    So excited I was able to test my awareness in my dream! Still working towards lucid dreams and astral projection. However I consciously tested my reality in my dream state and I did it! I wasn’t able to control the dream but continue in my journey and it feels GOOD to know I can do it! P.S. it took 3 days of me testing my reality to test it in my dreams.

    I just got into astral projection, Lucid dreaming and reality shifting and I can't wait to learn all about it, so I guess I have a good excuse to binge-watch all of your videos!
    I want to focus on lucid dreaming first, because I can only focus on one topic at the time and I just always wanted to be able to control my dreams. I cannot wait until my first lucid dream- when I grew up, I was really obsessed with werewolves and kinda hoped I would somehow end up becoming a werewolve. In my first lucid dream, I really want to fulfill my childhood wish in a way and experience what it's like being a wolve out in a warm summer night, roaming trough the wild with my pack.

      Funny you say the wolf thing.. back in 2019, i had an insane lucid dream. I was working over nights at a hotel and i was not used to it at all. I worked security so when i was patrolling, i want to a bathroom floor, laid out, and drifted off without realizing it. In the dream, i got up, looked in the mirror and instantly knew I was dreaming. Before that tho, i could literally hear myself snoring which i found weird. Anyway, i was looking at the mirror and I knew it was the perfect time to try and transform. I literally saw my hands turning into werewolf like claws and getting hairy. I got so excited that I woke up and that was the end😂😂 it was amazing and i gatta trying doing it again.
      Ps.. have you tried anything at all yet? Let me know your progress if any👌🏽

    Man, you're so good at inspiring. I've decided to once again try out the hemi-sync excercise for lucid dreaming before going to bed tonight. It didn't put me to sleep, as usual.
    However, i had something weird happen to me. I remember lying on my side and seeing my dark room in a sort of radiant shimmer, as if there was a light source. It almost felt like there was light refraction through ice crystals. I tried moving but it didn't work - maybe because i was trying to move with my mind, not my body. I thought that it's weird and decided to just go back to sleep, lol.
    It reminds me of the first time i read Monroe's books during the last summer. I tried his affirmation and just went to bed. I woke up at 3 am because the sun was burning my face of and right before that i had a dream about a radiant symbol. RIght after that it got super weird: my chest started shaking. Not some pleasant electricity but something more akin to an earthquake and yet my heart was ok. I got super scared and asked to proceed at my own "baby steps" pace.

    Ahh thanks so much Gene! I’d like to piggyback off of your tip of remembering to recall dreams to engage the parts of the brain associated with connecting to them. I like to pick a certain image, scene, or environment that reoccurs when I lucid dream (or simply anything that occurs frequently, including a feeling, to those who haven’t gone lucid just yet) and associate it with awareness. So when I see it again, it reminds me that “oh I always see this in my dreams, I must be dreaming” and I then remember to do a reality check as I forget to do them sometimes. Personally, it is either a cosmos-type environment or I feel fear, which then triggers awareness. I’ve recently been honing the same association with seeing water as well. My only issue is that I get distracted and eventually fall back into autopilot loll but it’s a work in progress!

    I’ve been way more focused on simply maintaining awareness so that it’s ultimately lucid living. I’m more just focused on simply remembering my dreams because I enjoy just watching them play out naturally is quite interesting and ultimately the lucid state of being is more important than simply lucid dreaming. They tell me very interesting stories and when I can maintain my state of active awareness in them it makes them way better.

    Thank you Gene. After a few months meditating (using mostly your guided ones) and writing a dream journal I was finally able to hold/recover awareness during my dreams (3 so far). In the dreams there were moments where I thought "this doesn't look right, I must be dreaming", then all I had to do was do a reality check. The one I use and find easier to practice is the one which you try to pass your finger through your hand.
    After that I was able to control what I was doing, it was an incredible unique experience. After getting a little bit more holding of this non-physical state (is not that easy to understand all that is happening, at least for me right now) I want to try to astral project from these lucid dreams. Again, thank you

    Holding the nose is by far my favorite, however, I have a hard time staying lucid because it shocks me so much that my heart rate picks up, etc. Over the years, I've gotten better at just questioning my reality as constantly as possible, to the point where now, I usually just spontaneously get lucid just from being more aware. These LDs are more fluid and easier to stay grounded in.

