Raymond Bourque lifting the cup gives me chills every time
Same here I was rooting for Colorado to win the Stanley Cup so Ray Bourque can lift it up and retire a Stanley Cup champion
Hope we can see jumbo joe doing the same
That's one of two memories of Ray, the other being May Day goal where he was undressed 😂
One of the most hockey sounding names to ever step on the ice. "Ray Borque", legend.
@@jamalbob6665 He's gotta do it this year or maybe next, after that though I fear his body's gonna be too beat up.
They got the list right. They included my favorite SCF goal of all time! "OFF THE FLOOR, ON THE BOARDS, PAUL KARIYA!!!!!!"
Wasn't this after Stevens decked him unconscious and later came back? Has to be one of the greatest moment in hockey - you deck someone now they never come back next shift. Yikes
guys winning their first championship in their late 30s or 40s makes me tear up seeing their celebrations. it's 2 decades of grind finally paying off. i love that crap
That first one… “IF YOU’RE A GOALTENDER, TEND THE GOAL!”
I did a double take to make sure i wasn't being too harsh in asking "WTF was the goalie doing?", and after that i asked the same question with my hand over my forehead very What The Fuckingly.
Thought for sure we'd hear Jack Buck "We will see you... tomorrow night"
Agreed.
Rick jeannerret is the best announcer in sports history. His calls give me chills. Sad to see him retire
“AUBURNS GONNA WIN THE FOOTBALL GAME!”
RIP to the legend Rod Bramblett.
Gary Thorne...one of the most underrated play callers in history
Without a doubt the greatest call of all time was the Al Michaels "Miracle on Ice" call. Nothing else compares.
Al is the best commentator of all time right?
Chuck,
I saw this on TV 43 years ago and it still gives me goosebumps. The only thing greater was when my STL Blues finally won the Stanley Cup in 2019.
Easily the David Bote HR was my favorite regular season moment I've seen. That was jaw-dropping
That 2013 Blues Steen shortie call was unlike anything I've heard as a native St. Louisan. Enterprise(formerly Scottrade at the time) Center literally *EXPLODED* the roof off the building. I believe if i recall the Kings were favored to win that series easily. Nobody saw us taking Gm1
Dang R.I.P. Scottrade Center roof whatever year it was built - 2013
@@Soggy5271 1994
The kings did win that series lol
@@justinzeid212 I thought it was older
@@Soggy5271 Coincidentally, Chicago Stadium and the St. Louis Arena we’re both built in 1929, and both were replaced in 1994 by the United Center and the Kiel Center, respectively. Kiel was a former mayor of St. Louis and the new (in 1994) Kiel Center was grafted onto part of the old Kiel Auditorium. Kiel Center became Savvis Center, then Scottrade Center, and now Enterprise Center.
Conversely, the United Center hasn’t changed names since it’s inception.
I wish the call for the 94 canucks game as trevor linden struggled back to the bench was on here:
"He will play, you know he'll play, he'll play on crutches!"
Thank you for uploading the only 2 great moments in Mariners history. Please for the love of God let them make the playoffs this season.
They forgot the missed extra point by New Orleans... not a happy moment, but the most emotional call I've ever heard. "NOOOOOOOOO!!!! THEY MISSED THE EXTRA POINT!!!"
Great one to start with! John Kelly is a legend!
Only for the team I feel like these are iconic moments when u hear, see, or say a team u think of specific iconic moments
Miracle on ice will always be #1. Nothing comes even close.
I was surprised though that two very iconic ones are missing. “Havlicek stole the ball!” and “I don’t believe what I just saw!”
My favorite greatest calls in sports history from this video:
0:09
John Kelly & Darren Pang's Call to Alex Steen's OT Goal in Game 1 of the 2013 Western Conference Quarterfinals between the LA Kings and the St. Louis Blues
0:29
Dave Sims' Call to Felix Hernandez's Perfect Game against my Tampa Bay Rays
1:25
Mike Breen's Call to Ray Allen's Game-Tying 3-Pointer in Game 6 of the 2013 NBA Finals between the San Antonio Spurs and my Miami Heat
2:23-2:32
Matt Vasgersian's Call to David Bote's Walk-off Grand Slam against the Washington Nationals on August 12, 2018
3:25
Gary Throne's Call to Raymond Bourque lifting the Stanley Cup after the Colorado Avalanche win the Stanley Cup in 2001
7:16
Joe Buck's Call to Aaron Boone's G7 Walk-off Home Run against the Boston Red Sox in the 2003 ALCS, which sends the New York Yankees to the 2003 World Series to take on my Miami Marlins (Formerly known as my Florida Marlins)
7:29
Russ Hodges' Call to Bobby Thompson's 1951 "Shot Heard Round The World" Home Run
8:14
ESPN's Call to Indiana upsetting #1 Kentucky
No "Touch 'em all Joe?"
No "Henderson has scored for Canada?"
Joe Carters home run would be in part 2 hopefully if there is one
Henderson scores
“The Pick” by Jerry Allen should be an honorable mention. The greatest play in Oregon Football history.
bro you have hardly any subs but i hope you continue these , i enjoy the commentary hype and your videos will gain traction eventually, thanks for the content
Nice video
I hope the Buffalo Sabres win the Stanley Cup while Rick Jeanneret is still alive to enjoy it. He deserves a parade.
Disappointed the Caps radio call from Evgeny Kuznetsov’s OT series winner in 2018 against the penguins isn’t on here
I remember the diggs. Let’s hope he brings the bills a super bowl dub.
You forgot Martin Tyler calling Sergio Aguero's championship winning goal against QPR
Including Boone but not Ortiz or the Robert's steal might be the biggest sports sin in history
The Billy Mills call needs to be on here
3:39 my oh my
Thanks for watching, let me know what you guys think on music in the background on videos like this
Gary Bettman. Out of all these highlights I pick Miracle On Ice. Aside from these calls, how I would run the NHL is that I would make each conference have 4 divisions and 4 teams in each of those division in each conference but still do number of points and the top 8 teams to determine who will make the playoffs in each conference regardless of division.
Having music play for a video about the greatest calls isn't the best
Hey Gary, what’s the name of the music of the first part of the video ?
the show goes on- lupe fiasco
The most random Pat Foley call of all time
Gus Johnson’s call of the USA goal is 10x more exciting
Don't forget his "cold blooded" call in the pac 10 championship back in 2010
Never got “the king has his crown” 😭
there’s literally a song based off one of these
Look, I love Joe Buck, but that Boone call did not need to be in this video.
Joe Buck is a DISGRACE to his father's legacy
All those hockey highlights and "the demons have been exorcised" isn't on there smh
Tiger woods “it’s just not a fair fight?” Pebble 2000
the better options would be "In your life have you ever seen anything like that?" from the 2005 Masters and "Better than most!"
Man City final goal
How does "The band is on the field" not make this compilation?
You’ve missed nearly as many famous calls as you put into this video.
So you have the Kawhi Shot but not Joe Carters Walkoff to win the 93 World Series
You forgot cardiac kemba
Where is the kings ot stanley cup goal
Nice video but why wasn’t Joe Carter winning the World Series in here?
Where is touch ‘‘em all joe
No Steve Yzerman from the blue line??
As a Blues fan, I agree that shot should be in this vid.
As awesome as Boone's moment was, that's yet another dogshit Joe Buck call lmao
