Thanks for watching!
Wow, they are the true definition of "Nomads". What a beautiful front yard they currently have.
Safe travels everyone.
I would love to be able to do this some day but I am taking care of my 91 year old, father and 85 year old mother, when my duty to them is done they also wish this for me.
Why not get a schoolie bus and take them with you on your journey? Give them a bit of adventure before they pass!
@@zenmasterorwhatever sometimes when people get older they have issues that make traveling really hard and not fun. I look after my 90 + Mother. She loves her appartment and doesn't want to travel much anymore. She can't ride over 6 to 8 hours in a day with out uncomfortable swelling in her leggs and ankles. Ladysuesue2021 take time to take care of yourself and health and when our obligations are done I hope our paths cross out on the road.
The right thing to do. Then you can travel without worries or feelings of guilt.
God's blessings 🙌 to you and your family I hope you get to live your dreams, and I admire you for your awesomeness. Its not easy to be a caregiver, but I will see you one day on the road. I am trying to learn from each video how to do this myself. CJ
These two have figured IT out! They are minimalists on a mission to enjoy life to its fullest, and living the good life (as they are proving) is not about collecting STUFF! Damn inspiring!
A typical spot on a beach in Mexico you might get charged five bucks a night for a spot. No hookups.
With hookups we’d pay up to $15 a night if we want a hot shower
We once paid $25 a night for a special spot with swimming beach access, hot showers and WiFi. That was the most ever.
Wild camping is free of course as are most truck stops, some charge a couple of bucks. Wild camping is safe and quiet except weekends when Mexican families go to the beach and play loud music and laugh. A lot. Great fun.
Mainland Mexico is more interesting and colorful than Baja.
Hope that helps.
I have had five different Kodiak Canvas tents and agree. They are the Best!!
Just got my permanent Mexican visa and heading to Cabo to start. Plan to bounce around Mexico and explore.
How do you get a permanent Mexican visa? What does it cost and how do you apply for it? Do you need a passport?
2 +6
This was my plan. Sale the house. Give the kids what they wanted. Auction off everything else and take off in my jeep. Then my 85-year-old mother got Dementia. I'm the only one left to take care of her. Plans are only on hold. Not giving up on them.
I enjoy your interviews so much! I also loved this couple and their whole vibe.
I had no idea this was possible. You hear so many stories about how “dangerous” it is south of the border. Ha! Brittany and Tom have a great life. I live in eastern Oregon where winter is harsh! This looks like an amazing option for being snowbirds on a tight budget!
One thing you didn’t cover is how they go to the toilet.
There are outhouses a short walk from the beach :)
Mexico is very safe, except for maybe the border towns. I spent four months last winter in Panama. Very safe and friendly people.
Don't believe everything they tell you on the news the world is full of kind people...
@@NomadicRVLiving yep, I travel in 3 month sprints, already did Panama, Bocas Del Toro, Boquete, Costa Rica (Puerto Viejo)
Spain, from Barcelona to Lalin, where the Camino Del Inv Invierno goes through.
Now, we are building out a bus, we will drive in states a bit, but we will eventually end up in Cista Rica, rig is completely off grid. Hop to see you somewhere out there, "Running with spoons"
I have a canvas tent on my list. Love this set up! Just wish we could have seen the inside of their tent.
They are really put together 😃. Gives me hope. I'm saving for a van.
Sorry you didn’t use your camera to take pictures of the area where they were. Would have loved to see that the surroundings
I have that mattress.
Been living in my durango for 8 weeks.
Never slept better.
I retire in 4 months.
I've been learning so much from these videos.
Great interview!
Out of your comfort zone...but making it happen.
That's the secret to happiness.
My two cents😉
What a great couple. They really seem to be enjoying their lives. I enjoyed this interview. Excellent video, Brian, thanks.
Well said.....reminds me of a famous quote...." Your life at this very moment is all there ever is"....
What a great lifestyle and interview. She is an amazing communicator.
Travel is amazing for expanding your communication abilities. Xenophobic is synonymous with antisocial isolation.
This is amazing. Great interview. I look forward to spending time reading their blog. Thank you.
Bravo 👏! Live, love and spread kindness, very inspiring couple. Brian thanks so much for another great video!
So many ways to do nomadic life! Thank for sharing so much experience & knowledge!
What a nice background as well as this traveler couple. Heading to Baja next month with the same springbar + Clam setup. So cool to see the setup in action and all the adaptions to it. Can't wait
Great vid, Beautiful scenery, and nice people. Totally love the closing, so long and see you on down the road.
