This is a Tim Foust original😊❤ one of my favorites! 😊
Hey baby, hey. Can't stop 🛑 this country crush thing. Believe it's the kind ,and gentle spirit w,/the sweetness. That is you. Well there it is darlin ' . Don't hold it against me. See you next visit.
These guys just do not miss
They are absolutely the best out there. I mean I like pentatonix and voice play. But home free. They have the perfect harmonies.
Since you loved Snow Globe, you will also love their cover of Winter Song which they did on the their same album of Warmest Christmas.
"This song was not what I expected" is the perfect description of Home Free! You "get" them...and should now self-identify as a Home Fry! This is your 11th HF reaction (not counting one of Adam's drum solos), so you are ready for "Mayday!" HF's performance ( czcams.com/video/znoV5gND9g0/video.html ) is a cover...and it's always best to know the original before reacting to covers. Cam's original is here: czcams.com/video/eRrCMEXPjWo/video.html Neither will be what you're expecting! 🙂
I'm not so sure. She didn't even mention Tim's range in this song.
@@margfried8796 I have a feeling that she won't be surprised by Mayday - she's seen O Holy Night and Do You Hear - he goes relatively high in both of those.
I've watched any number of HF reaction videos at this point (it's a way to pretend you're not just watching the original video over and over), and "I was not expecting that" is BY FAR the most common remark, even outpacing "wow, that guy sings real low", "wow, that guy sings real high" and "are we *sure* the beatboxer is human?" (Spoiler: no. We think his real name is Zorlak, but much remains to be cleared up.)
Red, I don't like to judge people by their accents, but is it possible you're from parts south? If so, have you checked out their latest tour itinerary? I pity the fool who has the chance to see them live and doesn't. I mean, no pressure.
No not ready yet she doesn’t know them well yet
@@uosuaq the amazing thig is taht the THING they are surprised by is different from song to song - chord progression, type/genre of song, tempo as opposed to the original, who takes lead, who they are collaborating with/featuring... if you get bored watching HF videos, I'd be worried.
Tim wrote this song. Great reaction!
Honey, you've been a Home Fry since your first listen --- now your on the verge of becoming a groupie... I love your reactions
Truth!
If you love this you might want to watch "Blue aint your color"
Hello! Since you love Home Free please check out Mayday, Helplessly Hoping, Feel My Love(they are being very silly in this), Singing to a woman and making them laugh is hard to find, but they pull it off!
This is probably my favorite of the Home Free original songs. It was written by Tim, and for sure could be described as do-wop. Tim loves him some do-wop which you'll discover if (when) you explore some of his solo work. As good as this is, I'm not convinced it's a Christmas song. It would sound just fine on anybody's play list any time of year.
Yes, Rob with beard and glasses. Just a big teddy bear.
❤❤
Tim loves doo wop
#HOMEFREE
Tim is a big fan of doo-wop, so it’s not surprising this song gave that vibe. In fact, last year he released an entire album of doo-wop covers from the 50s and early sixties as a personal project. It’s called Pieces of Me Volume 1 and several songs are available on his CZcams channel.
Now sweetie, try Austin's original Cold Hard Cash
Hey neighbor with the red hair yes that is Rob him and Austin sing an opera song together crazy talent later beautiful.❤️😎🇺🇸
Gonna check it out
Yes that is Rob, his voice is so silky
Just wait for the butts remix.❤
It's a love song and it's a Voice Play Original!
Thanks for the reaction! Another song you might want to check out is their cover of a Stevie Wonder song, "What Christmas Means to Me". Rob takes the lead in that one. His voice is so soulful.
So much!
Yes, Rob is our Tedddy bear and Tim is a romantic. Red, you are definitely a Home Fry. You are ready for Mayday.
I wasn't going to put out any Christmas decorations this year. Three months ago I was diagnosed with lung cancer. But as I was riding in the car with my son I was noticing the decorations and saw houses that had none and I wondered what their problem was. Then I realized I was doing the same thing. Those decorations brightened me up so the next day I got busy and my place now looks like Christmas and I hope people passing by may be brightened by my little display.
