With the remake of NieR Replicant shedding additional light on this series, this video is the first part of a deep dive on all the events within the Yokoverse. This is the fourth video on this topic and is meant for those looking for information beyond that contained in the games, such as the manga and books. The NieR series is place of a long running chronology of games starting in the Drakengard franchise, the brainchild of Yoko Taro, and there are plot lines running throughout that converge in NieR Replicant and Automata.

Also apologies for the extra crispy voice at some points. I began making the video at the tail end of one of my more serious bouts of illness but I'm feeling much better at the moment so that's why there is a noticeable (at least to me) difference in my voice during certain portions :/

Trust me, even as someone intimately familiar with the series it still gives me whiplash sometimes. Just think of it as a reverse isekai I guess

I must say that I am eternally grateful for the sound quality. Many other "lore CZcamsrs" have bad mics and it really ruins it for me with constant peaking.

Its fun to make a story complicated i guess. But why spread it into other media like novels or stage plays. Where the f would we find them to properly grasp the story?
It should be atleast in one medium
My theory? Yoko Taro seems to get bursts of inspiration and random ideas after the games are released and has to include it in a format that is less time consuming to produce than a prequel or sequel game would be
@@rexicon i remember going through hell when i found out that the original nier ps3 game wasnt actually complete and the epilogue is in a novel format. Spent days to find and read it. Its good they added it now in the remake but theres still alot of story in different formats
