If the supplier is not able to obtain an ISO 9001 certification. Is the only requirement to get a waiver from the customer to approve them or does our organization need to conduct a second party audit as well? Thank you.

If the distributor is not certificated with ISO9001, however they submit the manufacture's certificate. Will it be a non-conformity?

Hello, it's a good example to explain ISO9001 is not available if customer approval. I have another question, if the supplier is distributor, ISO9001 must be obtained or not?

Good question. If the supplier is a distributor, they should be able to demonstrate certification to ISO9001. Also in the purchase order, it should be made clear if there are specific requirements about where you expect the supplier to procure from and whether the supplier has ISO9001 certification.

Hello Paul, on IATF Measures Coronavirus Pandemic COVID 19 REVISION 2 - 27April2020, in FAQ’s section, number 3, IATF authorizes internal audits according to 9.2, authorizing internal remote audits. Does that mean organizations may also perform supplier audits remotely, as per 8.4.2.4.1?

The FAQ specifically refers to internal audits but the rationale could equally be applied to supplier audits that can’t take place on site as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
