One of my older brothers found some dead Aztecs between Three Lakes and Kanab, across Kanab Creek to the West about where the Dam is. So we knew the Aztecs were here at one time!

This is one of the most fascinating topics. I remember watching a documentary about it and remembering my grandmother was a Johnson from that area. I wondered if Johnson Canyon was named after her grandfather.
Take a good look at the giant glyhs, mostly heads and faces, carved into the cliff above the lake at 4:22. I believe they are Desert Archaic, roughly 4,000 years old. A mass grave in Johnson canyon carbon dated to 3,800 years ago. No skulls were found in it because this bunch collected them. Lots of giant glyphs of skulls and decapitated heads in Kane & Coconino counties. This may have been Aztlan, ancient home of the Aztec progenitors.

Terry you guys ran into the same thing i did at the seven caves . there is no way around it so far that i can find .. its some kind of electrical field ,but when you touch it you get the feeling of a curse , its old shaman powers ...i can't go into details here on the web . but the nature of the area reacts when you get close to it ...

Why? Let's say this is all true, why would a spirit try to keep people out of a place? What a boring afterlife. I really doubt anyone cares about gold after they're dead.
