    Looks cool. I didn't have luck with printing onto card, but I'll get the dividers.
    A couple of comments:
    Don't shuffle the encounters. When you play each chapter you only use a subset of encounters (ie, level 1 and 2) so you should keep them by level, and then only shuffle together the ones you need for current play. This is also important because of how discarding/shuffling works (I'm sure you've seen this already).
    I'm not sure I'd recommend setting up each character's decks first. That's because you can indeed mix-and-match cards (as you say). If you are playing Niamh you'll have to deconstruct what you've already got, and I believe there's a bit in the rules where you can even mix-and-match the other characters as well (Maggot with the blue deck...). As such, it seems best to keep everything separated and then make the character you want at the time.

      Also, I think this is the first time I ever got acknowledged on a video!

      Printing onto card?
      And YES! Thanks for the heads up about the encounters. I'll annotate that, and then mention it in my chapter 2 video.....
      And, in terms of the character decks -- I imagine that's highly person-specific. Like, I'm trying to imagine a situation where I will have played the game enough to actually go do some mixing and matching.... for me? Probably never. But for others, I think you're 100% right.

    • @TomTeachesGames
      @TomTeachesGames  Před 4 lety

      How is that even possible? Heck, how is that even possible for MY videos? You're an invaluable (that does mean "Highly" valuable instead of "not" valuable, right?!? 😂) part of the community and for this channel. Your'e the man!

    • @theunamiable
      @theunamiable Před 4 lety

      My partner went straight to playing Niamh so that did require a bit more weirdness. I'm also not yet sure if we're all going to die horribly at some point and start over. It seems pretty tricky.
      I think I was obliquely referenced in a Doctor Who audio commentary once...

      @@TomTeachesGames Yeah, "invaluable" means "so valuable you can't measure it" in the same way "priceless" does.
      Unless, of course, it's being used as subtle mockery, in which case, as with all sarcasm, the opposite meaning is intended (with the potential to argue that it's nothing more than the very literal - if you follow the etymology - truth)

    i followed your video and used and printed out your card system when tainted grail came out. I recently received my One true king pledge that includes an updated version of the game and am using this video again. Although kings of ruin is much easier to sort. so thanks again.

  • @gabrieltozattozago6510

    This video and files really helped me. Thanks!

    I know this is an old video now, but I've only recently got the game and someone shared your video with me on Facebook after I asked for the best way to save a game in progress.
    This is brilliant!! Thank you so much for taking the time to explain your storage system and sharing your templates. Absolute game changer for me!! Thank you so much!

      Hey Helen! Firs too all, I'm so sorry for the delay. I needed to step back from the channel for a little while... but I'm trying my best to look back and answer comments now... I wanted you to know I saw your comment and I'm really thankful for your nice words. I hope you were able to use the system and help you play the game! Thank you again for your comment, that was very nice of you. Have a great evening!

      @@TomTeachesGames very welcome. It's a great system that I've continued to use, and it makes the game far less intimidating to get back to the table after a break!

    So just got knights of Avalon pledge and grateful for this to help sort and get going as it is overwhelming! So thanks! Question. The pledge came with item promo cards, they are for sets of items. How do these come into play and where would you store them?

    Thanks so much for this, only suggestion i have sofar is before cutting separate dividers turn hobby knife around and slightly score them, makes for neater fold.

      Yeah! It's super pretty.... I need to decide how closely I want to look at it. I can't imagine there will be spoilers.... would there be game-important info? I have no clue.

    • @TomTeachesGames
      @TomTeachesGames  Před 3 lety

      I personally love the look of them. Especially for this game, where those large statue-monuments should look stone-like. They add a very cool look.
