So, when my dad died in 2010- my sister and I had to drive through Texas all the way back to Northern California. We drove through towns that looked like set's for THE LAST OF US/ THE WALKING DEAD!!! STAY THE F*CK OUT OF WEST TEXAS!!!

@MidnightBroadcast yeah, that's part of it- the other parts I'm talking about is the Derelict buildings where obvious accidents had happened ( by the rusty ass old car still being half in the main display window) and everyone's still going on about there business like normal- not even worrying or paying attention to the obvious odd/disturbing things around them....
If you ever get into some back country where ppl are staring and not waiving back, you need to leave. You might not know why you're not welcome there, but they do, and that's enough.

Honestly there pretty normal towns that in Texas, lots of industry/ factory based towns that just die out for one reason or another.
It’s strange to remember that someone lived their entire life there and all that is left is dilapidated buildings without anyone to care for them.
