    I find it interesting that there was only one woman highlighted in this video about "human centered design", and most of the people speaking were caucasian. If we truly want to develop empathy for our product, system or service users, we need to start at the root, which means diversity in design firms. Oh sorry, that's not exactly the root. I meant diversity in design programs at universities.

      Good point well made. I believe there were two women in front of the camera (Katie Rast & Joan Gregor) and more behind the camera and part of the production team. And while designers in this extract were primarily Caucasian, I believe there was at least diversity in country of origin. I've seen an inspiring bit of diversity in San Diego's design programs and at design firms as well as in the people they serve.
      What ideas do you have to feature that better?
