- Ashwath Narayanan was a featured artiste on Day 1 of the FEA-curated and presented CUSP festival in early 2020 in Chennai.
His second piece of the evening was a Thyagaraja composition called Naadupai Balikeru Narulu in Ragam Madhyamavathi.

Nice rendition. And as usual a big thanks to the FEAC channel for providing such a high quality video production with zero ads/interruptions.
Very good rendition. Very good voice too. Violin is great too.
Dear FEA, Please try to zoom in the violinist's fingering when he plays the alapana. It would be helpful for students like us. Request from a rasika
Truly Mr A. Narayanan is an upcoming Artist the way he sings the beautiful raga in itsform.
What an elite rendition! Ashwath Anna's renditions are always A-Class. Ananthakrishnan Anna and Praveen Anna have played extremely well.
The sangathi played at 5:16 and some time later, is immensely beautiful and is a rare sangathi in Madhyamavathi. 🙏🏻

Best wishes .
Amazing. I have got to know about so many artists because of this platform.
DhageTita glad to hear you say this. We love it when music listeners are curious, adventurous and willing to explore. We do the same.
I remember the year 2018 when I heard so many new compositions.
Some of the artists I met virtually in 2018 via this channel, I had a chance to meet them live in Pune the next year.
Classical music outreach has a long way to go, and this channel is doing a great job to make younger generation aware of the Indian musical traditions.
Beautiful rendition. God bless. Thanks for transporting us to another world through this divine music.
Bright future ahead you Mr. A Narayanan.

Excellent rendition. God bless you dear.
Great artists among yungsters🙏🙏❤
Very Fantastic voice God bless your Feature
This raag strongly ressembles raag megh which belongs to the hindustani dialect, thought I don't know if it exists also in carnatic music. But there are some slight differences too, such as the oscillation between SA and (komal)DHA; RE and (komal)GA. And the singing style is also completely different. But the concept of GAMAK is often used in hindustani music
i think it resembles more madhmadhsarang
Fantastic music!.
Thanks 🙏

Naadu Pai Palukeru narulu... not balikeru...
Rajagopalan Natarajan you may be right, but there are a number of videos on CZcams featuring the same kriti that spell it more frequently in the way we have spelt it. So this way it’s easier to find if one does a search for it over the internet. But thanks for the heads up. We are much obliged. At the end of the day what matters is if you enjoyed the performance.
Birst edition should correct it 😉
The book Sri Thyagarajaswami kirthanaikal in Tamil ( 1973) has given the word as PALIKERU...page 138 song 189.
It is not a new Composition.M.S.Amma Rendered A Long Back Ago
Bright future ahead you Mr. A Narayanan
