That little guy is gonna make someone happy one day!!
I have 2 x ADIRE 6.5.s really hand made some years ago. They are excellent . Really amaze people just how much impact they can create when correctly boxed and amped
I love sundown woofers.. just heavy duty and outstanding performance.👌🏼 anyone who listens to my system loves how deep my lows get and they all think I have a pair of 15’s or a few 12’s and all I have is a single 8 😂👍🏼
@@tevinalexander3008 sedan. Mazda Rx8. Tiny trunk, had to assemble the enclosure inside the trunk itself lol, tuned to about 25hz so it’s quite deceptive 👌🏼 designed it myself.
@@DanMarcelino which of the T/S parameters did you find the toughest to work with in building your custom enclosure? What Fq did you tune it to? Last question whats the roll off like? I have the 2-15's on a 1000 running 1ohm in a 8cuft box tuned to 38hz, the roll of is a bit sharp in the low 30's. If I can take that massive sub box out and just run an 8" and keep the same db level im all over it. Do you have any videos on your set up here on CZcams? I can't wait to build my 8" box, I might go with 2- 8" but that may be too much!
@@tangomantactical probably just Fs to be honest lol it's tuned to 27Hz and is surprisingly linear.. I notice the drop off around 15-17 Hz and I don't put anything higher than 100Hz through it, which is probably why it sounds like a bigger set up 👍🏼 there's enough excursion to move enough air and with the resonant frequency of the enclosure being so low, it just pounds 👌🏼
Sounds like my wife's top drawer friend
All that woofer needs for the wife is a carrot mounted in the middle
4:36 sounds like a slow reving 125cc motorcycle
@@zackburkhart8693 all shifting gears and stoping at the red light and stuff
Like the new room coming along nicely
That is a pretty good option for people who just need a little more bass and not take up space or upgrade electrical. Two of those in a shoe box sized box and 500 watts. Good deal for the non bassheads
He said .25 - .3 net for one of those. 1.2, might as well run em free air
Always awesome stuff..👍👍👍
I have 3 of these with a heavy duty 12" Dayton passive radiator on a Zapco 600. They sound awesome. I put the back floor panel down in the suv and they disappear.
Im used to 12's since the 80's in my boat, this would be a sweet replacement if possibly similar
Man if you haven't heard Mr.6.5's car or seen it I highly recommend it! I could not believe how much air it moved!
Really cuz I was looking to replace front speakers in my 99 trans am stock mosoon speakers put out some bass but they tend to blow out.
Donnel Moss that was his wifes car, if we talking about the one JP got in. I think theres a vid with 40 of them, been off here a while cant confirm that but seen a related suggestion I put off.
Wow !! I’m old man but nothing like deep sub base I’m impressed man this little guy is bad ass !! I’ll look up specs thanks for the video
Loving these subs man , they can go pretty much ANYWHERE lol
Love the boot, with the logo.
Really makes me want a couple
So cute! I want one for my Power Wheels. 👍🏻😎👍🏻
Bassotronics i used bass i love you (my personal favorite, 90 days without bass I’ll do more!!
SO SWEET!!!!
Awesome.. sounds like I need to do a new setup in my big truck... Do like 12 of thoses
Thinking about building a box for my older van and wondering if I should pop for a pair of these or just do a single since it's set up with a double winding? The real question is what size box? (cubic feet) Sealed or ported? Not looking for crazy SPL, just something nice and smooth. Got anything special in mind for mids or tweeters? Space limitations would be 1 ft tall, but could go 2-3 ft wide for each cabinet. (exterior) Since it's a classic vehicle I am also limited in the power dept to around 100 watts. Might be able to squeak 200 watts if I make some adjustments. Just no room for a larger alternator.
Great stuff
Can you test this subwoofer for a 2017 Chevy Colorado?
Tell me how it works, 1, 2, 3 or 4? Looking to add some BASS to the stock Bose system.
