She is a tower in her field. She has made her bones. From Ray, The Slave Recorder, Undercover Brother, The Downlow, and so on, she has shown her talent and range. I have often wondered, why Hollywood is sleeping on her? I thought her role in King Richard is superb. Her Image award was well overdo. SAG and other artesian of this wonderful industry wake up. I always find it funny that actors/stars will say they don't have a technique. I wonder if they simply do not realize that they actually do have a technique that works for them but that it is so in their bones and natural that it doesn't feel like they are using a "technique." Of course they have one, they have all been influenced by their experiences and those they have worked with so yeah you picked up some things that you may not even realize or know the name for. Aunjanue went to school for theatre, she has a technique. Technique really refers to tools that and actor uses. Regina worked with the incredible Marla Gibbs who ran a school in LA for black actors, so Regina picked up something you can trust that and she has been working since she was a kid, so its natural to her she makes it look easy as does Aunjanue, we all aren't as gifted as they are in that regard.

I am writing this comment to simply acknowledge the love I have for both of these lovely sistas. God bless you Sister Regina having experienced loss just after this interview. Sister Aunjanue thank you so much for each and every project. I love you both. As a father of two daughters I appreciate the body of work that you have shared with all of us. God bless you and keep you both and your families.
