I refuse to put my head in the sand or watch the other way. You guys post your murdering online, be prepared to take the criticism as well. Suppose a group of snipers start killing your dogs that way. How would you feel? Black labrador going down. Nice shot! Beautiful pointer getting hit in the head. Wow, that ammunition is great! Your three terriers laying dead on the grass. Some jerk commenting great timing. How would it feel? You coward, we do not look away, you do horrible things, it is not a matter of liking, it is a matter if disgust and surprise how on earth this cruelty is allowed. It is anger. What is the next step? Blowing up atomic bombs, because there is life out there you do not like? Stop eating meat, then you do not need cattle, then you do not mind the wolves coming back, then you do not need to kill everything small. The wolves will eat them. How simple do you want it? But no, kill kill kill is too addictive. Bullet junks! We do not like you! Move to another planet, please. Get out of our sight! That's a better solution. Go to Mars and shoot life to extinction there. Yes, human life. You don't care a damn, would you? It's just a pest.

Reminds me of my youth - shooting groundhogs on farms which were overgrown with them. Four of us using various calibres would take about 450 hogs in total for the day. The hogs would migrate from other farms to take up vacant homes over time and we never could keep up with population. I used a Ruger M77 with a 26" heavy barrel in .220 Swift with a 6 x 18 Redfield scope with basic two line range finder. A 52 grain soft point hand loaded to 4,050 fps would smoke any hog out to 500 yards with my longest at 525. A nice bipod, a small cooler, a blanket and located on a hilltop for FOV. We would crawl over a ridge to view the hill on the other side of the valley - about 100 yards away, and start counting hogs nestled in their holes. From one side of the valley to the other looking at 35 hogs. Most ranged from 25 to 35 lbs in weight - not been hunted in many years.

Two towns, one was 3 miles long & 7 miles wide near Lantry, SD. The second town was 21 miles wide and 7 miles long near Faith, SD. @cavedweller1959  Před 5 lety +1

Never shot the T3 varmint but I know guys that have them, they love them, they shoot great. As for my thoughts, what kind of shooting are you planning for? If it's varmint hunting from a bench, I think the Tikka weighs a bit more, helps with the recoil. If it's a walking varminter, the 527 carry's nice. As for accuracy, I think they will both be good.

No, you even show you don't even understand the consequence of the creation theory. God gave life, so you have the courage to take hundreds of God given creatures, just because you leave the wolves and coyotes no chance to do that killing for you. You love killing, you hate life. Do you hate love? What has happened to you? Were you born so full of hate? When did you start walking the wrong way? Don't you really understand the creation concept? Are only people worth living? Why do I need that accident? I love life more than you! You love killing animals, I love living animals. Find a better way to get your wildlife back in balance, please. All those firearms and bullets, get them obsolete. But no, you just love to keep shooting. Don't you see, how sad that is? You could have wild bisons and wolves. Why not? They would be killed again?!

Zach Zach except it’s very rare for any animal to break their leg in a prairie dog hole, they do not deplete forage significantly enough to affect cattle production, they even consume noxious weeds to cattle like prickly pear cactus and mesquite.
