Tuba is no longer just an instrument and a meme , it's more than that, it's... it's a genre or at least that's what I think

The Mercenary. You hear your makeshift alarms, shotgun shells rigged to tripwires, go off just as you make it into your hiding spot. From within the decrepit attic in this wartorn house, you hear heavy footsteps below and the clanking of metal, as he searches for you.
You once knew the Mercenary. He was once of your soldiers, as you led them in the name of King Tuba II. The dreaded rust that spread through the Kingdom corrupted not only your king, your leader, but your best friend, too.
No time to be reminiscing, now- you hear those footsteps coming up the steps, stopping just outside the door.. listening.
You shift, and accidentally bump into an ancient, dented cymbal, creating a muffled CLANG.. which is not nearly as loud as the sound of the door being kicked off it's hinges.
Botched. He's there, and an alarm not of your making is being sounded from outside. You dive through the attic window, fall two stories onto your feet. You've endured worse than this, but your old bones feel as though they shatter despite your augmentations preventing just that. Gasping in pain, you sprint through the no-man's land of the city streets and run into the thick of the urban jungle, while the Mercenary behind lays down fire against you with his sonic trumpet.
You round a corner, and dash into a doorway. Unluckily for you, this happens to be a location where several Tuba Soldiers are camped out, and react too slowly, as you liberate their heads from their bodies with your Trombokatana. But, one manages to call out, and within seconds the Mercenary is there at the doorframe.
No running now.
You lunge at him with the speed of sound, but he is even faster, empowered by the Rust Corruption. He parries your blow with his trumpet, before counterattacking with a series of lethal sonic blasts. You raise your Trombokatana and absorb the blasts with it, leaving the weapon ringing with sonic energy- and then you strike the floor.
Dissolution. Your Trombokatana shatters as it channels all the energy of his blasts and more into the ground, seemingly shaking the world as cracks form in the walls and the building begins collapsing. You dash out of the building just moments before it collapses, and escape into the desolate concrete jungle. You want to be certain that your former friend is dead, but a gnawing feeling in your gut betrays the truth. He lives, and he will come for you again.
New Horizons. Months pass. You have traveled far out of the Brass Kingdom to recover your strength and perhaps even prepare to fight the Rust. It is a grueling task, surviving in the endless wastes of the former Land of Strings, and you only survive due to perseverance and luck. Monsters roam this place, carrying with them their former possessions before they were mutated, your only chance of finding food and water here.
Eventually, you find a city of survivors, those who have fled from the Brass Kingdom like you. Some soldiers you recognize, a lot of civilians who were lucky to get out unscathed, and even more who are still nursing old wounds earned in their escape. However, no matter who they are, they all burn with a passion to reclaim their homeland, and you rouse them to arms. After some time, you manage to acquire enough weaponry to lead the survivors to fight against the Rust and the corrupted King Tuba II.
The Front. You lead your army on a march through the wastes of the Land of Strings, fighting through the monsters and losing several of your fighters in the process, but despite this you carry on towards your destination. After a week of travel, you arrive at the borders to the Tuba Kingdom, but you are not alone. The entire Tuba Legion has gathered to meet your charge headfirst, and in the distance you spot a familiar figure.
The battle begins. Weapons are activated, saxogrenades thrown, sonic trumpets fired, and trombokatanas are slashed through the air. The initial charge of your troops is stopped by a battalion of Tuba Lancers, but you see no casualties yet.
Then, the Tubartillery shells begin raining down.
Initially, it's just a few shells here and there, dealing minor damage, but later you come to believe that these were only tracers from smaller Tubartillery units. You hear a THWOOM, and your troops begin to be launched through the air, bodies broken and armor shattered by these sonic weapons of mass destruction.
Desperation. It's going badly. The Tubartillery has ruined your army. You know one thing, however- that there is a leader unit somewhere, providing the power of the Rust to all these soldiers, and more importantly powering the Tubartillery. You disappear into the sidelines, flanking around the main battle, until you arrive deep into enemy lines, face to face with The Mercenary.
Your battle begins, the corrupted soldiers forming a ring around the two of you. You see his smile through a rusted-through hole in his helmet, a smile of something inhuman, before you clash your Trombokatanas together, the deadly blades ringing with energy as they attempt to slice through one another. You channel your will through your sword, prodding at his mental defenses as he does the same to you, before you find a chink in his strong psionic wall and unleash a burst of psiSonic energy directed at it. Temporarily stunned by this, The Mercenary recoils and you strike at his legs, sweeping them out from under him. The Tuba soldiers surrounding break their circle formation and charge at you, but they are too slow, as you plant your Trombokatana straight into his rusted heart.
Fallen Soldier. The battle stops as the Rust leaves the Tuba soldiers in this area. Empty husks of rotted flesh and browned metal fall to the ground, no longer bound to life by the hideous power of the Rust. You kneel before your old friend, The Mercenary, and you recall his true name.
Prince Tuba II, son of the King.
The battle may be over, but the war has only just begun. You rally your remaining troops and march further into the Brass Kingdom, not knowing of the horrors that lay in wait there.. even more so horrifying by your friend the Prince, turned from a loving companion into an undead husk.

