    Was deciding how to plumb the piping through the cooler for our new FTSs, and your method looks simple and effective. No fittings necessary. Thanks!

      Hello, I wanted to know what do you do if the temperature of the beer drops?, does it have a controller that heats the beer? and if so, where is it settled ? Cheers!

    That is a brilliant idea to control temp. The Synapses in my brain are firing trying to figure out how I can build one of these out of an old soda keg.

    I believe your thougts are too optimistic.
    My own experience is i can keep temperatures of 18ºC , changing 4L of frozen bottles twice a day.
    This is in peak fermentation, and with an ambient temperature of 24C.
    If your ambient is lower ( you dont mention that) like say 20C i believe you can go lower.
    But in the summer (when i need it the most) i cannot ferment a lager (go down to 10C during fermentation) .
    I may try in the winter time, but i doubt i can change once a day

    Just install your own coil in the brewbucket and use an aquarium chiller.

    Do you like this more compared to the Speidel?

    Is it possible to chill the wort post boil with this?

    • @edc8926
      @edc8926 Před 7 lety

      Jeremy, did you ever get an answer, or try using it to cool your wort? Would it be possible to just set the Bucket lid with the coil into the Brew Kettle?

    When I saw your review of the FTSs I was so pumped, until I heard the audio. Dude, you really gotta get that fixed, I couldn't stand listening to it for 15 minutes and I'm probably not the only one.

      +Rasmus B Sorry about the audio. I know it came out a little crackly but it's really not that bad on my end. It's that bad on yours?

    Seems like a great system. Unfortunately, I brew small batches (2.5-3 gal). Those coils don't seem to go low enough. I wonder if there would be a way to lower them.

    Why not just use an old refrigerator with a johnson controller on it .....

    • @GaryWrightMusic
      @GaryWrightMusic Před 8 lety

      +Canadian Eh Brewer Space would be one of the bigger reasons I would imagine. In my case I don't have a lot of space compared to what I used to so this type of lower footprint is a blessing.

    • @extrem1st
      @extrem1st Před 7 lety

      My small fridge with a carboy in it is way smaller of a footprint than this. Once you add the second fridge for the cooling coils it doubles the footprint...

    • @Fanatullen
      @Fanatullen Před 5 lety

      But Canadian Eh Brewery, you cant just controll everything with your johnson. 🤣🤣 Cheers 🍻
