Chris, this is a fantastic evergreen video for us teachers working in the trenches. After being involved in large and small businesses for over 30 years I retired and started teaching business English from my office.
Off2Class has been a great help to me and I really like your recent business English lesson plans. The placement test has been very helpful as you point out in the video for correcting small common grammar mistakes in the A & B levels while the C level ones aren't so important for business English IMHO.
This has been probably my most personally rewarding experience while certainly not the most lucrative one after years in the top 1% of income earners in the business world. Money isn't everything however people should be paid what they're worth.
After obtaining two teaching certifications and excellent mentoring in teaching English plus having taught 100's of business and IT students and having extensive business experience I think I should get more than $ 39 USD per hour.
After 3 years of teaching and 3000 plus hours, my plan is to transition mostly to an independent platform to get away from the commodity mentality of the freelancer sites. I'm considering getting even more focused in my niche plus building communities and video courses to lead to coaching opportunities.
BTW, I think Preply and Italki are great places to start and both have allowed me to learn my trade.
