Farheen Sara Hello so your laptop have an Vga and the projector have an Hdmi input then you should have the Vga to Hdmi converter the first adapter in the video. :)
For connecting my Laptop to my T.V I just use VGA cable of a good brand and it works fine. Quality wise HDMI is better than VGA but the quality of VGA is quite acceptable.

If I have a Laptop with VGA port, and if my TV has a VGA port as well, would
this work, considering the TV works off digital signals, and I would be feeding
the TV an analogue signal, from my VGA port on my Laptop to my TV.

Hi just wanna ask, what if the converter dont have the usb cable? Would it still function properly?
It may function at very short distances, but for most all applications you need the USB for Power.
YOu absolutely need the usb port or it will not work. The device is a analog to digital converter (essentially a computer) and it will not function without power.

No it works the other way round. This video shows if you have a PC with VGA port and you want to connect it to HDMI monitor, you can get this converter. The one you're looking for is shown at the very end of the clip.

Well i think this vid shows that from hdmi to vga? Meaning u connect the hdmi cable from the ps4 to this item and then you connect this item to ur vGA monitor? And gaboom u can play ps4 to ur vga monitor by using this item, Am i right? Correct me if im wrong. Thanks
