I don't think there's a better description for the exceptional Keeley Hawes. She truly is a marvel, and I am not exagerrating. I've spent a great part of the last 5 months going through her filmography, not having seen half of it yet, but I've seen plenty already. And let me tell you, I am ASTOUNDED. DUMBFOUNDED. SPEECHLESS.
Keeley Hawes has this amazing ability of taking a character and building them from top to bottom. There's no trace of one in the other. Not physically. Not vocally. Not in any single way. Even when you think you will manage to spot a glimpse, she proves you wrong. I watched more than 10 of her shows back to back and I just couldn't believe this was the same person in every single one of them. I am proud and honoured to have become her fan. And quite irritated with myself that I hadn't discovered her sooner. But this has changed, now she has a fan for life in me.
This video contains some of my absolutely most favourite Keeley characters of all time. Some date back to 2001, some are brand new 2019 ones. I loved them all and I will never decide which one is my top favourite, it's impossible to choose. So I give you 5:30 minutes of her brilliance. Not nearly enough in my opinion, but plenty to realize what kind of an exceptional artist she is.

PS: this video is one of the hardest ones I had to work on. More than 100 files to go through with an impossible selection of brilliant scenes and quotes to choose from... I hope I did her justice, although I am not that good. All the quotes in the end do refer to her characters, they were not random.
The song selection came from the fact that Keeley is a Snow Patrol fan and this is probably one of my favourite of their songs so I found it fitting.

I am too... Ha. I've fallen in love with her characters and her portrayal of such fantastic, complex women in grief and everything but always with a touch of humour... Her face reminds me of Emily Blunt - same striking cheekbones etc. And she seems such a genuinely authentic, kind human being in this Hollywood whirlpool... Thank you for this. She is so vertasile and real in every role she plays and has such a stunning smile and face that captures everything :). Have you seen lots of her other work? X

Such a wonderful tribute, you can see a lot of hard work has gone into this, a real labor of love. I have been a Keeley fan for more than twenty years. Such a versatile actress, she produces believable, well crafted characters. I have seen most of her to work, of her early work I recommend, Karaoke 1996. The Beggar Bride 1997. The Last September 1999. And of her more recent tv The Durrells, such an emotional rollercoaster! And she was amazing in Mrs Wilson, heartbreaking!

She really portrayed some amazing characters for real. I haven't watched every movies/shows that were in your vid yet (i'm still halfway through her filmography as well) but after seeing this, can't wait to see the rest(like Upstairs, Downstairs or Spooks). These shows are also my favourites, and I completely agree with you: she is SUPERB and unmistakably different in every single role.
(I wonder if you've had the chance to watch After Thomas? Such a brilliant performance by Keeely and also a strong film.)
I've come to know her just a couple of months ago, too, but I think I've never been so addicted to someone before, and all because of that enormous amount of talent she has.

Thank you for this video - it is truly incredible how you hsve weaved every poignant quote, moment, facial nuance and emotion from many of her best works into such a short, really, video! I love how you have shown her true range of vertasile skills and emotions and everything she takes from the page and brings to the screen. Not only is her smile stunningly beautiful, she emobodies every character completely and you utterly feel and believe every single look, word and emotion she shares. Amazingly I had only recently come across her in The Durrells... Fell in love with The Durrells and Keeley Hawes as a result and thrn felt I'd been living under a rock having missed so many of her performances in other shows... I'm a massive Ruth Wilson fan too.. So... Wow. I hsve so much catching up to do! 😂

What an absolute marvel this tribute is. Congratulations for the work. I can't imagine how hard it must have been but you should be proud of the result as it is stunning, heartfelt and so well thought out. The scenes, the quotes, everything ties in perfectly and show how versatile Keeley is. She slips in every part and you forget Keeley and simply see the character. It's quite extraordinary. There are very few actors I know who can do that. In fact she is one of a kind, and seeing her evolve as an actor, as well as seeing more and more people appreciating her work has been a joy. So, congratulations on this beautiful video and thank you for sharing it. It was a pleasure watching it.