I LOVE this!!
If you just want to have a good laugh check out Home Free Guilty Pleasures
Okay!
Hey Red, Tim ,the bass singer wrote this song. He is deep into Doo wop, He has a full all vocal doo wop album , you should check it out.
When you said it sounded like a " Doo-wap" then go to Tim's channel where he has does a whole album of oldies. Start with " Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow / Stay" . Tim sings all the parts . His high voice is so insane great.
This song was written and produced by Tim Foust...Lead singer... He worked writting songs for a number of Artists early in His Carreer ..Before joining Home Free!
I think you now know why we love them so much
Red, you are a true southern belle. 🌹
Earlier today they released a new version of Colder Weather which is also beautiful. That's a cover, but Tim and Austin both write great love songs - try What's Left of My Heart, or Stargazer Lilies.
I smile really brightly 🌞 this is absolutely beyond beautifully adorably precious, like a Snow Globe
❤️🔥💎🌟🙏 I put on my play list 😊
This song will def make you smile
Tim the one in front of, the very low bass was into his 4th octave in this song. Tim has a great ability to write a very catchy hook in a song! This was no exception! Great song, delivery, and video. Great job by you as well! Your friend, low bass Kenneth! PS warmest winter, Austin’s original, you might need a tissue but it’s a great song!
Thank you! Sniff sniff lol
Chance did the bassline in this song... The "waw waw waw waw" sound was added in by their producer Darren Rust. Aka the 6th member of home free 😊
That is interesting!
Except when Tim took over the bass while Chance sang a verse.
Tim sure looked handsome in this one….. but he always does. Really enjoyed your reaction. I think you are already a Home Fry! ❤
Wow, thank you!
Mary did you know is a great Christmas song by Home Free
Please check out Johnny and Edgar Winter singing Please Come Home For Christmas. The studio version. It's a great song!!!!!
Yep that was Rob
I don’t know if you’ve done another Austin original…”WARMEST WINTER”…..he wrote it about his grandmother, who he had been very close to…it’s ..BEAUTIFUL 💗🙏💗❄️👼‼️….(Yes, it’s a gut grabber🙃💗‼️)….just listen to the words💗❣️💗
I'll check it out!
@@redheadedneighbor …Thank You…&, …MERRY CHRISTMAS 🎄❄️🎄
RHN we love how Home Free reaches their audience and surprizes them emotionally and you did not disappoint. 🥰 They are an amazing group and their presentations are superb. Glad you enjoy them. ❣
They are so good!
Tim wrote the song and it wasn’t intended as a Christmas song. I don’t know how they wound up recording it as one, but this Home Fry is sure happy they did! Even though I’ve been a fan for 10 years and a Home Free Patreon for 8, there are things I still learn about them. Oh, and I definitely think you’ve caught the Home Free bug! There’s no cure, thankfully! I see your face while you’re watching these videos and you’re definitely a fan! You were right about Rob. You remembered correctly, and he is a super friendly guy! They are all very kind and friendly! Rob and Adam live in Minnesota, Chance is in California, and Austin and Tim are in Tennessee (near Nashville). I really enjoy your reactions and it seems you have great taste in music. ☺️ Maybe check out their other Christmas originals “Warmest Winter”, “Cold Hard Cash”, or a classic cover like “Do You Hear what I Hear@.
looking forward :D misstyped looking :P
Lo❤e.
Everything about this one is adorable. The song, the background...the guys. LoL. I love when Tim, the bass, sings in a higher register. I'm glad he's singing the lead because he wrote it. Thanks for the Home Free reactions
This comment.. gold
You need to hear his Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow / Stay. He does the whole song with just him and it's overlayed the high and low notes. You will love it.
Not sure if you listened to it. Check out Cristmas In L.A. it's freaking fantastic!
