Because she is from North India. Mostly they show her mother tongue Punjabi and then hindi. They used to watch Hindi movies and have grown. She might have known about South states but might have not known each state have their own movie industry. Also the channels in North India does not show Telugu or Tamil or Kannada songs. But people in South India know about other industry because here we have Sima awards Filmfare etc where South industry meet
