You are so likable. One barrier I finally conquered is my tone to the camera. Most of us can struggle with either being boring, too one-up in our tone, or not having enough energy because going 120% in person makes us seem "normal" on camera, like the camera takes a lot of energy out of us for some reason. One thing in this video really gives me a huge idea for where I'm headed with either a second channel, or possibly keeping with my channel (that has about 550 or so subs...not this handle, a different one.) So THANK YOU!
You are very sweet. Yes! The energy it takes to fire up the camera and lights and look presentable, etc, while forming your ideas into words without wiping out or stumbling 😂😂can feel crippling at times! I agree. What honestly got me over that was completely committing myself to only turn on the camera when I really felt like I had something to say- and sometimes my energy level was higher and sometimes it was a little lower, but in any event, I kept telling myself that that’s what I needed to convey that day, and there was going to be someone somewhere that was going to resonate, right? I’m glad I have for you ❤😮
It's interesting, because your videos and your look would indicate to me that you should have more than 344 subs. I think I know why, after 18 years of studying and creating on this platform myself. If you were to improve your titles and thumbnails, you'd see that number go up pretty darn quick. I'll explain a bit, and I hope you find it helpful. Try to do more with minimalism. A shorter title, less words in the thumbnail, and a close up facial expression that evokes a question in the users mind. It's all psychological, as to why someone stops scrolling and choses a video. There is an art to both creating a question in the users mind, and the need to have it answered by you. For instance, lets say you were to retitle this video "Qutting CZcams", and just include thumbnail of you looking exhausted. The lack of information causes the user to start asking questions. "Is this a video about other people quitting? Is She quitting? Oh my gosh, I have to watch this". Also, the less words in the thumbnail, the better. Instead of using the title and thumbnail as a means to deliver the message, use it as a way to set the scene. Don't give the pay off away before they click through. Changing your channel name and thumbnail would help. A real close up of your face for the channels thumbnail, and the channel name should hint at what your videos are about. "Zen with Jen" comes to mind, as you cover a lot of niches on your channel. I know this is totally unsolicited advice, but I see you putting the effort in. It's about knowing where to direct that effort, and how. If you want to have further discussion about it, I am open to private discussion. After being on CZcams for 18 years, I like to empower people with the things I've learned when given the chance.

I would really like to put myself out there, having a YT channel and all where I am making videos, but as an active animal activist, I have to be careful. I had received death threats in the past when I lived in Germany over activism, now I am in US, I feel it would probably be even worse because a lot more animals get abused here than in Germany. Not really understand why you only have 364 subbies (well you gained one). 😊

I agree you should have more followers but your life challenges were huge. ? Skin care make up for older women maybe film consults, just an idea.
