo.
And big love to KitKat, lucky lucky dog!,
Thank you so much!
Always such splendid color combos, Miss Rebecca. This wasn't an easy pattern! Turned out great. Congrats on KitKat joining the team❤❤
Thank you! She's a sweet girl!
This era is definitely flattering on plus size ladies like me. You did a great job.
Thank you! It is a flattering era!
It's amazing that someone is young as yourself looks just like my grandma purely because of the clothing and hairstyle!
Well it's a good thing that Hercules is there to keep your stuff off your table from flying up into the ceiling. What a great pattern weight! 😂😂😂❤❤❤
This plaid knew it had a different destiny so it hid until the right project came up!
I'm really enjoying this era!
YES!!!! I’ve been on a big 1910s kick lately so I love seeing this. You did such a great job and it turned out beautifully! 🤩
Thank you so much!!
1910s really suits you! I never really cared for it, but we have similar figures and now I want to add it to my historical wardrobe.
You should!
Love the dress, the plaid is great. Working on a lace handkerchief hem dress, gold lace with burgundy under dress.
Oooh! Sounds gorgeous!
I’m also mad for plaid! The silk worked nicely with your main fabric too. I think this era suits you well. ♥️👍🤓
Thank you so much!
Excellent video, project, and result!
Thank you!
Again, you made a beautiful dress, and I so do appreciate you showing the hiccups too, we all make those silly mistakes (two left fronts, two right sleeves, cutting prints upside down - you name it, we´ve done it..) and that picking seams we just painstakingly sewed is part of sewing.
All the best, be safe be happy

Thank you! Mistakes are inevitable, I find. ❤️
You picking out fabric is my exact experience when trying to "shop your stash"
😃 All the time!
Love 19-teens clothes! I am currently working on two 1860's style Wrappers. ☺️👍🏻
Nice! I have one on my list of future projects!
I love this style. It’s awesome. Also, congrats on the new pup!!!
Thank you!!
I love seeing your thought process and how you work through obstacles! Am I allowed to have favorite pattern testers? 😅❤
😆 I am definitely one who thinks out loud. Sometimes my husband hears the end of my thought process with no idea what I'm talking about. 😂
Looks very nice. I'm working on a 1910s themed project right now and have also become a big fan of 1910s clothing.
Awesome! Thank you!
That check looks so good! Now you need to tat yourself a collar to go with it 😉
Thank you! Ha ha! Not my wheelhouse. 😆

*grin* This reminds me that I should finally finish adding all the snaps to mine and not just keep it closed with pins, hehe. And yeah, the bodice front placket situation was a wild ride. Without the video, it would have taken even longer than it did for me to try to puzzle things out. Yours is lovely, and I think with some streamlining I'll be making it again.
Absolutely! I love yours!
Lovely
Thank you!
I’m jealous you got to test this one! I really wanted to do the jacket she just posted, so I’ll be buying that one! I just got in more fabric because I’m going to add a skirt to my dressing jacket so it can be a nightgown for me.
Awesome! I think I will make a matching skirt to go with the dressing jacket!
I love it
Thank you!