Yes, I did a reaction to that one
I just love each of your reactions to Home Free. For so long they did mostly covers, but they are just as talented as song writers and composers as you see from this example. For some more original love songs I would suggest "Whats Left Of My Heart" or "Understand." Maybe after the Holidays settle down. They released a whole album of original music earlier this year entitled "So Long Dixie." Those two songs were part of that album. I know they will be right up your alley as they say and you will fall more in love with them than you already are. I believe you are definitely a Home Fry. Welcome to the family. Happy Holidays.
💕💕💕💕💕
I love how at the end of Tim's high note where Austin comes in, Austin has a close-up... and it's super cheesy, like an 80's sitcom intro. These guys are so funny. Does anyone else see it, or is it just me? No one seems to mention it. I know Austin totally did that on purpose, especially because it's a cheesy song. Beautiful, amazing, heartfelt... and cheesy. I loved every bit of it.
I thought that was kinda embarrassed to say it. I thought it was just me!!
I thought Austin played it cheesy so well. He could have been the picture for a cheesy album cover.
Tim is a big doo wop fan, which you can explore on his channel.
If you like Christmas music you have to listen to voctave singing where are you Christmas ❤
React to home free and the home fries will show up.
You are not wrong. Y’all are so nice.
Are you a Home Fry? In my eyes you have to meet three criteria: 1.) Like Home Free. 2.) Be able to name them. 3.) Know what they normally do... ie bass, baritone, lead, tenor, beat box. Once you can do that I'll accept you as a Home Fry. Keep in mind though, I'm just a standard home fry myself, I'm nothing special and have no naming rights.
Oppff. I don’t think I qualify as naming the parts of each is very difficult for me to hear. But I do really like them. Maybe there is a home fry jr category or home fry lite.
@@redheadedneighbor Well, here's your cheat-sheet: Adam - beat boxer, Tim - Bass, Adam 'Chance' - Baritone, Rob - Lead, Austin - Tenor. As you have experienced though they take turns leading. But, again, I'm not authorized to hand out titles. The one you need to ask is yourself. If you consider yourself a Home Fry, you're a Home Fry.
If you want truly powerful, and pure Christmas. Check out there cover of Mary did you know.
Love #HomeFree
I’m glad this song brought you closer to home Fries heart!! This is Tim’s original… All the guys are a great job!! Even their producer Darren Rust sang the 4 DooWop notes! I don’t know who’s in control of the airways on the radio but they sure don’t give a cappella groups very much time if any. Thank heavens for CZcams!!! Have a merry Christmas and get yourself a tree…the first Chrismon representing Eternal life! Add more Chrismons like stars , a lamb & the 3 wisemen as you get closer to Christmas Day!
❤❤❤❤❤
Not a Christmas song but give Misty Mountains by Peter Hollens and Tim Foust a listen. You most definitely won't regret it.
I don't think I've steered you wrong so far in my prior comments...so my personal favorites? "Dive Bar Saints"...(you'll see every honky tonk bar and it's patron that you've ever visited)...Story telling like Billy Joel and "Piano Man." Hmmm....."One Man Band".....life on the road as an entertainer, looking for love. "Some Girls Do"...featuring Adam Chance who gets too few spotlights....That'll keep ya busy for a while when ya throw in the Christmas list ya gotta get through!
Lol
Your just like a snow globe you shake us up and we can't get enough.🎅🎄❤ MERRY CHRISTMAS.
Same to you
“Mary did you know” is also another awesome one from HomeFree-would highly recommend
Tim and Austin are endless romantics, as Tim is showing us now with his beautiful creation
So much so!
Yes left to right, Austin Brown, Adam Chance, Tim Foust, Rob Lundquist and Adam Rupp.
"Cold Hard Cash" is another great original, written by Austin. "Full of Cheer", is another original Christmas song from Austin.
You said Y'all. I like that. Peace, Love!!
Red, here is some more recommedations. Here goes> Catch me if you can, Cross that Bridge, I can't outrun you, and Cover me up.
Thank you!
This is one of my favorite songs. Tim outdid himself.