    Hi Gene, I'm loving your videos ... I listen to them whilst I do my artwork in the morning and would first like to thank you for keeping me so engaged. Anyway since I started listening about 3 weeks ago I have lucid-dreamed twice. I have done it by going straight from a waking state. It was something I thought I would try because very often whilst I am fully conscious but ready to sleep I will see visions, usually of people that I don't know. Rather than just allow myself to fall asleep I wondered if I could use these visions as anchors into lucid dreaming. So I tried just by kind of zooming in on these visions, holding on to them and finding as much detail as possible. I start talking to the characters an lo! I am lucid dreaming. The dreams may have gone on for 20 minutes and I had complete control of what I did in them and when I wanted to end the dream. On ending the dream I am fully awake. What do you make of this? I have not yet had any recollections of lucid dreaming in the night and am still learning to remember my dreams. Sometimes I when I endeavour to meditate I will also start "dreaming" instantly i.e. just seeing pictures. I feel that it could be a hindrance to my meditation - I am new at this.

    You have effectively summarized 3 essential practices that can allow you to make RL. But the main point of all this remains the "conviction" that we put in carrying out these practices. And also do not forget, as you say, to know how to be patient.
    Because the human being is not naturally made to make RL. There are many physiological barriers which exist at the level of our brain and which oppose us before succeeding in "conditioning" us to experience this extraordinary internal dialogue with our subconscious.
    Thank you for all these videos which are rich in teaching to address the experience of EMC.

    What would you call dreams that mirror the physical future reality? A while ago I did the astral projection prayer and had around three major dreams that felt so vibrant. One of them was a warning about my sister, it involved lots of cakes and a strange vibes which I had an inner knowing about. A while after that *trigger warning* she tried to kill herself and when she recovered she started making a cake a day as a form of relief and escape. I’ve had similar experiences of this since then, dreams with strange details that later pop up in my life in a profound way. Has anyone else experience this? Is there a term or practice for it? Or do you reckon it’s simply a consequence of these practices?

    • @AstralDoorway
      @AstralDoorway  Před 2 lety +5

      Hello Lennart ~ Inspiration is the power of the human spirit: one must either realise the deep need for insight into oneself, or they must really desire the experience at a deeper level. With that said there are some things you could do when you wake up, the main thing being wake yourself, be attentive and remember your intent, drink water, put a light on, wash your face etc. This takes willpower. Willpower is not something we stumble upon, it's something we cultivate... let every failure stregnthen your will even more. Take the example you gave of not being able to put your finger through your palm; with more force, tenacity, willpower, you would have absolutely been able to do it, believe!
      As you've noticed, emotions are fickle, and when we sleep, we begin to experience other things that lead us away from our practice. That feeling of indifference should not be fought, but understood. This takes meditation and knowing why you're not really interested anymore.
      Here's a few pointers for chanting mantras consciously:
      - An optimal state is one where there are no thoughts disturbing your awareness ~ but don't try to fight the thoughts, this IS the practice... acknowledge and understand each one, then let it go and repeat. As you continue, the practice gets deeper).
      - You can measure your progress by the level of peace, clarity and stillness you feel within.
      - Don't put conditions on the practice e.g. "I will try this for one week and see if I get results".
      - Be centered in your heart - this is where true meditation takes place. You can literally align yourself within the heart - not imagine you are there, but really place your awareness there and "live" from there just as many "live" within their heads.
      - Don't do it too intensely, be steady. The physical body and mind should be relaxed.
      - Don't expect it to always feel the same. Stay present throughout the practice; at first you should be present within the body's senses, but after time you may transition into a deeper state and other perceptions may arise, or a blissful state might be felt. Regardless of "good" or "bad", be vigilant and stay indifferent to all the perceptions in your field of awareness.
      - Don't be disheartened if you have a "failed/bad" session, it's completely normal, there is a lot of inner "muck" to work through. Keep the bigger picture in mind. There are no failures, only learning: czcams.com/video/HuKJxy6l2oI/video.html
      Mechanical means to do something where you assume you know how it will feel, such as when we do chores around the house we usually do it unconsciously, thinking about other things because we think we're doing the same thing due to habit, but in reality, no moment is ever really the same, we just learn to shut off our senses to the present moment because we stop being interested in our present experience, whatever it may be. Every moment is fresh. Every moment is new. We have to realise this at a very deep level.
      I hope this helps