OooooWeeeee , my car doors is gonna be FLeXxIng NOW!!!!! 👍👍👍👍👍
SO what amp would you recommend for this little beast? I have a 99 Tacoma single cab, a pair of these would be great.
Very interesting little sub. Im curious about the specs. Like fs and flat frequency response? What enclosure is this sub designed for to help get the most out of it? I was hoping that this sub would work in a transmission line. If not I will have to search somewhere else for a beastly 6.5in sub. Not many on the market to choose from.
How does this compare to say a SD-3 8"? I might try in the future to make 2 of these fit in my miata as a little challenge and also to complement the sd-3 I got
Ok so I'm wanting to build a new system I'm thinking of running 2 x6.5"sw just looking for music only not spl I have a mazda van I used to install and was incredibly impressed with 2 8" x8s build I did a couple years back at sound of joy in Knoxville!! Question the 8s were loud in a El Camino will 2 of these be good for that kind of volume (van)? and what kind of amp should I run?? What kind of box should I put them in? And lastly do you suggest anything different ie 1 x 12" 2 x 8" etc...?
How come you have 4 wires connected? Dual coil? Where would you connect them to? Is that mean you have to bridge it at the amp? How to connect sub like that and component speakers to 4 channel amp. Would be awesome to get some answers. Thanks!
Got two 12” JVLs in the trunk with two of these under the dash that ought to sound awesome!
What's frequency response? Could see one in each front door.. do they like sealed or ported better for SQL? Need some bass up-front without subs playing(kids)
Hello nice to meet you, I currently have two sundown x12 I want to know which amplifier is the right one to move both subwoofer correctly, I thank you answer me
How many liters do u need?
For 1?
Because i have no space...
Close or with a Port ???
Plz help , sundown 6,5 inch 200 rms ..
I had 2 blown SA 12s, I made them into a "passive radiator" by removing the magnets and capping off the coil, I have two sundown 6.5 x series as the drivers. 1 6.5 driver 1 12 passive per box. Sounds pretty damn good.
Which is best for replace jbl 6.5 inch sbwoofer on my soundbar? (Jbl 6.5inch or sundown 6.5)
Which is best for deep punchy bass please reply..?
So could you use these as mids or something along with some 12s for lower bass?
Will 4 of those work in a truck box. 2018 sierra denali?
Will these fit in the doors of a 2011 Silverado extended cab or do I need a shallower speaker of Sundown than these?
Building a completion bike thinking of putting my sundown 10”s in the bags and these little guys in the front fairings, I wonder if they would fit and sound good?
I’d love to do 4 of these downward facing in a small ported box behind my bench seat in a 91 s10 reg cab. Definitely adding them to my wish list
Wonder if I have swap the subwoofers that my subpac comes with 2 of these small subwoofers
I’m thinking of doing 6 -6.5’s in my Chevy impala or should I do 4-8’s just need to know what you think and which 6.5’s or 8’s and what amp setups
Can I put these into a sealed box or do they really only work in ported? Was thinking about running 3 of them.
Hi, one speaker connected two out put amps? Please let me know thanks ASAP
Those babies are just beautiful
What is the smallest box that this can go into? I wanna try see if I can get a couple of these into some small 80s bookshelf speakers. Do these come in 8ohm versions?
so what are the playable frequencies on this? I know the X 6.5 can play quite high. The reason I'm asking is because I'm debating using these in my back doors as a midbass driver to fill in the frequencies that my sub arent picking up. 80-500hzfor example.
Any suggestions for a woofer like that? All I can seem to find are subwoofers
The excursion on that thing is crazy!
Just bought 4 of these bad boys 30minutes ago with a SFB 3000 to power em for my f150. Getting a custom box made rn . Any pointers would be extremely helpful
Happy to say i purchased the 6.5 sundown woofer
What’s the mount depth compared to a standard 8 inch sub in the same price range
I didn't hear, maybe missed it, whaaat size do these need to be in? Ported? Sealed?
