  • This is my favorite chem lab setup, which eliminates gas micromanagement.

I had no idea attaching a button to a platform would toggle output of all canisters like that

Well I never knew those T platforms were useful... will try this

very simplistic approach that I appreciate! Thanks!

There's no need to set an auto arm and another platform to pick the product. If the product cansiter is placed along the same platform that the chemistry lab resides in AND the automation button is toggled in the chemistry lab's PDA, then it would automatically move the product to the resource canister and keep on crafting without the need of an another platform, auto arm, and a button.
Reduces redundancy, saved on power and resources and space, and reduces time.
Works with unloading resources, crafting anything in general (except backapck printer), harvesting gases, trading, etc. (When the automation button is toggled and the resource canisters are on the same platform with the machine intended for use)

@@cheez5748 Yes I am aware of this functionality, but I choose not to employ it in this case for a couple of reasons. First of all, a Large Silo A has the perfect number of slots for the six gas canisters and the two input canisters. There is no room for the output canister with this configuration.
Second of all, it can be quite challenging to ensure that the output canister receives the intended resource, rather than receiving one of the input resources instead. With the configuration I am using in the video, this problem is solved by filtering the auto arm.
Like I said, there are plenty of other ways to do it. If you feel like you have a suggestion that would accomplish the same thing in a better way, then it would be best to do a demonstration where you show it in action. I would be interested to see an actual implementation of a setup where you have all canisters, including the output canister, on the same platform, without running into problems like the output canister receiving the wrong resource.
