Layers of Fear has a child run full tilt into a wall and just kinda bounce off. It is honestly one of the funniest things I have ever seen.
THAT'S the game I was thinking off! That doll-thing braining itself killed the tension dead. Amazing stuff.

I've actually expected the boulder punching QTE that is so popular and apparantly known in game that someone from a remote village like Heisenberg knew about it.
Could suggest a link between Heisenberg and the other bioweapon groups. He was looking for a way to get out of Miranda's clutches, maybe he contacted outside groups in secret
Apparently in the Japanese version he just calls Chris a "damn gorilla", which he is regularly called by the fanbase over there, so as fun as it is to assume he knows about it, it's more likely just the localisation going meme-for-meme

Failure states of QTEs are often hilarious, but it's rarely, if ever clear, how "unintentional" the humour is supposed to be. "I'm going to die", for just one example, IS hilarious, but it also screams "trying to be"?
Deadly Premonition? I think the whole game qualifies as an unintentionally hilarious moment.

In deepsea horror game 'Iron Fish', you can encounter an angler fish that appears to be Frankensteined from a bloody severed human head, mouth gaping and eyes bugging out. Right, that's horrible. But then it starts (loudly) spouting paternal platitudes, calling you "Petal" and promising to alway believe in you. Less nightmare from the depths and more greeting card sent by your nan when you leave secondary school.

These were indeed the pipes. Of the boiler [alien].
It helps to know she made that pipe-rattling monster in the lab and it is unable to attack her, so she's safe. Like Michael and his Hybrids in SGA.
Probably just Ellen's stomach either before or after eating the sandwich. Explaining why she ate it in the first place, or why she shouldn't have, respectively
In the first Alien vs Predator game there is a sound bite you hear as a marine from one of your squad mates. I probably don't remember it exactly, but it goes something like this:
"Is that a boot? It better be a boot!"
*silence for a few seconds*
"Hey, it's a boot!"
That always cracked me and my brother up.

Legitimately, that describes a lot of military operations. Someone sees something, they aren't really sure what it is, and so the entire squad spends the next few minutes to an hour on high alert before realizing it was absolutely nothing at all
"he'd use them as utensils, or as a urine cup." The insane word choice of "urine cup" over like "chamber pot" or another real term for a thing people pee in made me think he was either drinking out of it, or somehow even worse, it was a worn device.
I'm gonna blame that on 'poor translation'
Ethan's coat stitching back together is a clue for the ending. I though it was just silly when it first happened but it's actually pretty clever.

Ethan's hand injuries started out grim but ended up being almost a blooper reel of trauma in hindsight...
Gets stabbed to a wall and lopped off with a chainsaw? Oh DevilMia, what're ya like? Cheeky girl.
Cuts it on barbed wire in the INTRO? Oh Ethan, you clumsy doof.
Two fingers gnawed off by a cadouwolf? Guess that piano career is still off the table.
But the one that really cemented the comedy was the one listed. I mean... stressful scene trying to get away from psycho vamp, find a way out, and SLICE! Watching that in the playthrough and Andy's banter to go with it legit made me laugh.
"Their structural perfection is matched only by their need to do a wee-wee...". LOL. I was not prepared for that line. Bravo Jane!
And somebody check on Ellen,,, And try to get that sandwich away from her,
Jane's delivery was fantastic and whichever one of them wrote it deserves just as much praise

God, the boulder punching completely drove Wesker's neck snap out of my memory, but I remember it happened to me and I laughed my ass off
I can’t tell if Ellen’s reaction to the sandwich is one of pure disgust or surprise that it’s actually good.
The true horror is the foodstuffs we consumed along the way.

Alien Isolation will have the Working Joe's periodically just start jogging on the spot which is not only amusing, but also serves as a reference to the original Alien where Ash does the exact same thing.

Jacob ABSOLUTELY deserves his fate. He sabotaged the van just to try and get some nookie one more time and bam, everyone is werewolf bait lol
and somehow in my first playthrough, he was the only one that came out unscathed. ended up with emma and nick infected, everyone else dead, and jacob running around the woods in his underwear the whole night.
"Agent Morgan"? Ellen, just call him York, that's what everyone calls him.

I mean just replace the cereal with the some bread stuffing and you have what's called a Thanksgiving sandwich here in the States. Take out the cereal, add some cheese and ham, and make the bread into French toast and you have a Monte Cristo.
Also they don't clarify the cereal type. It's could be just a bland cereal or something. Probably wouldn't be that bad as long as it's not some kind of sugary kid's cereal
Leave off everything and soak the bread in milk and coat it in egg mixture before pan frying it. Dust with sugar and cinnamon and you have what the Germans call a "poor knight" ("arme Ritter").

back when he did a cooking show on Eurogamer, Johnny Chiodini made it as one of his menu items.... and decided it was actually good. the cereal is a lot like breading, and the sort of fruit jam used actually complements meat

That being said the in game recipe sounds like someone tried to make a Monte Cristo sandwich based on a third hand recollection. Hot ham and cheese inside French toast dipped in jam probably sounds weird too, but they're really good.

