My heart goes out to Regina King. Such a beautiful soul.
Have you seen CZcams they saying she sacrifice her son smh
@@NorthPhilly-zr7xc well I don't know about that sacrificing CRAP but I do find it odd for him to just go and do that out of the blue like that I mean maybe she had something to do with it🤷🏿♀️ she should've gotten him help or something put him a mental health facility SOMETHING
b sometimes parents don't know what's going on with they kid's they never say anything
@@NorthPhilly-zr7xc nah if you truly know and love your child you'll see signs 💯 sweetie. trust me
@@sarahb6163 yeah I true but sometimes they know how to hide it real good sometimes you can sometimes you can't
My heart breaks for Regina, I know this was filmed before her sons passing. I am so sorry for her loss.
I was wondering....I was thinking man she's strong doing this if it was after.
That’s Oscar nominated Actress Aunjanue Ellis to y’all!! Long overdue! 🎉🎊🏆✊🏾
no but why did i cry with Aunjanue?? Regina is an icon and so is she! Love them both.
They was beefing on ray the movie
Aunjanue is a wonderful actress. She always has such a powerful screen presence. She never disappoints. I'm so glad she's finally getting the recognition she deserves after all these years. I hope she wins the Oscar.
@Pureb, Me too. I screamed when I saw her name listed among the Oscar nominees; she such a true character actress, Aunjanue Ellis can transform into anybody!! Everything is not just about glamour & looks, talent and craft can take one far
she definitely deserves all the recognition that will is getting her performance was OUTSTANDING. his on the other wasn't all that to me
@@sarahb6163 no the word is curse and not cuss. Ebonics verbiage is Cuss. Since you don't own a dictionary. I assume you failed English.😂😂😂
Yes I really don't know why they sleep on that Queen, she slays every time!!!

It was refreshing to see two Black women in a conversation like this.
As a young black actress, the depth and longevity of their careers is a beacon. They inspire me to keep up the grind! I appreciate you uploading this with respect to Regina’s loss.
Beautifully written. Rooting for you!!
no grinding. flow.
I love both Regina’s and Aunjanue’s work but if you haven’t seen The Book of Negros with Aunjanue Ellis you’ve missed one of her best movies ❤️❤️❤️❤️ and I just love everything Regina has done.
These two legends. These Queens. I hope Regina has felt/feels our prayers 🙏🏾🙏🏾
As an actor, it's refreshing to hear them say they don't follow a traditional method and don't really know what each method entails, yet they're so amazing at what they do. I feel like I'm not alone now. Haha
Condolences to Regina and her family! But nice to see King and Ellis talk with each other! Hopefully Ellis will get nominated for an Oscar. (Edit: SHE DID!)
22:14 Ellis getting emotional about how King is an icon is so touching 😭
That moment was so surreal. This conversation is surreal. There’s so much Black excellence, emotion, love, edification, and Black WOMAN magic between these two extraordinary human beings. It’s breathtakingly beautiful and awe-inspiration.
I cried at that too
Ellis did get the nomination!!!!
Had me all choked up and teary eyed.
Love Regina and my condolences on her loss. Aunjanue has always been a reliable actress, she's been acting for a while and usually makes me cry.
This was absolutely beautiful. As a Black Woman, it sincerely warmed my soul to see these two women honoring one another so genuinely. You felt the love. You felt the respect. You felt the tears. WHEW!!! Regina is, and always has been, so special to us. She is, indeed, an Icon Living. And Aunjanue Ellis is an undeniable gem to our culture as well. So proud of both of these women.
Well said/written. Exactly how i felt watching it. ❤️🌞❤️
BLACK EXCELLENCE , LEGENDS, DIVINE BEINGS. REGINA BEEN KING!
Aunjanue Ellis is now one of my favorite African American female actors💯 She deserves her flowers.💐 She should be in the same category as Regina King because she is a good actress.🔥 I've seen her in t.v. roles, and in film, and she always execute her roles. She SLAYS💯🔥🔥🔥 SO, here are your flowers Ms. Ellis💐💐💐🌷🌺🌼🌹🌻🌸 Both Regina King, and Aunjanue Ellis are true, beautiful black queens👑💯🔥❤👍🏽
Just saw her in Justified City Primeval. She was amazing a must see and now on Hulu.
