One of my family member was part of 1965 war. He tells me that story. That was a golden mission of Indian army. By the time of returning,He took a Garman shepherd from there as glorious war memory.

Jinnah wanted to have my city Kolkata as the part of Pakistan. Kolkata then was the most infrastructurally, economically best city in whole India. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee was against that because then the Bengali Hindus like us would not have anything. We bangali hindus have already sacrificed too much for India's freedom struggle. So Lahore was given yo pakistan in exchange of Kolkata. And Jinnah was unhappy about it.

My great great grandfather was born in Lahore. Our complete family lived in lahore before partition. When we left we had chests of gold. Which, we had to bury in the ground and leave. Because, people at that time thought we could return after sometime and take the gold.
Apart from fight and politics,I am from Lahore.I'll recommend my Indian brothers to visit it once in life.Hope so I'll also come to India

In 1965 Pakistan send their then's foreign minister Bhutto to UN and unfortunately UNSC declared ceasefire when our troops were at the gate of Lahore. Pakistan started that war by entering illegally in kashmir and ended with rushing to UN.