Trying to remember a movie, I think it was house of the dead but it was definitely a Uwe Boll joint. A character named Marco falls in a trap door or something and the other cast are screaming "Marco!" Over and over again.
Meanwhile, I'm in my seat answering "Polo!"
The way that was cropped for mobile is now making me picture an automotive ball joint with Uwe Boll's head on it. Not only does it give you a smoother ride, but it'll also ruin every work of fiction you ever held dear

1:20 - Poor Jacob. Not only does he have to run from werewolves dressed only in his boxer-briefs, but he just can't catch a break. He was going to *pick up* that litter that _someone else_ left behind, until the spider scared him off. At worst, he's guilty only of failing to clean up someone else's trash, but suddenly he's getting dragged for littering.

I haven't played a lot of horror games, but I did recently play the RE4 remake, and I'll tell you, watching Leon choose to backflip off of a wall that has two chainsaws jutting through it was PEAK comedy. It was SO unnecessary and I laughed SO hard.
i sent a clip of that moment to my friend who doesn't know resident evil, and they responded with "⁉️ HOMIE YOU COULD HAVE TAKEN A SINGLE STEP BACK" 😭

The entirety of RE 5 and RE 6 are unintentionally hilarious survival horror. Me and my bro never stop laughing at the b movie script, over the top action, and the line deliveries by the voice actors.

@@gemhunter498 I think the only real problem with that is the fruity pebbles. Soy sauce goes fairly well with meat as is. Not that it would be the most enjoyable experience, but certainly tolerable

Boilers look like a Xenomorph and a Spriggan from Skryim got real drunk one night and one thing led to another...
so mr quarry dude took about 4 seconds to strip off, including belt and shoes (presumably laced). for comparison, the fastest i could manage was 6 seconds with no buckles or zips to speak of

The Quarry - Yeah, littering is not justification for getting ripped apart, but disabling your transport and stranding eight people in the middle of nowhere is begging for something bad to happen. Not sure I remember correctly, but the counselors were also aware there were some missing people recently, too.

Even Hardcore Henry managed to do a pretty good face shot and that movie never left first person

I remember failing the RE5 qte because I was in the middle of scratching my eye so I literally only failed cuz of a damn itch of all things. But when I tell you the scene that followed had me on the floor just like Chris. I thought he was gonna put his hand through his chest, not turn him into an owl. I was in absolute shambles with how hard I was crying laughing.
My friend made the exact same comment about Ethan’s jacket in Resident Evil 8. Seriously I’ll accept the mold healing limbs being removed. But clothes being repaired is where I draw the line.
It's too bad that it makes complete sense in context.
Plot twist: Ethan is 'naked' and his clothes are also mold/part of his body. How he never realized this raises different questions.
Limbs actually can be reattached and the skin and muscle tissue will regrow naturally, there are numerous cases of this. Clothes, however, do not repair themselves under any circumstances

Ethan loosing his hand like that is so funny looking back on it, especially as his arm doesn't start gushing blood until he take a few seconds to look at it. It's only when he realized what happened that the arm is like 'oh, guess i better start bleeding now'
Wearing a Cleveland Browns jersey in the first place is pretty funny.
Can't forget about the many stupid things in Doom 3! Mainly Bravo Team being killed by basic enemies clearly visible in the background, Betruger's dumb quotes (my personal favorite being, "I have the Soul Cube in Hell, and you will never find it!") And, of course, the many ragdolls including the levitating body on, I believe, Alpha Labs Sector 2 or 3.

EDIT: ok, them giving up on you if you stand still makes my t-rex comparison even more accurate (even if t-rex only seeing you if you move is most likely bullshit in the first place)
Yeah pretty sure that is bullshit since T rexes are usually said to be scavengers not hunters, atleast last I heard, so they eat animals that die naturally or left overs of other carnivores which would be hard if they can't see things that don't move. But in a movie it adds more tension then having everyone always running away.

Jam and turkey go really well together on a sandwich. It's the cereal that really puts me off.
The best way to make a horror game a comedy. Make it a multiplayer game and let the chaos unfold like for example Lethal company, content warning and DbD.

Silent Hill 4 is chock full of unintentionally hilarious moments. Number one for me is probably when Henry finds Cynthia bleeding to death and softly asks “Are you alright?” Or the burping Patients.

Dunno if you'd call Zork Nemesis as a horror game or not, it definitely has horror vibes in a point and click adventure. But there are a couple of moments you may laugh at (but really shouldn't):
Minor spoilers for a nearly 30 year old [?!?!?!] game below:
Choose the wrong button on the minecart puzzle (Temple of Agrippa, the starting world) and you get fired into… well, fire, with the nemesis saying "Burn, baby Burn!". Also at the Asylum, you can talk to a disembodied head via the power of electricity, and it has some funny comments depending upon which areas you stimulate.
The cheeky whistle that Wesker gives as he snaps Chris' necks kinda gives me life.
