If SC didn't like the contract, and had no interest to negotiate, all he had to do was say 'no thank you, not my cup of tea' and just left it there. But instead he wanted to dramatize the situation.

Every company you want to sign with will have a contract. If SC didn't like the contract, walk away. Drumming up controversy where there is none is a dirtbag thing to do. Negotiating contracts are a thing. Making another company look like asholes just because you didn't get your way is scummy. Instead of coming out of this looking the same, he now has a scumbag taint to his name that won't wash off

I'm fine with Steven's reasons for not doing the deal with Daily Wire, if it doesn't line up with your own vision and morals then of course you don't do it! But it's clear that Steven premeditated dragging Daily Wire through the mud. That's where he appears childish and looking for attention. He could've just declined the contract and moved on.
Literally this all could have been avoided if Jeremy wasn't an emotional responder to his video, he dragged his own company into it Steven didnt drag them. Speculation would have died down and everyone would have moved on. Everyone knows it was a shitty deal and to pretend otherwise is laughable. Plenty of good lawyers out there gave their 2 cents free of charge on what they thought almost none of them said it was something you would give a "friend of a decade"
Let us not forget that Daily Wire outed itself. Crowder didn't have to drag Daily Wire through the mud. Jeremy Boering got down in the mud and yelled, "drag me, please!"

Yeah, I agree 100%. He is clearly upset about the offer and how much he would lose if banned off of any major platforms. Anyone can sit there and say they wouldn’t accept more money. However once you see that check or know you’re getting paid things can change. He should have just done these press tours and spoke about his choice of values over money, and work the future look like for him, and his company. My problem is the way SC tried to make the DW look like some underhanded crooks. Instead, of saying we have a different vision or business model, he tried to drag them thru the mud for having a different way than him. He totally lost points on my eyes for how he handled this.
They're disgusting for trying to make a slave out of him, trying to own his likeness, and everything he's ever worked to create. Greedy pieces of scat deserve the lost viewers and deserve to lose many more.

I will not support the daily wire after this. This is completely unacceptable; the contract was predatory and greedy. He didn't even out them. He called out all conservative brands that have these practices.

It’s a contract that looks to be filled with so much poison, and they get butthurt when the person negotiating says “there’s nothing to redeem here I’m not wasting my lawyers time writing a new contract”
Nah, they presented a deal that Steven wasn't comfortable with. Simple as that. He's clearly able to do this on his own. He not only looking out for himself and his crew, but also creating a better platform for those who will have shows in the future. Fight like hell, Crowder!

I don't like the way Steven handled it either, but I don't think it was due to greed or self-promotion. I believe he was trying to encourage/pressure Daily Wire and similar platforms into protecting people like him and not bowing to "cancel pressure" from Big Tech. Steven feels that DW should be telling young conservative talent that they will STILL get paid EVEN if Twitter and Facebook "cancel" them.

I agree with you. I think Steven is being unrealistic expecting a company like Daily Wire to keep paying people who have been crippled by social media bans. He has no right to be angry with a company for not being a crusader for his cause.
But I see his point. If nobody stands up to these tech platforms, then they tacitly become subservient to their censorship.
I find Crowder to be so disingenuous in this topic that i have lost all respect I have had for him. He talks about bringing in talent? He has raised literally NO ONE. He doesn't' support content creators. He is not producing a media platform. He is nothing more than a small time youtube content creator and a parttime comedian. His reach is long ONLY because he exists on platforms other businesses created, like youtube. DW is trying to build a legit media and platform competitor. Name me one talent that Crowder has signed, never mind him lifting any content creators up to be big names.
When he is talking about the terms of the offer, he is still misrepresenting them. The content penalties would ONLY apply to platforms OUTSIDE the DW. Specials and documentaries wouldn't be on CZcams so they would not be subject to those, they would be behind the paywall. AND Crowder moderates his own content anyway and has his own 'piss off youtube' behind his own paywall so he is doing the same thing he is calling DW out on. So dishonest.
When he belittles the effort to homogenize the conservative side; that is part of the cultural problem. The left IS homogenized and moving with almost one mind, conservatives are fractured in these independent cells having small time disagreements while we lose the culture.
On the topic of reaching younger versus older people; the framing is off; older people watch TV; younger people watch youtube. That is all that is happening there. It has nothing to do with the difference in the actual content it is 100% a result of where it is.
On the claim of there being a lot of 'suitors' making him offers. I don't buy it. Crowder is a loose cannon liability 1 second from being kicked off every platform availability. I bet that is why the re-negotiation with the Blaze fell through. I am 99% sure the DW was the ONLY one that even made him an offer and when it was lower and worst terms then he was expecting he throw together this scheme to syphon off numbers from DW to spite them and to leech of their 'paywall' success. He needed to re-grow his email list because the original mug club he did not keep (Blaze got that). was it a "nonstarter" when he made that deal with the blaze?
speaking of "nonstarters", fine if the term offer was so bad that they couldn't even realistically consider it and it was "antithetical" to who they are; that DOES NOT explain or justify them making it public and sparking this feud out in the open (or secretly recording his friend under the guise of having a call about family and Christmas and then twisting it to talk about the term offer). Even if the terms were bad, there is no justification for what Crowder is doing; clearly for his own gain. and again they talk about 'the next steven crowder"? They have not found or fostered and SINGLE talent. DW has done it for near half a dozen now. Matt Walsh, Michael Knowles, and Brett cooper were raised out of near obscurity and Candace and Klavan both got a significant boost in exposure. Can anyone name a single person other then crowder that Crowder has fostered?

