- World Trade Center Survivor Susan W., and Recovery Worker Frank G. share their personal stories of September 11th in their 9/11 Tribute Museum presentation of We Were There on stage at the National September 11th Memorial Museum.
Susan worked on the 92nd floor of the South Tower at Aon Insurance Risk Services. As someone who had seen the North Tower be hit with her own eyes, Susan was determined to make it out of the South Tower safely. Her faith in God and her strength is what got her home safely that night.
Frank was teaching at his high school the morning of the attacks before he drove down to the trade center in a caravan filled with volunteers and equipment. His experience as an ironworker and being in the national guard led to him being one of the many that worked on cleaning up the pile of steel and debris left from the attacks.
WOW. This woman has one AMAZING story to tell. This was powerful.

Thank u so much for this. My bday is 9/10,& in 2001, I had just turned 21 the day before,& woke up on 9/11 with a terrible hangover. I thought my roommates were watching a disaster movie on tv, but little did I know, my life & millions more would change drastically after that fall day.
I turned 30 on 9/13/2001. We won’t forget our milestone 21 and 30 birthdays.
first time ive ever come across a survivor who actually saw the plane coming towards them while being in the complex at the time.
Stanley Prainmath also saw the plane coming.

He went down there to help and almost got killed in the process, geez. We appreciate and respect the work you did in trying to help and recover survivors after the towers fell. Susan too, respect. Such a sad day in American history.

I appreciate these stories so much. I hope to visit the 9/11 memorial someday. It will be unforgettable, I’m sure. I was working in the San Francisco Bay Area that day, and many of my coworkers and family went home, for fear of an attack on the West coast, specifically San Francisco, or in the Silicon Valley to the South. It was a heartbreaking day, and it feels much like it could’ve happened yesterday. 🙏🏻✝️❤️🇺🇸
He seems like a great guy. His resiliency & positivity is so encouraging. His ability to tell the events of his experience while seeming to put those listening at ease is heartwarming. I feel like those who go thru such traumatic events and then are willing & able to tell their stories are brave beyond belief.. I commend them all. Anyway..Frank.. I'd like to know more people like him.

The empire state building was hit by a much smaller plane. Secondly, the world trade centers were designed to take the impact of a Boeing 707 on approach to one of the local airports. That's means they would be low on fuel. They were not designed to take the impact of a Boeing 767 flying over 400 mph and full of fuel. Upon impact, both buildings swayed 6-8 feet, severely damaging the structure of the towers. The engineer that designed the towers knew right away the towers were doomed.
TOTAL CRAP .... when the "plane" footage is super slowed down, the South tower completely swallows the craft from nose to tail, all the way inside & "closes itself up" ...all this happens before any explosion whatsoever.
Believe the LIE if u so desire... it's still a LIE..

I love how some of the folks in the comments try to undermine the people who were actually there helping. Especially the ones who weren’t even born yet who think they’re top shit cuz they spent hours on end watching videos. Let the man tell the damn story, take what he’s saying and learn from it. Just because your calculations doesn’t add up to your perspective doesn’t mean you have the least bit of right to come into the comment section and debunk crap.

Every story about first reponders going in the trade center makes me angrier. I know it was a horrible situation, and i have so much sympathy/empathy for them all but there was just so much needless death. Ill never understand why both buildings weren't evacuated immediately. If for no other reason than the fact that there was a plane full of dead Americans..and then 2 planes stuck in their workplace. How could they just say go back to work, the building is secure??? Who could just go on with their work day like that even if there was zero chance of danger???
Genuine question and I mean no disrespect. But how did those in the south tower actually see the aircraft penetrating tower one? The airplane hit the opposite side to tower 2. Thought they only saw the back of the explosion or have I misunderstood?

Sooo wait. She says she saw the fuselage still intact inside the opposite tower. I’ve always heard it was pulverized by the impact with the tower’s steel beams. Her story suggests that the passengers and crew could have been trying to evacuate the plane, before it exploded. I hope that isn’t true. That would be even more horrific to know they weren’t killed instantly. 😥
When you see something traumatic it feels like it is in slow motion. I fully believe she did see this, but just saying in real time it was probably much faster. Like how it looked to us when we saw the plane crash into the towers on TV. The time between the plane going in the building and it exploding is probably less than milliseconds. If anyone survived the actual crash, which given how fast the plane was going it was is really impossible, the explosion would have killed them before they had time to know what was happening. The planes crashed into the towers around 500 mph. No one would be alive after just it crashing into the building. Hope this helps ease this thought. I do get what you mean though.

Could it be the trauma of seeing flight11 caused her brain to literally stop her memory at the point of the fuselage impacting the North Tower. As in it blanked out the entry of the entire fuselage into the side of the bldg?
@@johannesbols57 Yes, absolutely agree.Trauma and adrenaline can absolutely make it so your brain blocks out things. It is a protection/survival mechanism. It is often called disassociation. It is really common in PTSD and trauma conditions. It can be remembered later though with the proper time, safe place, and therapy sometimes.

She is the host of this series and introduces everyone. There are dozens of these lectures in the series. She's actually very good at her job if you get a chance to listen to a few.
Which god is one supposed to "Pray" to after having survived a tragedy? The one who created it, or the one who didn't stop it? Praying to a god to thank it for sparing your life in a tragedy, is no different than sending a serial killer a thank you letter for breaking in and killing your neighbors rather than you... 😒😞

If you still think that you can choose your beliefs, choose to believe that you can fly get up on your roof and take that leap of Faith, as done for "god" and demonstrate your claims..? Can you demonstrate your god's existence? does he/it manifest in Any way, shape, form, within Reality, because if so then this should be testable..? If Yes, please demonstrate, if Not, then your god must be Space-less, Timeless, Formless, immaterial, correct? In which case, your god exists in No location, No timer, with No form, and has No detectable qualities, does this sound accurate? If so, I/atheists would probably Agree... So then now the question becomes, "Why would you then Believe in such thing? @@Atonement- The fire department predicted around noon that day that building 7 was absolutely going to collapse due in part to the damage is sustained from the collapse of 220 stories of a steel structure. It burned for 7 hours. Around 5pm that day the fire department knew it was minutes away from collapsing due to the noises the building was making. BBC took that at meaning it already collapsed. "Pull it" simply means pull all the firefighters out because it's too dangerous. Every video CLEARLY shows the penthouse of building 7 collapse before the building did. Just stop with the conspiracy bullshit. It's insulting and a fucking joke
