None, I'm in a constant state of rage, so it's pretty much how I experience every game, and I'm no quitter 😉
There was one once, but I can’t remember the title. 🤣 I don’t get enraged by a game for its difficultly to the point of quitting, unless it’s story, characters or ‘message’, are offensive to me.
I am not that kind of gamer but I do rage in Battle Royale games

Yo I had no choice but to destroy Dawn of Mana. I couldn't finish it due to its unbalanced bullcrap. And I really wanted to be that one guy who liked it. I do like legend of mana and I got trials of mana and I hoping to like that one

I am honestly surprised that Tulk didn’t get this video demonetised 😂 even more funny is that Tulk’s choice might be one I’ll play for the 12 RPG challenge which he’s a member of 🤣 the only one I’ve raged quit is Phantasy Star 2 on the Mega Drive as no matter how much grinding I did I always felt underpowered and got fed up of it!

I forgot to say, I actually was obsessed about RPGs not having a world map AND being able to use ships or boats to travel after playing tales of symphonia which was my first major JRPG experience. I’ll see you in therapy tomorrow.

Great video! I loved every single one of your guests. 😃 I know this will sound weird but, I’ve always been confused by the concept of ‘rage quitting’. 😅 For me, quitting means, you quit, you stop and don’t go back, otherwise it’s not actually quitting. 🤔 But it turns out, where video games are concerned, most of the time it’s temporary and players will still go back and try again until they succeed. 😋 I’ve been doing it and didn’t even know. 🤣 But no game enraged me so much that I never forgot it. 😅 One time I quit a game for good never to touch it again, but again, heck if I can remember the title. 😂 Thank you and see you on the next one. 👍

Everyone did a wonderful job and I laughed at Lost Oddessy as I had a similar experience.
My rage quit experience came from playing White Knight Chronicles 2 on the PS3. I had it as a most anticipated game that I bought day 1. I bought strategy guide, took time off work, and put do not disturb on my games room. I have 5 kids.
I'm having some challenges with controls but loving the game. Then out of nowhere comes game breaking bugs that make the game unplayable. I literally broke the controller. I have never ever finished the game. Memory of that time still haunts me.

Thanks John, interesting topic. I'm with you in the world map issue. I got fed up of Crisis Core, finished the story just fine but the missions have a huge difficulty spike at one point so I gave up. Still got over 20 hours of gameplay though.

Personally I've rage quitted a couple brutal bouts in FF7 Rebirth, but I'm so knee deep I end up coming back.

Last boss of Mato Anomalies and last battle of Trinity Trigger made me quit. I don't quit out of rage. It was just exhaustion because I already wasn't vibing with the games for a while before it happened.
That sorta thing can suck! At least you made it up to the last bosses!

This was fun to watch! My jrpg that made me rage quit is Arc of Alchemist. I played through a great deal of it (35 hours roughly),but the game has one of the worst framerates ever and it creates constant frustration,cheap and unnecessary deaths due to terrible camera control,a horrible and useless lock on system that makes battles with multiple enemies and boss fights a chore!!! The story is nothing to write home about either, it isn't horrible just mediocre. I am a huge fan of Idea Factory and Compile Heart games so when I got this I was excited to play it and hoped I had a hidden gem on my hands but no way,not this game. I know the games they make are not always the best and to be fair they are a smaller company and I love these types of niche jrpgs,but this is probably the worst I have played from them by far. And thus i just haven't revisited it since because it broke me,maybe i will try and finish it in the future if I ever get the nerve to torture myself again 😆

Nice collaboration. Atelier Firis made me rage quit from all Atelier games until Ryza put those games back in my good graces. Final Fantasy VIII made me rage quit as the final boss levels up with you (hence no point in grinding). Octopath Traveler... I would be more honest in saying that game bored me more than made me mad.

Cant belive Jaymz gave up on the psp, tragic!!!! I feel like I unintentionally missed the grind for octopath traveler, I didn't notice there was a fast travel for the first 40 or so hours so that's probably the reason. I can't really think.of any jrpgs on my end I've raged quit, like I've quit jrpgs before but it wasn't out of rage. Does bloodborne count? Love seeing collars like this!

Ah man, Octopath I 100% agree with. And if you get to the secret boss, it was INSANE. I normally push through tough secret bosses, but that's what made me rage quit.

I'm surprise the world map was the reason you rage quite and not, you know, Seymour or Yunalesca. Becuase those boss fights were FREAKIN dumb. For me, It's definitely Lord of Arcana on the PSP. It's more action RPG, Square's take on Monster Hunter, but holy smokes the game design was SO bad. I've heard it said and I'll repeat it. You should lose in games like this because you need to get good, NOT because the design is so crappy. Anyway, good stuff, homie, keep it up!
Rampage Tulk is a different beast hahaha! Nah honestly I couldn't even get that far into FFX all those years back, and I mean, I absolutely love FFX now after I played it on the Vita, but ma wee noggin back then just could nae hack the idea of nae world map hahaha

I love everything about the game : atmosphere, story, music and the battle system (oh yeaahh). But I got to a point of no return where I couldnt go back to grind and buy some items and the ennemies (or the boss. Cant remember) would just totally annihalate my party. So basicly, i'd have to start all over again because I was not smart enough to create a second save. Oh well, maybe one day. Probably.😊
Oh I hate moments like that. Luckily most modern games have save states but man, I know this all too well!
Baten Kaitos Origins Holo Holo Bird. Omggg that was hard as hell, even when you knew about its weakness to sleep. Ragequitted as a teen but eventually went back and beat it

Not a jrpg but both Shadow of the Colossus and The Last Guardian made me rage. I managed to beat both but my patients was thin for both those games. My controller got tossed and I literally stopped and had to walk away.

FF7 Integrade rage quit had to have been on hard mode. Because on normal the battle wasn’t too bad. But I could never get that 50,000 score in the training module smh 😤😤😤

Knights in the Nightmare made me rage quit. Whoever decided that what RPG players were missing was bullet-hell mechanics is a freaking monster.

Hi John, I must say, I never broke anything, but lately it would be Labyrinth of Galleria, after around 80 hours of playing that game, got to the end boss, and this one is such full of &*?$ and was not beatable even on easy mode, I think I need to grind for some hours to even have a chance to beat that final boss, have not been back yet...

Monster Hunter Rise is the closest I have come to rage quitting due to the overwhelming and confusing battle system (I was a noob at the time). And then two years later I put 260 hours into it 😅

@@chickenfillets Yup. I tried the demo and hated it. Came back a couple years later after hearing so much about MH and was looking for something to play after TotK. Decided to give it another go and absolutely fell in love with the series!

Fire Emblem Awakening for me. Complete a story battle and get a new under-levelled character with poor weapon skills. Grind some battles to get the character up to par. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Quit.