I was fully on Crowders side until he went on Timcast and I wasn't really convinced by his reasoning for why he acted how he did in the beef. Also, listening to Jordan Petersons daughter talk about their experience dealing with DW made me think Crowder probably definitely played this whole thing wrong. Still though, I hope Crowder and crew are successful in whatever they do because psycho liberals have taken over everything and us conservatives need to start building up the competition.

I was a big fan of Steven, donated to him regularly. I'm done with him after what he tried to do to DW. No matter what side you’re on(or if you think the whole thing is pointless), SC did some seemingly unprofessional things. This is going to hurt him in the long run because every time SC reaches out to a future business associate, they are going to think of this silly “feud” and not take him seriously. Also, all of his contracts must live up to the standard he holds for the DW. Only time will tell how this works out for him.
I think the opposite. I think future business associates of his will look to what he did regarding DW and see that he is all business when it comes to business. I would love nothing more than to be a part of something with someone who takes so seriously what he does for not only himself but others as well.
And of course all of his contracts should live up to what he expected from DW. If you claim to be about something, be all about it despite who it offends and despite who you may lose in the long haul.

His content has been hilarious and amazing though. What comedian does live debates on college campuses on triggering issues (in today's modern age) with anyone who wants to sit down? Plus he confronts people who call for violence and also does do some of the most hilarious comedic self-promoting ads I've seen. I'm looking forward to his next CHANGE MY MIND episode. People love to see that live non-formal open-air debate stuff.

I watched this whole thing and watched every interview I believe crowder over anyone at the daily wire!And I think it's just a difference in ideology Daily Wire is looking to build a Brand, not just push an ideology.
Things look very different once the basic facts are laid out objectively. Crowder is playing on emotions. When emotions are involved facts take a back seat.

I disagree, he isn't crying about it at all. They explained what really happened, the vision they have, and why they decided to move on. This video had nothing with Crowder whining about the DW, that doesn't exist in this video.

Didn't know this dude before the controversy. He comes off as super talented but I don't get the immediate impression that he can build a business as big as daily wire (let alone Fox). I guess time will tell.
He's always worked for companies that have similar styles as the DW. He's always had top cover without risk. He comes off as extremely idealistic. We will see if he can succeed by himself in the real world.
Steven has an amazing show. I've been a mug club member for several years. He surrounds his self with good people, and he always sticks to his guns. He does not bow to anyone or any platform. He's the G.O.A.T for sure.

I’m 20 year old ultra MAGA Republican from California , I watch Fox News more than ever, due to the terrible corruption that has happened under the biden administration , but I try to limit my self to how much I watch , because It really upsets me what happing in America, I love my country .
but back to the point I really got into politics in 2016 when I was in high school after the targeting on trump, then when I was 18 my first president I ever voted for was trump , I wear it like a badge of honor .
It’s sucks teens and young adults can’t just enjoy life without politics . but I think the young adults currently need to start getting educated on politics, because when they just vote to vote , that’s how we end up with someone like Biden , and that’s scary.
Just be cautious with Fox. They are good for mainstream media but I've seen too many questionable things for me to give them much of my time.

Dailywire sold 300k chocolate bars in 32 days at 7 dollars a pop. You could do all the things you're talking about all you had to do was read a couple of ads and show up for a quarterly show for 4 years make your 20 million or whatever it was and then do it on your own. Now you've lost a lot of respect a lot of viewers and are going on some what successful and other successful shows periodically to stay relevant after March 20th it'll die down and fade into obscurity

Listening to this podcast, has me wondering where is Steven Crowder‘s bench? Where is a young talent he’s found developed and molded into a successful entity? See it’s easy to talk about building the future and preserving the movement and doing it for young talent coming up. Where is his “coaching tree“? Where is his Brett Cooper? Where is his Matt Walsh? Where is going after Gina Carano and making a movie with her? Who is Jordan Peterson currently working with? Crowders been around just as long, if not longer than the DW, the difference is Crowder is a solo act. He’s always been a solo act, and will always be a solo act. And that’s fine. Being a solo act and managing a group of people, employees, talent and infrastructure that’s a whole different animal.
Crowder was the first conservative I followed. I'm embarrassed for him for what he did. He's a miserable person.