Considering putting two lower powered 6.5” subs in my back two car doors because it’s mainly just me in the front. Would anyone recommend against this?
My uncle has two of these under his back seat in his 2020 Silverado and damn they hit hard harder then my 2 planet audio 12s
If you listen to rock/metal these are going to be a must have.
@@sagramsagram4632 Smaller diameter subs are faster, punchier, more responsive and have tighter sound than large subs. This is exactly what you want for fast paced music like rock where there is a series of rapid beats as opposed to a long drawn out base note. Thats not to say that rock music is all these subs are good for but these are exactly the sort of subs you'd aim for if accurate sound with respectable volume is what you desire.
That would be absolutely exquisite on my honda ruckus moped haha thank you
I have an 150-200 watts 5 transistor house Amp with 2 Columns (10" woofers + 3" tweeters)
Can I add a Subwoofer to it bcoz I am not getting my desired low frequency Bass from my woofers..??
Please, Help me out here!
NICE woofer, any more specs ? FS & ported / sealed tests ?
Just ordered 4 of them!!! Excited to see what they can do. 🤔😁
I have watched this video about 20 times now since I have placed my order from Down4Sound. I have now ordered an extra 2 so I can run 6.
I’m thinking of getting 2 off of some guy selling them. He wants 130 for both, they’re brand new in the box. I have limited space so I think they’ll do great in a single cab Tacoma. I’m currently running an 8” solobaric in a sealed box. Now to figure out the box.
What can you do for a 2017 Chevy Colorado, woofers with enclosure?
How would these perform as a door speaker replacement?
Do you think this would work as a replacement 6 inch bazooka tube?
I need to put a small box in my Mazda with a wheelchair, I have a 12 inch Kicker with a radiator that is a space hog, would 1 or maybe a pair of these in a small sealed or ported box work and still get close to 25HZ?
Now that is impressive
Love to hear these in a car for a small sub.
Nice, I bet two of those 6.5" would do great in my truck'
I have 4 MA xlhippos now ran off 2500 orion mono, how do these compare? I'm looking at new woofers after recent dame to 2 subs
I can't find the specs for this sub on the website. You mentioned using a .25-.3 cu ft ported box but that's about it.
sounds like me after some taco bell
Maaaan those Taco Bell refried beans will make you blow out a good pair of draws! And don't drink a vanilla milk shake afterwards....KABOOM!!!!!😲
2 Thumbs up!! Sundown Audio Your subs are second to none, now you spackle game is all jacked up lol
I just picked up a UTV, would love to see some options for it.
Yea but how long can it handle that much power
can you do it with music? also can you do a video on the prv and eminence 6.5/ sealed backs, pops and audiopipes pro 6.5
I wonder how they will sound in either a rear deck or in the rear doors.
Could these work in place of my 6.5 deck speakers with a crossover and tweeter?
I was thinking about these for my front speakers in my 99 trans am my current ones blew but they actually put out alot of bass they were 2 ohm 6.5
would 2 of these work in an isobaric config mounted in a cylinder?
hello do these have to be in enclosure to play like free air in a saddle bag thanks
that was very cool . gettin it !!!. i want them for door or deck speakers
How big box I must have for this woofer?
That’s what I’m looking for as far as enclosure size that’s cool to find out
How would this sub sound on a avalanche. I would need to mount it on the rear doors
What kind of amp is good for this little beast for 2 unit sub?
I wanna put these in my 2010 GMC Sierra doors will they fit an sound good?
What's the frequency response? I know the 6.5 x could play up to 500 hz what about these?
Think you could mount them in the rear doors of an 150 crew cab and make them sound good?
What would you recommend for a sealed enclosure?
This wiring is correct? Can you explain me? Why i see people wiring like a jumper this dual coil speakers?
Hey guys what would you recommend for a Nissan cube 3 I have 3 rows of seats so I don't have any space I wanna try some 8 inch subwoofer I want big bass out of little space
One of these would be perfect for my gen 3 viper.