Are you using brass kicker? That’s brutal he only appears at least on orchestrator and that’s not nearly as hard as brass kicker. it’s even harder to find him on brass kicker as well. Not many people know this but you can get him out of the tube a Mac. You need to use the washboard shield and that’s literally zero defense but the ability to eject pilots or dismount enemies farmer there too but horses is a pretty good one

You forgot one thing. This is a secret boss so if you put it onto your original helmet it turns into a trombone of the pilot. Extremely good high damage goods stun But the best part is the fact that every minute as long as you don’t have one down already you’re able to summon in the spirit of a tuba titan. Much less powerful than the two retighten you need to do fight in order to get this all but it’s still pretty good
After the war in the frontier, the end of apex predators and the events in apex legends, Blisk phase jumped into the tuba universe and started to work for the tuba king as the maestro of the Apex Orchestra, a group of mercenaries who will spill the enemy's blood if you pay the brass. I see people writing lore for this series, so I'm gonna add my own ideas to the mix.

It's no secret that EDM was steadily growing in popularity before the Catastrophe, though the Electron Annihilators make up a surprisingly small minority of the survivors. These advanced cyborgs are noticeably less human than other factions, but their technology is unmatched, far surpassing that of even pre-Catastrophe civilization. However, they remain strictly neutral in all conflicts, preferring to keep to themselves in their own isolated section of what used to be Japan.
That is, except for their advanced automatons, generally referred to as Bass Knights by most survivors. These robots are exceedingly smart, able to completely outmatch a force of equivalent size with ease, and always carry around heavy weapons to some degree, such as Bass Cannons, Audio Sweeps, Synth Beams, and "Drops", their most powerful weapon. Getting hit by a Drop is like getting a rocket to the face, and it just needs to hit near you to inflict that kind of force.
These robots tend to be used in trades in exchange for resources, primarily sources of energy; Any faction that wasn't hostile towards the Electron Annihilators (and no one was, because nobody wanted to anger them) could buy the services of a Bass Knight squadron temporarily in exchange for batteries, silicon, coal, occasionally uranium, and so on. The Annihilators would trade for most materials, even large quantities of scrap they could separate and reprocess. "Waste not, want not", they say.
Despite their seemingly insurmountable position of power, they aren't eternal. They're susceptible to espionage and deceit just like other factions, even if others aren't as willing to risk Bass Knights knocking at their door. Additionally, nearly everyone in the faction has some degree of eye impairment, be that nearsightedness, colorblindness, or even lack of vision entirely. With these flaws combined with their lack of large quantities of any one resource (they don't have access to massive deposits like other factions sometimes do), it's clear that the day someone cracks open their technology is the same day that they fall. To counter this, all of their technology is designed with failsafes that completely destroy their hardware once it detects that a non-Electron is messing with it or trying to study it.
However, more recent reports suggest that following recent temporary lulls in conflict, the Bass Knights aren't in service as much, and thus the Electron resource stockpiles are rapidly running low. With this in mind, it seems that soon, the Electron Annihilators will "wake up", so to speak, and attempt to assert their power over the rest of the world.

@@Paper_Brain my idea is that we are controlling every instrument forced into a fusion by the Tuba King II, but since it gone wrong they decide to execute it, before we managed to run away. After lots of years the fusion can work together and it's going to it's quest to destroy the Tuba Legion

I just found the channel and arrived here after watching all the other videos. An idea I had was an organ-based character, logically it could be some type of priest.
Ooh! Better yet, some demonic priest-turned-bad organ of sorts! Imagine the ghostly noises emitted from that thing...

Even without their armor, the pilots are a force to be reckoned with. Their augmentations allow them to travel at sonic speeds and give them just enough strength to wield the mighty electric B.A.S.S with deadly precision. If you cross one, one of you is losing a few limbs, and they will make sure it isn’t them.

