I totally relate to the pain scale thing and sort of downscaling it because it constant or used to pushing past our limits or because one region of pain feels less bad in comparison to others even if it is debilitating.
yeah having built up a long term tolerance to your average daily pain skews the whole thing. do i tell them its a 10 for me, but would be a 15 to someone not used to being in pain? is this pain, worse than the last pain i was in hospital for? etc.
Terrible at voice mail messages. I actually prefer the phone over text because I can know that what I'm trying to convey is at least being physically heard. Email and text often feels like "this person is never going to respond." Also NTs are terrible at properly reading the whole long set of things one writes down.
NTs are trash at listening to what is being verbally said too but I find at least with writing they can’t gaslight me COZ I HAVE THE PHYSICAL EVIDENCE OF WHAT I SAID can you tell I’ve been burned too many times?? 😂😂
