Iv'e not seen a foggy Blackpool before, when it's foggy somewhere you always find that sound seems to travel a long way.

Harts Amusements has been bought by the owners of Bispham and Cleveleys Kitchens.They are keeping the arcade but on a smaller scale but adding some more food elements plus some alterations to the outside and round the corner onto Red Bank Road.
Might have known Steve Hoddy would buy it.

We sometimes get sea mist like that here on the east coast. It’s amazing those tram tracks almost like train tracks to a mainline standard no wonder trams fly along there. Illuminations finally all down.
When my mate drove the old trams decades ago he got pulled for speeding along there by a traffic cop lol
The only part of the illuminations worth looking at these days
I used to go to the Cabin when there was a boating lake at the bottom.
Came to the illuminations 2023 absolutely loved it xx

Was lovely this afternoon had a nice 2 hour stroll, got quite warm nice and fresh air was a bonus,from all the damp we've had lately. Not got Mia tomorrow so a lie in for us. Tesco at ten,then hopefully another walk,slowly taking our invites round to friends for our golden anniversary celebration in May. It's my 70th in 2 weeks going out for a family meal, so will be nice to celebrate that too.

What I love about these lights is that before you know it. They are putting them back up.
Always something going off on the promenard
I love my town, but I love it most in the winter when its quiet. Since the council kept the season going till January 1st for the last two years the visitor numbers have not really reduced. I think that we are approaching a "365 days a year" season for the town, with no rest for winter.
Keeps the NHS taxi service going 365 too.

Hi Stephen it is misty there l see illuminations are coming down but they will have new ones later in the year.
It was like that here yesterday I had to go for an appointment in a town 20 mins drive away & you couldn't see too far ahead 😮 it was drizzly & miserable 😢 it ended up lifting when I got home ( typical ) 😂

They will be going back up soon.
I know. It seems sad in some ways to see them go. But it means better weather and light nights are on the way. It feels like it does when you have to take the Christmas tree and decorations down. The fun is over, the nice lights that brighten our lives are gone for another year and its back to the day to day drudgery of life. Then again when they put them up in the Autumn its the reverse, excitement to see them again, lights to brighten up the dark night and are they doing anything new and different this year? Or just putting up the same ones yet again with a few tweaks....YEP...here we go again. But at least Christmas is coming soon to cheer us all up, and something to look forward to in the endless dark of winter....

Good Evening Steve. Like a scene out of the Horror Movie, The Fog if you remember seeing it at all. A very Strange and Mysterious Atmosphere. How it came across on your Incredible Camera. There is always something different Steve with your movies. Very sad to see the Beautiful illuminations taken down. Blackpool really does put on a Great Illuminations Show every year. Very, very fond happy memories of the Doric 😢 grabbing a tram & getting off at uncle toms cabin ( is it still there ? )
But very happy days indeed , especially the Pembroke, beautiful hotel.
Visited in 2018 when i was in uk briefly, & was absolutely horrified 😮
And The begging! mostly eastern migrants 😕 and the genral decay upset me a great, great deal.
My fault, i should have stayed up the north end ( twrds fleet ) where you are now, it's still quite nice up there by the old people's homes .

I remember that strange mist in Blackpool around 2018 it was weird how it moved in from the sea this in this video is certainly strange

They do change some of them. There was a new display up here last year to replace the Red Indians one.
I went to Blackpool illumination nothing was working 😢

Yes.
Council need to invest promenade wherehole in wall cafe railings etc need spruce up

I'm 52 now and haven't done the full length of the illuminations since I was a kid with my mum and dad, me and the Mrs promise to take our daughter to see them all this coming season,can't wait.
