I'm an experienced mun-er and i must say that the community gets boring if you don't participate in thinking you would look "stupid" I mean what's the worse you can do... Support your opponent or put blame on yourself.... I mean guys don't be scared everybody is equally scared and nervous as you!

Its wrong. Present and Voting means that the delegate is bound to vote in the end. Present leaves you with the choice to either vote, or not vote.
Actually, if you have a break in committee, and quorum is reestablished, you can change whether you are present or present and voting.

Your model UN club is independent and you are not assigned countries. There are never “teams” in MUN’s. Only one person per country

Their greatest mistake at the very beginning was that when they had the roll call, nobody raised the placards..
It is not actually a mistake. If we can see all the delegates in the house it is not necessary to raise placards.