The year is 2XXX a soldier is desperately fighting off the hordes of mechanized instruments, trying to keep the front lines from falling apart. He stands firm with only a recorder in hand, playing as his life depended on it but he is only man, his lungs soon needed breath but not the instruments.. he is struck down with a high pitch screech from a flute and is about to meet his fate but before the final blow was struck, a loud roar was heard, blowing the mechanized instrument away. Surprised by the roar, the soldier looked up to see The Tuba Sentries!
so this was why schools were teaching us how to use the recorder
This game went completely away from the tuba night lore that’s why this game is trash
The tuba pilot is actually very special for the unique way it adapts to difficulty changes
-in easy it of course has lower stats but also has lower hp from the recent destruction of its mech, making it prioritize on healing instead of attacking you for a bit of the fight
-on normal it’s well normal, jumps out of the mech as a second phase
-hard is kinda the same
-impossible mode is known for changing up most enemies and bosses to make them harder and in this fight the gimmick is that TubaMech is an ai and pilot doesn’t have to control it, so you have to fight both of them at the same time
Yeah, the mix of a fast attacker and the AoEs from the Mecha are hell in Impossible Mode.
They also changed around the Places where the Mecha parts are hidden, when you spare the pilot. BUT you still just get help from the pilot against the Tuba King, when you help him rebuild the mecha.
I felt a bit cheated after all that but he said that the rebuild one is not quite the same, so I guess they have a lore explaination for not giving you both allies

The Tuba Pilot, second phase of the TubaMech, is first seen out of it as it crashes to the ground in a fiery explosion.
The pilot works as a polar opposite of the TubaMech, stopping you from leaning into any one load out that would make the TubaMech easy.
While the Mech has slow speed, large area of effect, low attack, high defense and high health, the pilot has single hit attacks, high attack, no defense and little health, which he makes up for with his astronomical speed which allows him to dodge most charged attacks
"No!" You shout, as your adoptive brother is slowly consumed by the rust. You hear some sort of squeaking noise, coming from the depths of his throat.
"Long live..." he begins.
"Don't waste your breath, please, just stay alive!" you respond in desperation.
"Long live King Tuba II!" he finishes.
"Say something! DON'T DIE ON ME!" But it's too late. He's gone. You take a moment to process his last words. King Tuba? He was the one who caused this whole mess! Before, it was just hearing about tubas being infected with the disease. But now? Now it was personal. You were going to get revenge.
Epic orchestral music, as always!
After the corruption spread, he kept fighting, and fighting, waiting for the letter to come, that tells him he can go home.
He fought in the war .... now he has nothing left to give but his allegiance.
I always saw him as a forsaken, regretful and fallen version of the Doomslayer. Gone the energetic metal music and now replaced with a somber musci, full of fatality.
And actually his theme is a huge foreshadowing of the big plot twist incoming

One of the earliest allies, you just need to fight him once and he will help you, fight him two times when he starts betraying and he will follow you, then just fight for a third time when he tries to suicide and then you’ll unlock him as a playable character, it is your best bet at getting weapons, as he gets more money from battles because it’s a mercenary, and because is part of the tuba team, he is immune to light damage, meaning he MUST be in the front line of your team, killing light enemies, and when you unlock the tuba mecha, you’ll be able to do fight whit bosses like if it where the initial missions

tbf like, he has a mech, of course hes gonna be broken. Whilst story-wise an amazing character, from a balance perspective I think his inclusion was a terrible decision. They can't make superhuman brass soldier with a fucking tubamech balanced in a lineup of otherwise infantry, and at the same time make it feel satisfying. it just doesnt work.

These themes are more epic than your average boss themes
this is our fate, the mercenary is hunting all of us, one by one. He brings terror and fear everywhere he goes. We fight with our recorders and guitars but the mercenary is simply too strong. He never talks which makes him unpredictable. We never know what he will do next, we hide in groups. We wait for the time to rise again. We find a way out this loop. He is strong. Ready to fight battle and defeat. Hunting like a poacher. We know this is the end, the tuba soldiers and crusaders try. We persuade the army to defeat mercenary. Alas he's a one man army, he hunts and does deals. That's why he's a mercenary, at this point im curious and scared of what he thinks in his tuba mind. Despair comes, there is no escape, he says for the first time: You can run but not hide. Truly menacing of him to say such a thing.

A new Pilot came and helped us take an TMC base today. I ain't ever seen a Titan like that. It was large and Brass, almost like a Trombone, the damn thing. Each step it took sent up immense amounts of dirt and dust. On it's arms and back were large- sliding pistons and vents that all reciprocated when he moved. Then there was the Steam. Every 5 minutes, the boys would need to clear out from behind it cause the damn thing'd let out a ton of damn Steam. Every movement of this- thing was like listening to a train. It creaked and hissed and clunked. It was gorgeous. It's weapon was the 40mm "Trumpet" Semi-Automatic Cannon. It shot these Heavy Ordinance Rumbe Nearproximity Rounds, or HORN Rounds. It blew up right next to an enemy vehicle, no matter how far the damn thing was.
