there are some awesome Cosplay's in there. the 2 fairies at the start were awesome.
yeeessss omg i got to talk to her about how they sculpted and cast the peices and adhered them, for somethign so simple it was really well done and alot of work and she and her boyfriend/husband/friend were SO NICE

i just woke up its 5:27 am where i am from and let me tell you you made my day your video is awsome it made me feel so good only if the whole world could cosplay it would be a better world
My boyfriend made the frame work. He used pvc pipe (you can bend it with a hairdryer) and metal pulleys and bolts. The harness he made was basically a wooden block with the pvc bolted to it (it also has a pvc spine), then nylon cording used as straps to keep it on. We fully layered the part touching me in foam so it didn't hurt.
That Dark Brotherhood costume was AMAZING.

How come you choose to keep the same continuous shoot and angle for like 10 seconds straight? It gets awkward because even though it's mostly slo-mo'd the cosplayer runs out of poses and its just like staring continuously with no cuts or different angles.
Everything was filmed handheld! It was really crowded hehe :)

Just hold the camera steady with your elbows tucked in :) The 60 fps slowed down smooths out most of the kinks too

Disney Princess can-can, now that was original and the Aqua-Man outfit is amazing. That Witchblade girl is both mega hot and very brave! LOL Scoobys vs Darth Vader and the CATS girls are adorable!

Yeah, that Jessica Nigri(lollipop chainsaw) incident baffled me. I always new that we in North America are prudes, but if the content calls for it, then there should be no problem recreating it through cosplay

Thank you! :D I actually made the feathers. I took strips of faux fur (you'll find the best on fabric.com), each about 1/2 inch by 7 inches long. Parted them down the middle, put a strip of hot glue down the middle (to mimic the quills), then spray painted each one the color I needed. The glue is clear, so unfortunately, you need to do this step. Though, you could find a different option for the quills. Bear in mind this is a very labor intensive method, though way cheaper and way more durable.

Actually in the Disney moulin rouge group Blikku is black (she is in red and absolutely beautiful) and while not black I'm Puerto Rican and very brown although I was airbrushed to be light purple in my Ursula cosplay. So there was some PoC representation in this video :)

You have to understand that The creators of Heroes of Cosplay Edit the crap out of the show. It took my Cosplay family to help me understand that. I have never met them so I don't know how they are in real life but you cant just make assumptions. Unless you have met them then go ahead and say your opinion. I just think that if you haven't met some one face to face and talked to them than you shouldn't judge them.

Part of me morbidly expected/hoped for the Cinderella to get shot by Laura Croft's arrow from offscreen.
Originally, DragonCon was not a child friendly convention. It was primarily for teens and other nerdists who wanted to indulge in a variety of ways. When I first started going, it was common to see girl's with electric tape crosses just covering their nipples. Only in recent years as the parade and cosplay quality improved and the topics expanded were parents with children interested. Now they will ask for polite language for DAY panels, but it is still bring children at your own risk.
All professionals, paid by the event organisers. Not a single fan there, that I could see.
