- How To Smoke A Brisket On A Traeger with Kosmos Q... Now when it comes to how to smoke a brisket on a pellet grill I know a thing or two about how to help you get this done and get it done right! If you're like me and you've got more than a few lazy bones in your body you're probably wondering how to smoke a brisket on a pellet grill...These little grills are stellar when it comes to tight timeframes and getting some sleep while still laying down the jiggly brisket come dinner time! I was lucky enough to have a gold grade wagyu brisket from Snake River Farms hanging out in the freezer so I threw the wood to it and I think you'll be pleased with the results! Take some notes and knock your next pellet grill brisket out of the park!

How can I order the orange hat in this video?
@@gueroloco510 , Sorry. I don't have that one. Check out the other ones we have at www.teamkosmo.com/
What can we do to destroy CZcams, let’s have more commercials! Before, during and after. 15, 30 seconds, they’ll never notice.
When you tasted the Brisket..... I thought you were going to do the Kent Rollins (Cowboy Cook) happy dance. Looks good!
My wife got me that smoker for Father’s Day. It’s so easy to use! Keeps heat nicely and doesn’t take any time to warm up. Plus being able to schedule your cook is AWESOME!
This is how i dream my backyard would be. Love this Kosmos and congratulations. I’ll keep grinding and one day soon, I’ll have my own place like this.
Amen
Well said man, like you said just gotta keep on grinding!
IKR it’s not fair 😂 snowflake ❄️ tears (Molly a snowflake in the brisket world because I’m not experience nor versed like this guy) 😂
All I'm going to say is if you want to take your brisket up a notch, whatever recipe you use, try placing a pork belly on the upper rack to let it baste the brisket. I knocked it out of the park today on the brisket and got great bacon in the process.
I just added this to my to-do/cook list! Mouthwatering!
definitely love my new Camp Chef! broke it in on a brisket this past weekend... it's the gift that keeps on giving! Cheers Koz!
After years of wanting a Traeger I finally but the bullet and bought one. I can’t wait to do brisket.
Now that's a damn good looking back yard, the best I've EVER seen.
Love the backyard set up. It is literally perfect
Saran wrap trick is the best bbq tip! Seen the video where he 1st introduced it, tried it, and now I ALWAYS saran wrap all my briskets during the rest! U the man!!!
Followed the directions minus the rub. I got the Traeger beef rub and it turned out completely amazing!!! My family was like WTH I didn’t know you could cook like this….
First off. We think you are awesome. I have been watching you videos for a couple of years. We have made multiple orders of your products. Today, we tried our first brisket on the smoker. It turned out perfect. We followed this video and it was amazing.
14:20 That's the kind of brisket I want in my Christmas stocking.
I'm a Texan who moved to Montana 20 yrs ago. I live in a condo where only electric smokers/grills are allowed, so I purchased a Traeger at Costco. To get that intense smoke I'm used to [while using a stick burner for 50+ years] I added a smoker tube in my Traeger. All my briskets have come out awesome, but I'm going to try the saran wrap idea the next time! Thanks. I also love your Cow Cover!
Hey, that's the exact question that I have. I have been using pellet grill for over a year now but still cant produce that smokey flavour that stick burner give. Any suggestion on that? I have used Smoking tube, but than again you are filling it up with pellets and the argument is that if pellets were capable to produce intense smoke flavour, they would have done in the normal cook as pellet grills produce tons of smoke but not the intensity.
Thank you for an amazing video!! You explain very well I have one to do tomorrow!! And gonna do exactly what you did thank you again !!!
Oh man, my mouth was watering Kos. Great video, that is going in my archives for sure. Thank you very much Sir.
Thank you Dave Rothchild.
One prior failed brisket on my Traeger pro 575, on the second attempt I followed Kosmos simple method and it worked beautifully. Thank you Kosmos!
I just got a pro 575 to find out it didn’t come with super smoke
Love your channel Bro. I have been watching for a couple months now. Since then I've bought me a Masterbuilt 1050. On it I have cooked about 10 of your meat loafs, the whiskey marinade steak ALOT, and now getting ready to do my first brisket this weekend. Thanks for all the bad ass content!
Thank you Savas Family Clan.
Visiting the Kosmo’s store in OKC on Oct 2nd for the first time. See it’s worth the trip from Memphis.
This was great! Thanks for this video, I enjoyed it! I have a Traeger Timberline 1300 so it was nice to see another way to cook a brisket on there. Your outdoor kitchen is amazing and I'll be taking some ideas down for sure. Any good home design now days needs a good outdoor area. Thanks again!
Thank you Allen Weed.
Thanks for the saran wrap trick. will definitely implement on my next brisket this weekend.
Thanks for the content brother.... I've been working on my craft and watching your videos has helped me tons. I dont have a stick burner or a drum. I live in an apartment and have been limited to a pellet grill but the results after watching a few of your videos for some guidance were very helpful. Thanks for the content and keep it coming.
Thank you Jacob Paiz