Save travels Brian
Kodiak canvas tents are awesome i spent last winter in one with all the high winds and occasional rain storms the tent kept me warm and dry. Plus im over 6 feet tall and can stand up completely. Highly recommend the Kodiak canvas tents
Serious Nomads!! Luv it, motivating. Fly to a foreign country without a plan? Sure!!
Live in a tent for 3 months? That's a tough one for me. Shopping for a camper cargo trailer now....literally today, and their advice of Go For, it's never gonna be perfect but you life is today rings very true.
Not intending 9n going full-time Nomad, just 3-5 months to explore the south and pick a town to make home base. Great interview, thanks
Awesome video. Good interview. Amazing views
Loved their message! Inspiring!
I love the Himalyan prayer flags...Nameste
awesome....thanks Brian
"Buy the ticket." - great advice! As someone locked into a super heavy work grind I still buy one or more (3 this year) season ski passes as soon as they go on sale. I never know exactly how I'll user them but every day out on the mountain is the best day ever.
Very interesting! Thank you for sharing ☺️💕
Brian is a great interviewer..
🤗
Excellent interview, thanks,
They are true free spirits. I enjoyed this interview very much.
Awesome interview and tour! Their setup is very close to how I plan to be nomadic with an SUV/Tent/Clam shelter/Shade cloth. It's too bad Toyota doesn't still make those Toyota Dolphin's. My old 4Runner will have to do in the interim. Always appreciate the advice to go now and not wait, it's what I need to hear most.
Same...don't listen to the nay sayers.
Just go for it!
That's living!
The timid will not understand.
Wooow 💕
This is a great idea ❤️
Thank you 👍
Brilliant. I love the set up and attitudes. I agree, buy the ticket first.
Good advise guys, yes buy a ticket, then you are committed, then must plan & go.
What a cool couple!! Love the tent setup!!
What an amazing, beautiful couple. I just love their adventurous souls. Great interview Brian. Much love and many blessings
That was Really Nice ... thank you
💙🧡❤️💚💛 love their backyard!!!! So envious!!!!
Great interview, Brian!
They are enjoying life.
Thanks for all the product links, hopefully the tents will be available again soon, they look like a good quality setup, and I’m really interested in that kitchen one, we get frequent big winds that have destroyed two sun cast solid sided sheds, a car shelter, and four similar shade cover tents, so an affordable one I could get down alone before or during a storm would be awesome
Great interview Brian!
Awesome. Love the location. I would like to know more about where they stay. Is it a campground? I saw a lot of other vehicles/RVs, etc. Are you off the grid living for free? Can you do that in Baja? I need more information. I would absolutely love waking up to that view - take my paddleboard out every day....heavenly! 😍
It’s somewhere between boondocking and a campground. No structured sites, and there are very rough outhouse toilets. You do pay usually 200 pesos per night ($10 usd) (though some places are a bit cheaper or a bit more).
Thank you so much for your quick response. I am getting ready to hit the road and really appreciate your informational video.
Wow! Lots of great ideas! ❤
Love them, safe travels all-gods speed
Good tips and suggestions, thanks a lot! 🤗❤️👍🏾💯
Cool! I like how they’re doing it with tents.
Very cool.. Love their nomadic spirits!!!
This was dope, great info
Sounds amazing! So inspiring.
Great video !!!
Wow, I love how free going their lives truly are! they can just pick up and go
Vero interesting, beautiful place, so inviting.
Nice set up and lifestyle 👌
Hi, great video. I’d like to know/ learn more about how to run my CPAP machine while camping. Is there a way you can connect me to this couple to ask how they do it. Steve (66yrs)in Manitoba
Hi Steven! So Tom uses a CPAP machine with this setup! The solar panel in the video connects to an inverter/ battery with a wall plug, and Tom plugs his CPAP right into that inverter. It’s a Jackery 500 with the Jackery 100watt solar panel. They sell the two together as a package and it works great! After running the CPAP all night we still have 85% power left in the battery and the solar panel recharges that in just an hour or so.
@@brittanywittig Hello Brittany, thank you so much for taking the time to respond, much appreciated.
I would like to spend a month or two of our Canadian winters down in Baja, Likely in the Loreto or Mulege area. I have spent some time in La Paz and Ensenada but would like to camp along the sea of Cortez coast. Steve
Buy the ticket!
Figure it out as you go!
My new motto😊
I guess I'm one of the weirdos!
Lol
God help us! 😂
These people have really finessed what works for them!
Really nice people having the time of their lives, perfect!
Nice setup on the beach. 😀👍
Great setup.