You should watch home free singing Christmas in Dixie with Alabama
Oh you are so a Home fry! The only thing that may convince you is to go to one of their concerts. After that there is no looking back! 😊
So true!
I've seen Rob referred to as "The Teddy Bear"....So glad to be watching your journey into HF. !
I love how Tim and Chance trade off singing lead while the other takes the bass part.
I like to hear what captures your attention in the song. Thank you for sharing.
And they do it so seamlessly!
@balansboy Great comment! Early on, while Tim has the lead, is that Chance down there on the B1 to E2 little progression (sung beneath "...but like a snow globe...")? I didn't realize he could sing in the #1 octave. WOW!!
Hi my friend Sam Tomkins - hero - live at the Apollo it's a tribute to his father when took his own life 3 weeks ago please support Sam and his family in there time of loss many thanks love and respect from the UK 👍👍🌟😀😀 amazing channel 👍
Yes, I need to get through Christmas before I can do that one. Too close to home…
One of their best
Tim love doowap. He even has his own doowap album.
This is so cute. Love the doowop.
Five handsome guys with great voices ... ❤
Home Free have a lot of good originals. "Any Way the Wind Blows" or "Champaigne Tastes on a Beer Budget".
awww the red head is now ketchup on the home fries :)
True! Lol
End of the road should be next.
There are a lot more of great videos by Home Free. Please keep going down that rabbit hole.
I plan on it!
I like how seamlessly Tim and Chance had the bass line off to each other.
If you love their love songs, you should listen to Make you feel my love. It is sweet and cheesy.
I would love that
Red! I love it when you go all mushy! I do believe you can call yourself a Homefry.
Good, not too embarrassing then. Lol
I haven't even watched yet but I love this tune so I ho0e you like it too!
I've never heard this song. I love it.
Check out "Voctave" O, Come All Ye Faithful! It will blow your mind how BEAUTIFUL !!!
I love that song!
I absolutely love this video of your reaction to Home Free. What a fantastic reaction. Love your reactions. Keep up the great work. Can’t wait for more.
Thank you so much!!
Gee you too, No tree here not even my little ceramic one.
We won’t have the trouble of dismantling all the decor
your there already. welcome to the Home Frie club.
I’ve got my tickets to see them in April in Memphis. So excited!
That is great!!!
#HOMEFREE! ,,,,,Outstanding reaction!
That's one of the (many) reasons I like HF; you never know what to expect (except for the song to be good)! And I'd say you're definitely a Home Fry! Merry Christmas!
Totally!
#redheadedneighbor i love your reaction. What a lovely song by #HomeFree. If you want something more Christmassy check out Cold Hard CASH (for Christmas) by #HomeFree. 😆
Tim has a 5 octave Range which although unusual for a bloke, not as unusual for a Bass Singer. Geoff Castellucci of Voiceplay also has a 5 Octave Range as also does Avi Caplan. There are others too.
I didn’t realize that. Thank you. That is impressive
Great reaction, Red! Thanks for sharing! And I concur, you ARE a Home Fry lol. You mentioned the song has a doo-wop feel to you. It was co-written by Tim Foust and he is a HUGE doo-wop fan. In fact, his solo album is pretty much all doo-wop.
That is so cool!
Tim is a doo-op madman! 😂😂
💕
@@redheadedneighbor he has his own channel, and does independent productions apart from home free. You'd love it.
If you like love songs check out the stargazing lily's trilogy it's a Astin Brown original
You need to check out home free singing take me home country road fabulous
You should try their version of Go Tell It On the Mountain. They worked with another group to make it. I believe the other group is called Texas Hill.
This was an awesome reaction to this song!!! Love me some Tim originals! ❤
I must admit I was expecting it to be about all things Christmas related too. I particularly liked the bass part in this one.
Thank you for that tid bit. I like knowing that.
Thats Home Free for you...expect the unexpected. Oh, by the way, you were a Home Fry after listening to your first song!! Love all your reactions.
Thank you!
They did a brand new song today, Colder Weather. It is amazing
I need to hear it!
