    Nice honest review of the bac855 kit. Got this kit on my dual battery R and it honestly feels like a new bike. Definitely should have came like this out of the factory!

      Even with my older battery, it feels like a brand new bike. Totally agree that it should been like this stock

      @@YaTuChavez Having just watched a few of your videos regarding this upgrade (I've only come across you an hour ago for the first time and subbed, great channel) with your controller, would you know if it's compatible with my Super73 S1? I'm looking for more power and, having a stock S1 (bought in Jan '20), I'm looking to get a suspension kit for it as well but can't seem to find who may sell parts or old 73s with kits. Any help would be appreciated. Thx.
      If not, will you be making one for the Risetto (which I am purchasing if I can't give my S1 more power as well as a suspension kit) any time soon?

    Looking forward to this controller being available for the Ariel rider 52v. Hopefully the lighting works by then because the stock Ariel rider lights are pretty useful.

      Lighting is basically a must when street riding. I feel almost naked without it, at least with no turn signals

  • @Altema22
    @Altema22 Před 11 měsíci +1

    Agreed: Battery replacement will fix it. The weaker cells cannot keep up with the discharge rate, the voltage sags to the low voltage cutoff point, and the BMS turns the battery off. Adding a second battery in parallel will also fix the issue, as the load will be shared and the stress on your original battery will be lower. Although they could make changes to the controller programming, I don't think it would be worthwhile to engineer a solution to accommodate a battery going bad. Fixing the lights/horn/signals would be a higher priority 😉

      @handlworks Před 11 měsíci +1

      Yep! Also, we do already have folks using this kit with dual batteries and we have that firmware update ready for whoever wants it. We're told the bike rips on a dual setup 🤠

      @@handlworks does it needs to be with the original splitter cable from chi battery systems or is it possible with your controller to directly connect them parallel?

    Bypass bms the battery give you 10 to 15 percent more power but still cut out at 100 percent, need a battery at least or close to 90amp that controller have

    • @YaTuChavez
      @YaTuChavez  Před 11 měsíci

      Hard to tell what my range would be. Compared to any new battery I’m assuming mine would die faster so I would probably have less range than expected

    My bike has the same issue stock battery I been trying to figure out why it’s happening for weeks. I might buy myself a new battery I have 2000 miles on my stock one

  • @Trillville43
    @Trillville43 Před 8 měsíci

    Let's say you get 20 miles per full charge multiply that times the rated cycle life which at 800 full charges would be 16,000 miles you would have on the bike before the battery should start showing signs of aging.

  • @andrewshively6475
    @andrewshively6475 Před 11 měsíci +1

    Man the battery cut off kills it for me. I hear what people are saying that sure it’s just because of an older battery, but the battery is aging everyday, so even if you have a newer one, you may be fine now, but it’s inevitable that you’re gonna have problems in the future based off these claims.
    Honestly I’m glad there’s a product on the market to aid in speed/power, and it’s a great first attempt, but I’m just personally not a buyer at this moment for that reason.
    At 2k for a controller and battery you may as well spend just a bit more and do the voltage upgrade for just a bit more and go twice as far and wayyyyyy faster.

    • @YaTuChavez
      @YaTuChavez  Před 11 měsíci

      Like I mentioned in the video, this battery is 2-3 years old. And so far I’ve been the only one reporting this issue. So if someone who doesn’t have a bike as old as mine gets this controller, they should be good for a while. Most people with a bike this old upgrade it to a higher power. I’m just too broke to do that right now

    • @andrewshively6475
      @andrewshively6475 Před 11 měsíci

      @@YaTuChavez right I hear ya. I’m just saying with a 600 dollar controller on top of purchasing a 1000 dollar battery after tax and shipping you’re looking at like 2k- just to go 3-4 miles faster. I agree that’s how the s73 should’ve felt stock, but for just a bit more you may as well just do the voltage upgrade and go twice as far and wayyyyyy faster. To each his own I suppose..

      @YaTuChavez  Před 11 měsíci +1

      I see you're concern, honestly until I either get a new battery or the issue can be fixed via firmware, I probably wont be taking this bike out on group rides with others for a while. As for 72v, that might be too powerful for me!

    the only problem with those bac controllers is that they are wayyyyy expensive for a maximum of 50 amps output when you can just get a normal 50a controller for like 100 bucks with a new display and everything.
