Just wanted to chime in and say it sounds absolutely savage on 5-string bass. Combined with the Damnation Audio Dirtfixer you have a veritable wall of gnarly, savage, caveman worshipping at the monolith sort of sound.
Holy shit! This is a monster pedal that’s truly unique. I’ve seen two videos so far and can already see a multitude of ways to use it alone and combined with others. Great fuckin job

Is the ducking from compression, or is that the sound of the pedal?
It's part of the design and sound of the pedal. You get to control the amount of it with combination of Kill, Gain and Sens controls.