The Icon Regina and multifaceted actor Aunjanue, priceless!
Regina in Jerry Maguire was a Force of Nature! That was when I knew she was a solid Strong, Deep, and Vastly Talented Actress!!! It still hold up today! Praying for her with the loss of her son 🙏🏾 Aujanue is Amazing always but in King Richard, YAAAS!!!👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 This was a beautiful conversation ❤❤
It's the love that they show for each other for me. The fact that these ladies have worked together twice is amazing. They bodied each and every role they touch. Regina king is an icon in her own right. As for Aunjanue Ellis: she's literally a powerhouse herself.
The 22:14 mark was such a touching moment.
LOVED every single second of this beautiful convo between these iconic women. Thoughts and prayers are with Regina and her fam 💜💜💜
Moments like this are so necessary and I love both women. I couldn't imagine film without either of them!!
Wishing all the love and strenght to Regina King and her family in this difficult time.
Aunjanue was incredible in When they see Us and Lovecraft Country, she totally killed in those two projects (haven't seen King Richard yet).
Love how Regina sparkles even more while speaking about films ❤️
These two fantastic actresses are off the chain! Just genius
We’re so proud of you Soror Aunjanue Ellis
Regina King is amazing and a badass. Can't fathom what she's been through lately.
I have to be honest I'm not that familiar with Regina King's work but she seems like a great person. I am so sorry for her loss. Its unthinkable.
Damn you not wow
@@NorthPhilly-zr7xc what?
@@jumpforjoy6 familiar with her
@@NorthPhilly-zr7xc no I knew she won an Oscar but I don't think I've seen a lot of her films
@@jumpforjoy6 ok what films has you seen
I loved this so much. I loved watching these two queens give each other their flowers. Representation, and seeing them play such a wide range of characters over the years, is so important.
Aunjanue Ellis is an icon as well whether she knows it or not. I haven't seen her give a bad performance yet, even if she's on the screen for a short time. I see people giving her, her flowers all the time on Twitter. I really hope that she has a chance to see it!
What a paring! Two of my favorite working actresses.
Her Performance in Jerry McGuire was AMAZING OMG Black love‼️We needed that Her Cuba killed that it was everything.
What a beautiful, enlightening & inspiring conversation between two iconic women! Yes Aunjanue, we see you as an icon also. Love and respect and prayers to both to continue on. My sympathy to Regina. As a mother, my heart breaks, so I pray for her strength to go on.
My condolences goes out to you Ms Regina King sorry for your loss. I too have children 2 sons in fact and I can only imagine the loss and pain that you are feeling. Nothing anyone can say will be able to make the pain heartache any less. May Allah's Peace and Blessings be with you during your loss and suffering
Two Queens that have given us some amazing performances. Glad they are receiving their flowers. And my heart and prayers go out to Regina and her family 🙏🏾💛💛
I don’t know how I missed this. 2 of my FAVS. 👑👑
First time I saw Ms. Ellis was on a episode of New York Undercover with Terrance Howard. I knew then she will have a great career. She was so good on that episode
What episode was that
@@NorthPhilly-zr7xc I believe it's called "Bonnie and Clyde"
This is so refreshing to hear very seasoned and down right great actors discuss not really having a particular method other than doing the work. It’s not to take away from those who do, but clearly it’s not alway necessarily to do great work. It’s about being present and showing up.
Regina was great in The Harder they Fall. I loved the accent. Even though she had an accent, it was clear.
This was an excellent conversation. I found myself smiling and laughing listening to them. Thanks so much for this.
This was too damn good! Two of my favorite actresses
Two of my favorite women ever ❤️
God bless you, Regina.
This might be my favorite one of these. The mutual love and respect between 2 amazing women of cinema! #heartmoved
She was awesome in Lovecraft Country. JUST AWESOME!
"I'm moving the way the Universe is speaking to me" ~ Regina King. WOW. phenomenal

What a treat! I've been following Aunjanue since her indie indie indie days. She;s such a power house, it was great to see who she studied and admire. I'm praying for Regina and her lost.
