I LOVE my knotless braids. I used to be that person that would take them down whenever they would start getting frizzy. I wasted so much money doing that! As soon as they start getting frizzy and product build up I simply wash them! For the frizz I use oil, moose and a tiny bit of gel. I have had my braids in a little over a month! I still get compliments daily they are simply a beautiful style!

Really and truly, our braids are not supposed to look fresh the whole time we have them on! They are supposed to be protective styles, eventually they loose their freshness which is normal. I’m convinced to get them done for my birthday even more now 😊

  • @themiddayshowwithleilaho.5006

I also did my own knotless by myself. I LOVVVEED them. Never liked how I looked with box braids but I have been itching to redo my knotless since I took them out. Coming from someone who exercises 5 days a week... they did not last. I pushed to keep them in for a month but I think the sweat made them revert and the fact that more root is visible makes them age faster. Imma still do them tho bc they look gooood

But I was able to keep them for 3 month rn and they are still good )

I could never keep braids in longer than 1 month. I have a physical job 12hrs a day, I gym 4 days a week , and I wash my hair every 10 to 14 days. I have to, sweat is not my friend, and washing braids does cause my roots to frizz. The time I spend redoing the front, a few at the back, and separating hair growth at the roots. I might aswell take it all out, and redo it all over again.

I did my own box around 3 and a half weeks ago give or take. I have very full, coarse type four hair (I hat using the numbers) and I had to refresh them two days ago. I’m thinking of pushing a month more with these braids. Your hair type doesn’t matter with this, you just need to use a sensible ratio of braiding hair to natural hair. Try it out yourself if you have the time. I promise you it’ll feel weightless (in comparison to regular box braids) and it looks beautiful. I didn’t want to do it before because I hated that it looked scanty but mine looks full and it’s a small size. I’d recommend this to anyone, take a leap of faith 😊