    • @AstralDoorway
      @AstralDoorway  Před 2 lety +2

      Hi Pedro. WBTB for lucid dreaming can be done without affirmations too. On the surface layer of the practice of WBTB there is no difference between lucid dreaming and Astral projection. The real difference lies within the individual's degree of awareness and whether they are "dreaming" or not; when one is able to break their own "dream world" and awaken their consciousness, then Astral projection begins to be a possibility. I recommed meditating on these 2 episodes to understand this deeper:
      👉 czcams.com/video/H61ukQU6bpY/video.html
      👉 czcams.com/video/phK2E9WQQug/video.html
      To answer your second question: Yes, our subconscious can be relied on for Astral projection too... aligning with our subconscious is deeper than it seems though, and it's more effective if one does it through meditation.

    • @AstralDoorway
      @AstralDoorway  Před 2 lety

      Hmm I'd say not exactly. I wouldn't classify physical reality necesarily the same as consensus reality. If anything, "consensus reality" is very much non-physical -- in other words, it is a dimension of consciousness... it is like a very large "thought-form" that people "subscribe" to... it is like a very overpowering dream, a great illusion that people unconsciously believe in.
      Also remember, we all Astral project every night unconsciously. Where do most people go? They stay in that consensus reality, totally asleep and dreaming. We daydream during the day in the physical, and we also dream during the night in the non-physical too. As above, so below. I hope that makes sense

    • @jwm7429
      @jwm7429 Před 2 lety +1

      @@AstralDoorway Yet what we term as "in real life" or reality is a dream just one that all of us subscribes too aka "dream sharing". The non dualists such as Greg Goode go into a lot of detail on how to deconstruct physical reality and what we consider "matter" as being nothing else but awareness once we deconstruct it using our direct experience as compared the matter model of using concepts and theories for everything we think of as being "external" and independent from awareness. Hence, physical reality then is nothing more than consensus using the matter model of theories rather than using our direct experience based on that.

    • @AstralDoorway

      @@jwm7429 absolutely, the journey of awakening is going beyond these layers of reality to get to what Buddhists term as 'The Great Reality' or 'Ultimate Reality'. I prefer not to classify physical reality within this field of illusion, because it's in physical reality that we can begin this work. Physical reality is a pure reality too, but we impose our own colorations on it, so to speak.
      There is always an aspect of our own unconscious that co-creates our experience. Astral projection is far from simple and cannot easily be defined. The more you try to define it the more it doesn't adhere to that definition. This is why direct experience is essential to understanding it fully.

    Gene, I can’t even remember the last time I had a normal dream (or remembered it I guess). It almost feels like that part of my mind just shut off years ago. I don’t know how or why. Do you have any advice for me, as someone who is completely willing to surrender myself, my ego, my ideas of what I think this world is and open to spirituality? I feel completely lost and in the dark.

      I used to smoke a ton of weed with high THC %. I now only use pure CBD products, which I find makes me feel much more relaxed and ready for a deeper sleep.

      There isn't any negative effects of it in itself, but if one has a typical school/work schedule and is perhaps very sleep deprived then they may want to only practice it on the weekend, while only practicing Steps 1 & 2 on the weekdays. Usually though, waking up for 5 minutes in the middle of the night doesn't have any major effects. Many people even get up most nights to go to the toilet anyway. In fact, sometimes it can be beneficial. For example, if one is having a nightmare or other type of negative dream, waking up and snapping yourself out of it and intending to go to back to bed more peacefully will result in a better night's rest psychologically and emotionally. Furthermore, being lucid in dreams does not "waste" energy, it helps you feel more aligned with yourself and you'll usually wake up in a better mood because of it.

    This is great but one part annoys me. The word assume. It's said Ashoom and that is wrong. It is supposed to sound like (uh sue mm) not Ashoom. Anyways, I love everything else on this video. I have been able to control my dreams since the early 80's maybe earlier. It is a wonderful thing. I love reversing dreams and making them go the way I prefer them to go.
