      the schools decide how long the program runs, except he checks other schools/options and see which one does the course in a shorter time but most schools will do same program within the same time frame.

    Congrats! I just want to know more about your experience.. Since when do you work with an ophtalmologist and how did you manage the number of patients that you had « to do »

    • @uluchidinma6654
      @uluchidinma6654  Před 3 lety +1

      Thank you Camilla.
      As at the time of my interview, I was working with an Ophthalmologist in a private clinic where I worked as the Optometrist. So most times, patients were sent to me by the Ophthalmologist and would return to the Ophthalmologist after their examination by the Optometrist. If that’s the same case with you, also make it clear that you worked independently on your patient and not “Supervised”.
      Managing the number of patients I had was never an issue as patients were often attended to based on who came first.
      Please do let me know if your questions have been satisfactorily answered .

    • @camillasoudant4768
      @camillasoudant4768 Před 3 lety

      @@uluchidinma6654 Thank you very much for your kind reply 🙂 but what I wanted to say was, for the patients, how did you prove that you had done the number that they ask for, do you really need to have proof that you have done 200 patients for example for a specific field?

    • @uluchidinma6654
      @uluchidinma6654  Před 3 lety +4

      @@camillasoudant4768 you really do not need any proof except you put an outrageous number of patients maybe like 20,000 and have practiced for like 1 year or 2. I wasn’t eventually asked to prove the number of patients I put down, hopefully because it didn’t seem out of place for my years of practice; but just incase you’re asked, I would suggest to do a break down of the number of patients you wrote down before your interview, just so you can know what to say if asked.
      200 patients is not too much to be seen in your daily practice, because that can even be covered in a month if you see an average of 10-15 patients a day; so it may not be viewed as something extra ordinary to interrogate more on.
      If your number of patients is up to 5,000 and above, then you may want to talk about seeing some of them during outreaches/volunteer jobs/mobile clinics, that you attend either once a week or once in two weeks and seeing an average of 100-150 patients a day of course with some assistance from ophthalmic nurses while you consulting.
      Clear or not??
