Magirus ARFF in Paraguay: Four DRAGON X6 for Asunción

  • Four new Magirus DRAGON X6 with Twin Engine Power Pack (TEP) technology are now in service in the city of Asunción in Paraguay. The Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) vehicles were acquired to renew the fleet at the Silvio Pettirossi International Airport. The DRAGON X6 is designed to ideally perform when it comes to challenging operations at airports. One of its main features is its two 1,080-horsepower FPT Industrial engines and its ability to reach 80 km/h in just 20 seconds, exceeding international requirements, which require a reaction from 0 to 80 km/h in 40 seconds. All vehicles are equippped with a 12,000 liter water tank enabling 6,000 liters of water per minute through its powerful roof monitor. From the front turret, the vehicle is capable of discharging 2,000 liters/minute of water/foam with a range of up to 45 meters. With their powerful new Magirus DRAGONs the airport fire brigades are perfectly equipped for the future.
