I worked for Frank at Capricorn while in Macon and with Ahmet over the many years at Muscle Shoals. They were instrumental in many people's careers and were great at rapport with the acts. Ahmet was quite the conversationalist on many topics, but Atlantic was his great passion. Interesting man with a quick mind and sharp focus.

The reason there is Rock n Roll, Jazz & Rap is Ahmet. He could navigate between all the different races, cultures & religions. He was the glue, he was the trusted.

Must have been a legend. His death got Led Zeppelin to reunite for one show.
Kid Rock dedicated Rock and Roll Jesus to Ahmet.

@@dennisahmet4902 Because he was the son of the ambassador of Turkey to the United States who did all he could to deny the Armenian genocide, including blocking production by MGM of a proposed movie based on the book Forty Days of Musa Dagh. I'm sorry, but the extermination of 1,500,000 people, the dispossesion of their property and cultural erasure of their presence has consequences. It is not going to go away.
