I’m surprised no Durin or Eomer. I’m so glad with PC errata they fixed some of these cards like GLR

Can't argue with GLR tho! GLR and Grond form a meta oroboros: Grond is the best Shadow removal, and GLR is the best removal in general/Grond removal in specific, and Sauron has the best GLR removal....it's a tightly locked-down interaction that causes Elf and Besieger to always be the dominant forces in the meta.

Great video! Would love to see more of these

Definitely missing Glorfindel! 9-strength auto-start Elf that both bodies Nazgul and synergizes with the Elven Telepathy archetype.
Arwen, Queen of Elves and Men; Cirdan, the Shipwright; and Durin III are also notable omissions. Personally I would have put Sam and Aragorn in a FOTR block list; Aragorn in particular doesn't seem meta-defining (tho he is common) the way that Greenleaf and Sam definitely are in Movie.

      Surprised about glorfindel too

I would argue that Legolas, Greenleaf should be #1. Such a great classic card, but doesn't feel abused like GLR.

All the stuff you said about power creep for Galadriel from set 10 is applicable to Sam from set 1... IMO they're equally OP.

Surprised Eomer is not on the list. Solid choices though. Legolas would be first on my list just because it can fit in almost any decks without any requirement at all.

I'm surprised that Radagasts move limit lasts when he leaves the table? All other cards u can recall have the move limit tied to the sentence "for the rest of the turn"

Cool video. Don't know much about the game / strategies but what are your thoughts on Eowyn, Dernhelm vs Eowyn, Lady if lthilien? Would also enjoy seeing tier lists for companions/minions... Legolas, Aragorn, Frodo, Witch King etc.

Not the OP of course, but Durnhelm is at most a 10 strength companion (usually 6 and sometimes 8). Lady of Ithilien on the other hand can cause a complete board wipe in the right situation; imagine a 3 vitality exhausted minion; two LOI exerts = 4 wounds, which besides probably killing the one she's against is 3 wounds of spillover on other minions. She's brutal against shadows that drop 1 or 2 minions.
Killing multiple minions >>> +2 strength to *maybe* help win a skirmish.

@@christianmccarty8052, very interesting. I do see the potential with LOI there. Sounds great for swarms. How do you heal LOI?
