Personally I like the new version of the chair more. I doubt the head rest will move much unless you're constantly moving your head left and right, and I think it looks a lot nicer without the straps. Also I think the new lumbar looks very interesting. Not a huge upgrade, but the small new features add up to make a good chair even better.

Headrest moves but I agree it does look a tiny better :)

@@JohnyRodrii Ah does it? Shame. I guess they couldn't make it any stronger without it ruining the leather material behind it.

The head rest works very well and I think it provides a bit more flexibility for placement than the old strap method. I just wish my chair was 1" shorter... LOL

I’ve seen mixed reviews. Some say it’s fine, some say it moves. Bought a 2022 today, I’ll find out myself I guess. No brainer to get the updated version tbh. Looks better and the material is better also. I think 2020 owners just want to make themselves feel better 🤣

I´m 1,93 cm tall (like 6´3" i guess) and the Titan 2022 regular size fits me perfectly. I´ll say it fits me like a glove. This is important to know, as Secret Labs size chart can create confusion.
The XL size, it´s IMO just neccesary if you are tall, and i mean from 6´3" up, and WIDE ( we could say big, fat, etc... but i prefer to say wide, not all wide tall people is fat). That´s the real point of the XL size, it´s widthness is huge compared with the other models, but just the "regular" (so called) size of 2022, fits most of the tall people, i would say to a max. like 6´5" or so without any problem, and fits much better at your back/butt. And yes, the 2022 worths the change, it´s lumbar support makes a huge difference. Not saying that the previous model is bad, of course because it isn´t. But the 2022 is better.
If you´re tall and wide, like for example a bodybuilder on roids, or you like too much eating Doritos from like for example two decades, the XL is your choice. If your shape is like the youtuber at the video, buy the regular.

Dude check other videos. What I “ suspected “ it’s completely true, the magnetic pillow is rubbish it moves everywhere, sometimes it even falls !!! After having the chair for a while now. And checking many other videos for the 2022 I still think the same thing that I said in that video.

I bought the 2020 TITAN 1 week before the new chair 2022 was released. I told the support that I wanted to send my chair back and I would buy the new version after. But then after some reviews, I find myself in a situation where it's difficult to decide if I send it back and buy new one or keep the 2020. Honestily I like more the design of 2020, It looks more robust, it's bigger and has flater seat. In other hand, the new version has new features, like magnetic pillow and magnetic arm supports, which honestly I don't see it as anything special, but yeah, the improvement on the lumbar support seems to be interesting, although I heard that after one week the lumbar support starts to make noises every time the person seats back... So now I am in this dilema... send it back and buy the new one, or just forget it. Actually the support team gave me more than one month to return the 2020, so I still have the chance to do it... this happened because I told them that I wanted to send it back afer 7 days and they didn't understand that, and then I went in vacations and I had nobody to pack it and send it back to them so they extended the return time.

It’s a really tough decision. I was in the same predicament as you and ended up choosing the 2020. But in the end is your choice and I would never try to influence that. What I would say is meditate everything thoroughly and then make the decision.

Even now I'm considering the 2020 just by looking at the images, I noticed it's a far more flat base.
I've also had a bad experience with the wings digging into my thighs with a £100 Amazon chair. Very difficult decision.

I much more prefer for myself the Titan 2020 instead of 2022.
I'm not comfortable sitting with Lumbar support though even it its important and I like firmer seat hehe.
I dont know why I dont like with lumbar suporting?
What I only like in 2022 model is the Head Pillow and Arm Rest and the new Hybrid leather or what ever is that called
Plus I could just buy lumbar support in online separately and better cushioning.

    • @JohnyRodrii
      @JohnyRodrii  Před 3 lety +1

Lumbar support can be uncomfortable for some people. Although even without it it’s pretty good and comfortable, maybe try like me to add more lumbar support with time maybe. A little each month that’s what I’m trying right now. Cuz I researched a little and it can be a bit uncomfortable at the beginning and then you get used to it

@@JohnyRodrii I tried it actually for like few months with lumbar support. When I first got it.
Then I tried it without Lumbar.
I really much more like it without.
But I would try next with a pillow Lumbar support.
But thank you very much for the tips too I appreciate it.

As much as I love the over all quality of the chair, Secretlab claim that this the small version of this chair is suitable for someone as short as 4'11" (149.86cm) to 5'6" (167.64cm). Regrettably, this is a blatant lie. I just received my Titan Evo 2022 and at the lowest setting my feet just touch the ground. As my height is 5' 7.5", at the lowest setting my legs should be firmly planted on the floor (knees raised) and result in having to increase the height. I brought this to the attention of Secretlab customer service. The reply from customer service is ridiculous. "Our sizing guide for a rough estimation of which sizing is more suitable for you".

    • @JohnyRodrii
