Sanga, jayasuriya, kallis, abd and other wc greats missed out but I can understand the thought process of sticking with guys whose performances actually helped win the world cup. WC is the pinnacle trophy to win, of course I'm talking about ODI WC. T20 WC shouldn't call and shouldn't branded as WC, the tournament should named " the world t20 Championship " just like 'world test Championship '. Triangular and quadrilateral series should play as a series at least once in six months.

Mitchell Starc has been phenomenal over two World Cups. 49 wickets at a scarcely believable average of 14.81 and an economy of 4.64 - an amazing achievement in modern day cricket.
    Further ODI World Cup stats:
    • 2015 ODI World Cup winner.
    • Only player to take three 5-wicket hauls.
    • Only player to take 40 wickets or more at a strike-rate of less than 20.
    • One wicket in his next match will see him comfortably become the fastest to 50 wickets - if he went wicketless in his next 8 matches and took one in his 9th, he would still beat the record.

When it comes to Tri-nation tournaments they used to have in 90s, Asia Cups, Champions Trophies and of course 96 World Cup, there was no one better to play that crucial match winning innings other than Aravinda De Silva himself... Such an underrated, great of the game. Stats are one thing, but rising up to the task when chips are down in a Final or a Semi-Final is something else, and that's where Aravinda comes in. I have tried to create three squads across three generations of ODI cricket; 1975 - 1992; 1996 - 2011; 2015 - 2023. This is very subjective, and I am sure one could come up with multiple competitive teams across each generation, and there were many different players who came under consideration.
    1975 - 1992
Gavaskar, Greenidge, Richards, Miandad, Border, Lloyd (C), Dev, Dujon (WK), Imran, Hadlee, Garner, Aravinda, Gower, Haynes, Akram, Marshall and Marsh as back-up keeper.
    1996 - 2011
Tendulkar, Sehwag, Ponting (C), Kallis, Lara, Dhoni (WK), Yuvraj, Afridi, Akram, Murali, McGrath, Sangakkara, Gilchrist, Bevan, Lee, Steyn and Warne.
    2015 - 2023
Sharma, DeKock, Kohli, Smith, Stokes, Maxwell, Jadeja, Al Hasan, Starc, Bumrah, Rabada, Rashid Khan, Babar, Pandya, Buttler, Williamson and Boult.
Using these squads as a basis, the all-time CWC Squad to me would look something like:

      Lara and Yuvraj yes,
Kohli needs to do more in World Cups. But if we were picking an all-time ODI XI Kohli will be there.
Inzy, Crowe, Jayawardane gave some great performances, but not with the regularity of others.
Kallis would make an all-time Test XI maybe, but not ODI.

You guys didn’t even mention Kapil Dev? The man who started the asian cricket craze. Who stopped the West Indies juggernaut. Played the single greatest CWC innings ever. India 17 for 5 at Turnbridge against Zimbaabwe in a must win game. He came out and made 175 of 138 balls. In 1983. And India won that world cup. Tell me again how are Imran Khan and Clive Lloyd ahead? How is Kapil not even mentioned. Do atleast some research otherwise its a nonsensical video.

All time World Cup 11 should be selected based on stastics in world cups rather than the players whom you like. Aravinda is a great player, but will he in the first 11, not really. Then comes Imran Khan, Adam Gilchrist, who are great players, but will they be in the first 11, it’s again doubt.
