This is "needle felting" he is twisting the hair between his fingers as he sticks it with the felt needle causing the hair to "lock". Hope this helps anyone wanting to do this style at home. 🙂

By doing them this way, they’re already locked. You cant wash or untwist these out. An alternative method to tighten roots without the waiting to lock process