A great video
Just got my passport so I can start driving into Mexico and Baja this winter!!!!! Once I'm done with with beet harvest job.
Would love to caravan with others!!!
Great job Brian
wow great view waking up on that amazing.
Nice set up😊
Awesome🎉
I love their chilled out relaxed attitude on life. We could all use some peace of mind and great adventures with beautiful landscape. Thanks.
What an awesome set-up they have. Lots of great ideas. Just looked up the Europe pilgrim walk, I will have to find a way to eat as natural as possible since I'm allergic to almost everything at restaurants.
Most Americans who travel with severe food allergies find their issues dissipate while in Europe and even in Mexico. I know of numerous people who move to other counties including Mexico just to escape the food issues in the U.S. Spain in particular, offers food that is about as natural as you will find. Simple, delicious and natural.
See my post above for more info about the Camino de Santiago and perhaps watch the movie: The Way.
Buen Camino.
This is a great video, so inspiring. Working on my cash savings now, can’t wsity
Wonderful interview and tour. I think his video is one of Brian's best. I may have missed it, but was the tent shelter permanent and was there a fee to use it. Thanks again.
Love the setup
I sooooo miss being in Baja!!!
It would be nice to have the financial flexibility to do their travels. I'm working on it 😀
"BUY THE TICKET" 💙
Sage Advice! ✌️💀🌱☕️
Is that Bahia Conception? Drove up Baja last year after traveling down the mainland on my own. At a campground near Enseada now, but soon headed back down to Mulege and Conception to camp long-term after having seen it. Will definitely check out your blog, wherever you are. Thanks!
Great living. I did that in north Ca ,Redding . On 40 acres it was a great life.im getting the itch to be a Nomad again .I need to rent my house out in Pensacola FL and go.
Namaste
Ty 😊😊😃
Headed that way
That looks like Mulege. Love camping in Baja lots of friendly spots.
Close...
Best advice, "buy the ticket, then figure out how to get it done"
I absolutely love their setup. That’s awesome. However I’m more into the crashing in a car….not a tent person. Kudos!
Sounds perfect to be with nature.
Brittany, I love your pants and want them, please tell where I can get them & what they are. 🦋🌺💕🌲
Yes! I want to live in a tent!
Life in the beach 5 months how to do well everything'
But enjoy there vi look
Thanks for great sharing dear friend
Godbless you all
Based on experiences, I feel that you could never leave your camp unattended.
Can you get internet at most of these RV sites you mention in your Blog? I work remotely so this would be a cool adventure
#Grateful Love ❤️ you guys thank you 😊
We're not there yet but we get out in our 15ft travel trailer as much as we can. I say the same thing to people worried about buying a RV just buy it there's never going to be a good time to get one. Think of all the adventures you'll have with a RV and I bet you'll never say think of all the adventures we'll have staying at home 🙂
WOW!!!!
Do they pay for that spot on the beach? I'm really loving this idea!
Yes! Beach camping in Baja ranges in price from about $5 to $10 per night.
@@brittanywittig Wittig? My surgeon is a Wittig. Awesome video. I can tell you're super intelligent by your speech. I was a nomad for years, then couldn't walk anymore. After surgery to fix my legs, I hopefully will be back on the road in my truck or at least running my herbal homestead
I guess 2 is better than 1
Would have been interesting to see more of that camping area
Curious where you are located in Baja in this video? Can you suggest links for campgrounds in the area?
They are living the dream lifestyle
Verry cool. I live in San Diego California 15 miles from the Mexico border, and I have a 24 ft Minnie Winnie and have yet to use it. Just can’t seem to pull the trigger. Maybe I’ll JUST DRIVE DOWN, never knew it could be so easy. You never asked *(unless I missed it) Is there a charge for camping on the beach? and the hut they used is there a fee for that. In USA, as everyone knows NOTHING IS FREE. Is there free camping on all beaches in Mexico or what’s the dealio in that regard?
A lot of those spots are $5-10 per night
Where’s the latrine? Lovely couple and really good interview.
Very rough outhouses a short walk inland from the beach.
The jackery solar is not waterproof is it?
No! Not waterproof.
What was name of shade tent can 1 person put it up? Thanks
Shade tent is Clam brand quickset shade and yes absolutely is a 1 person job. I’ve put it up by myself many times.
Hi Brian! I think Baja looks great. What is the cost for them to camp there in a tent and or if you brought a camper?
Thanks! Always appreciate and enjoy your videos.
There’s a previous post replying to this question.
Cost is $5.00~$10.00 a night.
@@MrKim-kv2vv thank you!
Buen camino.
God bless...
