REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA
n 1602, the Dutch established the Dutch East India Company (VOC) in Indonesia and became the dominant European power by 1610. The VOC was formally dissolved in 1798, and the government of the Netherlands established the Dutch East Indies under government control.
The Japanese invasion and occupation during WWII ended Dutch rule and encouraged the previously suppressed independence movement. After the surrender of Japan in 1945, Sukarno, influential nationalist leader, proclaimed Indonesian independence and was appointed president.

actually Indonesia is not indian people, we're Indonesia same as filipino & malaysia (austronesian people) in south-east asia,
because indonesian people used to adopt indian beliefs and influence by indian beliefs (hinduism and buddhism) such as Thailand, Cambodia, and Burma (indochina), almost Southeast Asia influence by indian beliefs
called Indonesia because in the past European sailors thought it was part of India just because there was influence from India and Southeast Asians were generally brown-skinned,
it was the same misunderstanding as Native Americans called Indians.
Mexico are Indian because the people belong to native american some are mix with european like spanish unlike Filipino Malaysia and Indonesia are malay race originate in southeast asian archipelago