I follow Regina King's career for a while. I am so sorry for her terrible loss!
The laying on of hands that happened during this talk and this talk happened right before Regina King lost her son. Also how Regina makes the distinction as being a Black American!!!!
Wow. Wow. Wow. I had no clue they did an Actors on Actors together. This is a dream come true.
[gets on soap box] Aunjanue Ellis should’ve been nominated for her role as Dr. Mattie Moss Clark. She was excellent! I love that she’s finally getting her flowers after more than 2 decades of stellar work.
I love this talk between two talented Queens 👸🏽 👏🏾. May God continue to bless them. May God be with Ms. King at this time of loss 🙏🏾
Wait !! Did Regina say she wish she could be there to hug Aunjanue basically " real time" showing love & Aunjanue's reply was I like your jacket and your trees !! 😶😔😹😂😹😂 I can't stop laughing !!
I knowwww…that was hella quirky 🤣🤣🤣
@@cinemeleon2808 I'm like !! WTH !! I KNOW HOLLYWIERD has a lot of DO's & DON'T's for artists and I usually can pinpoint when they( the artist) is told to behave a certain way but this caught me off guard and it seemed a bit awkward look at Regina's response. 😒😒😹😂😹
She was nervous and probably caught off guard with such a authentic compliment. Sometimes people respond awkwardly the beginning of conversation. She was clearly fan girling towards Regina, which is a compliment in itself.
Prayers continue for Regina and her family.
LOVE this! Both women have pathed the way for others in the industry while underrated for so long as they continued to deliver amazing performances! Regina's time has finally come, Aunjanue is next. #ActorExcellence
Love how this end at 33:33. Love and light to both of these ladies 🦋

These two beautiful black 👸🏿👸🏿 acting chops are = impeccable to their craft.
They pinned them against each other in films because it's the best against the best. Bam. Both amazing actresses!!!

Oh my goodness two of my favs !!! These beautiful ladies can ACT !!!
The two groundbreaking shows you all did on HBO were symbiotic too.
This was so beautiful! LOVE these interviews!!!! Please keep them coming, with diverse and warm acting souls. Thanks Variety x Amazon Studios!
Awwwww what a beautiful conversation....funny how they both have now played Will's wife....now we need them in a project where they're not on opposite sides.
Aunjanee has sooo much grace and is soo humble
I love both of these actresses. I have watched Regina grow into this wonderful celebrity of her craft. I also wondered who I could write or contact regarding Anjanue Ellis. She is a tower in her field. She has made her bones. From Ray, The Slave Recorder, Undercover Brother, The Downlow, and so on, she has shown her talent and range. I have often wondered, why Hollywood is sleeping on her? I thought her role in King Richard is superb. Her Image award was well overdo. SAG and other artesian of this wonderful industry wake up. Anjanue is at the top of her game. The Oscar goes to Ms. Ellis
I always find it funny that actors/stars will say they don't have a technique. I wonder if they simply do not realize that they actually do have a technique that works for them but that it is so in their bones and natural that it doesn't feel like they are using a "technique." Of course they have one, they have all been influenced by their experiences and those they have worked with so yeah you picked up some things that you may not even realize or know the name for. Aunjanue went to school for theatre, she has a technique. Technique really refers to tools that and actor uses. Regina worked with the incredible Marla Gibbs who ran a school in LA for black actors, so Regina picked up something you can trust that and she has been working since she was a kid, so its natural to her she makes it look easy as does Aunjanue, we all aren't as gifted as they are in that regard.
Im speechless! My heart is so full 🥲❤️❤️❤️ Sending my love too all of my sisters and brothers.
I'm assuming this was recorded before Regina's son passed away and I wish they would make a disclaimer somewhere stating so.
read the caption....its says just that
@@jazzc9044 Awesome! They change it. Originally there was no mention of it.
Truly enjoyed the conversation.
What a Great interview/conversation and Aunjanue has look like she respects Regina so much. Love them Both !!
Great to see these two ladies. From playing arch nemeses in "Ray" to years later - both being power house actors.
