I think Pjanic deserves at least an honorable mention, not because of the player himself, but because of what the transfer really was: a dodgy way to balance the books by Bartolomeu so that he wouldn't have to pay any money out of his own pocket, and as an added bonus, letting go of one of the most talented young midfielders in the world (Arthur).
As a Juve fan I think Arthur is way better. Once we get Pogba back we will have the most complete midfield in the world.
Players' age also made matters worse, some of their most important players are into their 30's (Messi, Piqué, Busquets), so for a team who needs young players, the Pjanic/Arthur deal was a bad mistake

Griezmann: €120 million
Coutinho: €145 million
That's €395 million on 3 players. Combined they have scored 66 goals so far for Barcelona in all competitions. That means Barca spent almost €6 million per goal scored. For 3 attacking players that is embarassing. A forward that was paid over €100 mil is expected to score that amount of goals across 2 seasons at most.
On top of that most of those 66 goals just come from one player.

For those who need a little more context on Turan, he was brought into Camp Nou to fill in for Xavi after he left for Qatar despite interest from Chelsea who had intended to use him. It was during the 2016 Euro Cup where his career began to fall apart when he decided to spend his evenings gambling until dawn instead of resting up for each game. Then after crashing out of the Euro Cup, he suffocated a 70-year-old journalist and then decided to retire from international duties shortly afterward. When Barcelona began benching Turan, he refused neither maintain his match fitness nor seek a transfer abroad. Once he was loaned out to Istanbul Basaksehir, he recieved a 10 game ban for pushing and threatening the referee during a game. And it gets worse off the pitch with his support for President Erdogan, the hospital incident where he asked his friend to shoot him in the head and could be sent to jail for one more criminal offense.

And Bartomeu is still laughing on the way to the bank. There should be a clause that allows Barca to impoverish him. I think that's a bit hard on Braithwaite. It was in many ways a desperation signing, and I think he's performed to expectations. His contract length is a bit questionable but I would put Griezmann and Dembele ahead of him.

Boateng was a loanee and Song was under Rosell I think. Rosell and Barto were pretty much the same tho so yeah.

He was actually alright for Barcelona, but for some random reason he didn't start under Valverde even after a good performance(Ex. Scored in a classico in the CDR and had a good game and then afterwards he didn't get in the starting XI for a month).

Including Braithwaite isnt quite fair due to the circumstances he was bought under: the number of long term injuries gave the option of recruitting outside of the regular transferwindow. Basically the best option under the circumstances, which were extremely limiting.

I literally had no idea he'd once signed for Barca. I still remember his wonder goal for AC Milan against them in the Champions League about nine years ago - still amazing to watch. The sad part is we sold two la masia players(Carles Perez(RW) and Abel Ruiz(ST)) and signed braihwaite for money which we got from those two sales COMBINED.
I would also put Yerry Mina, Marlon and Umtiti on the honorable mentions. Umtiti nd dembele's situation are quite similar with both struggling with injuries nd not really hitting their full potential. Though it still have time and I could be proven wrong. Bartomeu was so obsessed on finding another Neymar that he neglected other parts of the team. Pique, Busquets, and Alba's best years are behind them, and he still hasn't worked out a solid midfield in the absence of the club's greatest duo: Xavi and Iniesta. Messi lacks their vision and leadership and they've been relying on his individual brilliance to carry them to the top. I hope Barca finds its way out of this hole.
The transfer of Arda Turan was part of the Turkish Airlines sponsorship agreement. Yes, Barcelona did not have a return in the field, but they received money and viewership. Like nearly all asian signing in EPL.

When we first got griezmann coaches didn’t know where to play him and he’s had 3 coaches in 1 season.
Coutinho he’s been very good at Barcelona samw with griezmann they didn’t know where to play him but now that they found where he’s doing amazing.

Griezmann was supposed to be like a replacement for Suarez but he’s not a no.9 that’s why he wasn’t doing as good but when he plays a false 10 he’s amazing on ball and everything that’s why he’s been on form recently
It has quite probably been said but I think Dembele should have been way higher than Vermaelen.
With both you pointed out the injuries, yet in one case you said that it was not up to the player (Dembele) and in the other case you used it to justify the placing (Vermaelen).
There are so many things to criticise Dembele for, starting with the way he left Dortmund via striking his way out, the fact that he showed little to no interest in becoming a real professional by maintaining a healthy diet and working out properly and in that case you could maybe even blame these injuries on him.
He knew he was going to step down and he purposefully did this all

Mathieu might have been a bad signing for Barcalona but for Sporting CP he was one the best defenders I have ever seen at Sporting since I started to watch them about 16 years ago.

Still feel bad for Griezmann, it was meant to be his "big move" but he instead was played out of position. He simply didn't fit for how the 3 managers (Valverde, Setien, Koeman) wanted Barca to play. Hopefully he can either recuperate some form with Barcelona or move to another club and rejuvenize his career.

A few details I have to add here: Griezmann cost 120 million euros but it was done so shady (contacting and holding talks with the player before it could legally be done by fifa rules) that Atletico threatened to sue alleging they had documents that could prove it. A few months later Barca surprisingly and out of nowhere paid Atleti 15 million euros to have rights to signing Saul and Gimenez if they matched and offer made by other clubs IF atleti ever decided to sell them. This is the first time anyone here had ever heard of such a thing and most speculated that it was just barca paying out for Atleti's silence to drop the charge threat. So you could argue his final pricetag was 135 million.

Vermaelen was signed during Rossel’s reign in 2014, not Bartomeu’s so he does not qualife for the list
Any club not studying and implementing how dortmund and liverpool scout, develop and eventually sell players should sack their director of football. The way those two clubs recruit young and cheap players, turn them into world beaters and either sell them on or use them on the pitch is brilliant. Coutinho, dembele, robertson, sancho, wijnaldum and bellingham are all brilliant moves... leicester is another club that should be studied.
