I just need a craft room. We downsized when we moved back to Southern California and I soooooo miss having a craft room with organized things....right now my bedroom looks like Dollar Tree and Hobby Lobby blew up🤣🤣🤣🤣

I work out of my bedroom also. I was trying to think if I could downsize my clothing to a dresser and turn my closet into a craft closet. 😜 But I don’t think that will work.

I have 2 of the Alex Drawers and absolutely love them. The drawers seem small BUT don't let them fool ya, they hold a ton of stuff. Also have the metal buckets that hold scissors, Pens and such! Thanks, now I want to go to IKEA!!!!!! Thanks Shannon!
I almost got those! I was thinking - floating counter top and then those under so I could roll them around if I needed them but then saw this NORDLI drawers and fell in love! I'm sure I'll "need" the Alex units somewhere at some point. They look so useful!

I'm so glad you can see the work and thought process involved! I actually had this originally 6' wide and it was nice to be able to stretch it to 7' in the planning process to allow the extra walkway space. Compact but functional.
3D printing will help all of these inserts fit even better.

If you have a $5 Below close to you, they also have the clear shelves for $5 and they're the same or longer than most I've found online for$13 and up.and they also have my fave, the clear acrylic corner shelves

These are great suggestions.. I don't use IKEA as there is only one store & it is at the WA State & OR Border. All these prices sound great however I did notice that alot of the stores have raised their prices since the pandemic. Thank you again for your time & many talents. See you next time with more great ideas.
They do have great prices! But I've noticed their stock is super low too with the pandemic. Sort of hit or miss, which is sad if you make a long trip

I still move things around as I need them. That's part of the fun of it :). And thank you! You are so sweet! The Mac was a "gift" to myself this Christmas. Need it for work but it is nice to have that big screen!

Hi Shannon, hope you and your family are keeping well and safe. I love love IKEA, I have their big kallax shelving unit, its ideal for my little craft room. I have also got their rattan jars for buttons, table confetti gems and mini items like that. I find IKEA ideal for craft storage and at an affordable price. I have got a couple of units from storage4crafts, but the are more expensive, so now I go to IKEA. Thank you for sharing the ideas and once we come out of our lockdown in England, hopefully I can go to IKEA. Take care and stay safe xx

I agree! you could use DT or DG similar items and that's so nice to have alternatives. My grocery store has the white cabinet bins I saw the other day - blew my mind! That's so awesome that you have 2 craft spaces!!! Lots of creativity to be had!
I like how you did your craft room. I only have shopped at IKEA a couple of times. I would love to get those cabinets but I don't think I will be able to put them together myself. I had. bought the Alex 9 drawers which took my son months to come to my house and put it together for me and that was for my make up that is over flowing. At the time I didn't have art supplies. Right now I am using the Orgami that I purchased from either QVC or HSN. It was not hard to put together.. I also have a 3 tier cart that I purchased at Michaels. I will check some of your other videos. I have been watching a ton of craft room tours.
Shannon... this was a great collection of ideas! My favorite is the bag storage to floral storage hack! Super idea. I have some things in my Ikea shopping cart... and I'll have to add some of these storage items to it! Do your subs know that most often it's only $5 to ship from Ikea? If you're not ordering furniture... it's such a great price for shipping! I actually have a metal book shelf in my cart and it's still $5 for delivery. (the 23" "HYLLIS") It's not the same as going to an Ikea... but our closest one is 4.5 hours away... and $5 is a lot cheaper than gas! Thanks again for the inspiration, Shannon! ps. The last time I ordered from Ikea it was at the beginning of Covid lockdowns... Ikea did not have it together for the vast number of online orders they were receiving, Shipping took 2 months as opposed to the 2 weeks it usually takes. I hope things have stabilized since then ... What a tough time for businesses ...

Hey I’m driving 3 hours to the nearest IKEA to get stuff! I do it once a year or so...it’s like the annual pilgrimage to IKEA ! I tell my family “ I want IKEA stuff for my birthday and Christmas”
There is literally nothing that beats the IKEA furniture foe getting a space organized.
I make a list all year of stuff I need, and stuff I need to organize ....measure and take photos, .....poring over the ikea website , then head off to the store to see it “ in person” I just need a bigger vehicle to bring the all of the cool stuff home . If IKEA delivered like Amazon, I’d go broke so fast!
I’m gradually getting rid of all the “ make do” storage and replacing it with ikea stuff that does the job better and looks so much better.

I have Alex drawers. Wide ones. I use tons of the white plastic totes. All sizes n just bought the largest ones you have. I think I bought 1 to see how I use it. We bought the white rails but not up yet.

Very useful. How about your printer and other large tools - maybe wood working tools? Have you found a good way of organizing them without keeping them too out of reach and difficult to access?
The wall cabinet I didn't open has my tools - handsaw/miter box, brad nailer, drill, etc. It's not pretty but it fits and is handy! My other tools I keep in my workshop

Your craft room is absolutely gorgeous! Great ideas! Those names are hard to pronounce! 🤣 Do you know the best way to seal spray paint on glass? I use clear spray paint, then when it dries I use Triple Thick. I used a sheet of lattice to store my florals, it works great! I love it! As always thank you for sharing! Ya’all are lucky to have a craft room!! I have a studio apt, that has just recently been deep cleaned & have had to have pest control in. I’m at my son’s apt right now, helping him out & I have craft stuff here that I keep losing!! He’s recently divorced, has custody of the boy’s (15 & 12), is a truck driver & his ex never cleaned!!! I would love to have a room dedicated to crafts & sewing!!!

whenever I go to Ikea, I picture a group of stock boys in the lunchroom pulling tiles out of Scrabble bags [with all of the vowels removed] whatever order they pull them in, that becomes the new product's name [it's the only way that they make sense to me]
Are the big white cabinets on the wall a Pax?
I almost got those but they were $$ these are from Menards and only about $120 each. I want PAX all over my home though! They are so nice!
