    I love your reading journal so much!! I finished reading Good Omens by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman and it's awesome, I can really recommend it:) The basic plot is that an angel and a demon are sent from heaven/hell to do stuff on earth and when they find out that the world is ending they've started loving the place and the humans, and therefore do their best to stop it. Now I'm onto Six Of Crows :DD

    The Polish book you've ripped is one of my absolutely favorites, it comes from 19th century. It's called "Nad Niemnem" ("Over the Niemen river" and it tells a story of a young woman, Justynka, who chooses to marry a not wealthy, but decent young man instead of marrying a rich, morphine addicted guy, who is a nephew of a duchess (and her family can't believe she doesn't value money that much).

    ....Goddamn it, now I am once again debating the logistics of a reading journal as an EXTREMELY artistically challenged and it would never turn out half so pretty as yours! Also, I would probably be intrigued by Cartographies- it implies maps and fantasy in one fun setting! 📚

    • @mochibujo
      @mochibujo  Před 2 lety +1

      A reading journal definitely doesn’t have to be artistic! You could totally just print out the book covers and/or some pictures, or just write your thoughts on the books with no decor. It’s the content that’s the most important, after all!☺️ Or, if you want a challenge, you could find a picture or video of a reading journal you like and try to recreate it, or try to incorporate a few of the same ideas or components. It definitely doesn’t have to be as elaborate as mine!! I just have an excess of stationery and love collaging hahaha😂

    Ohh I enjoyed more the hundred thousand kingdoms trilogy, I just love this new universes of different racial depicted gods mythology, I thought is so refreshing thinking about a pantheon of gods that aren’t all white and blond, nothing against it, love mythologies from all over the globe, thats why this felt so new and bold. Love the complicated of the character and their motivations, Changing the main character every book but with appearance of previous characters from the previous ones kept me interested, love how there isn’t a complete bad or good character and the approach of immortality and even childhood, the fight of good against evil with so different symbolic aesthetic depicted and nuances about what is right or wrong.
    And again, the universe, settings, clothes styles where just beautiful too imagen 😍😍😍.

      I really loved the broken earth as well, but was a bit harder for me to connect, at the beginning because I believe the geology vocabulary and the second book lagged a bit tending to be boring in some parts considering that in events really didn’t happen as much as in the others.
      But again the character design is genius, connected a lot with es aún since I’m also a mom and I’m not perfect.
      And my sister is geologist so despite that hard time getting some descriptions (English is not my native language and I read it in English) , was fascinating commenting it with her and understanding it from her expertise, she was so happy of having read a fantasy novel that involve so much of their career field.
      I made a broken earth simple spread about a year ago in my bujo, I enjoyed making it; I wish I could make it for every single book that I read, will try it as a reading journal, thanks your inspiration 🙂.