Just tried the plastic wrap trick for the first time this weekend, game changer. Never gonna do a brisket without this step again!!!
How long did you wait to wrap it in saran wrap once it came off
@@BAttitude7689 I’ve done it a few times now, shortest was about an hour longest was 3.5hrs and it was still nice and hot then
Awesome back yard man. Also excellent idea on placing the aluminum pan below what you are cooking, I am going to do that every time I smoke anything as mine is a vertical setup. This will make clean up so much easier.
So much easier!
Absolutely believe in recording our journeys on Razozrs drinking beers 🍻. Your foundational list is spot in, all glory to God
Beautiful thick granite counters. Love the colors.
You make it look easy and delicious I’ve got an old old Traeger going to have to give it a try
We test our alarms at 11 am every Saturday in central Texas. I'm cooking brisket next weekend and will use some of your ideas.
Going to use this method this weekend. Thank you
Kosmo's you do one hell of a job! love the content and your seasonings!!!!!! What about the old school poor folk with the electric smokers lol... Would love to see a video creation of your work with an electric smoker!

The saran wrap makes a huge difference. Tried it the other week. Game changer with SPG, Cow Cover Hot and Texas Beef!
I've got a 16 pounder in the Traeger, then found your vid. I've got the butcher paper, but never wrapped in plastic wrap! Great tip I will be doing tomorrow. Subbed.

All I want in life is that outdoor kitchen! Damn
Awesome cook, Kosmo! Thank you! Will give this a try. What wood pellet did you use? Mesquite or hickory?
Hell yeah RZR ... Let's see it bub .. I love BBQ AND RZRS !! 🤘
Looks like the Traeger Timberline 1300. For a $2,000 double wall smoker, that Brisket better be good, lol!
Very helpful (and enteraining)! Keep up the great work!
That last tip on wrapping in Saran Wrap is a genius. Made my last 2 briskets easy to cut on the edges.
💯 brother just a secret that will improve anyone’s BBQ game!!!!
Do I Saran Wrap once I turn off the kreager?
@@LitOBOo no. You Saran Wrap it after you remove it from the grill and let it rest a bit. Then wrap it over the butcher paper and let it rest for at least an hour.
@@G_Weezy Thank you for the quick responses

Thanks for this I'm about to do my first ever brisket next week
Just take your time and make sure you hit that final temp
Love the saran wrap tip for when resting! Did a 13lb Brisket last weekend and melted like butter 👍🏻
Can you please give tips on your time frame ! I’m doing a low and slow 13 LB at 225. Any tips would be greatly appreciated
@@Whitepablosandoval thanks for your question! In short I plan an hour and 15 minutes to an hour and a half per pound at 275* give or take because each brisket will cook a little different. At 225* you are looking at a very long smoke & I would recommend increasing cooking temp to 250*-275*. I usually smoke my briskets at 275* and on a 13lb brisket I would anticipate a 12-15 hour cook bringing the internal temp to 205* & until probe tender. Not to take away from viewing Kosmos Q’s channel (I love some Kosmos Q) but I have a few videos I’ve made on my channel that may also be helpful. Hopefully my feedback helps…Happy Smoking Brother👍🏻😊
@@BakersBBQ so awesome. Thank you so much for the reply ! I really appreciate it !
@@Whitepablosandoval anytime my friend 👍🏻👊🏻!
I wish Komso had a bbq restaurant I’d go in a heartbeat
I've got a pork shoulder smoking today. I'm going to have to try that wrap trick to soften the bark on it before I pull it. Hopefully it'll help take my pulled to the next level.
