Hold up, there's a competitive amiibo scene in Smash Ultimate and I haven't heard about it till now?
ITS EXISTED SINCE SMASH 4 AND I FEEL SLIGHTLY DISRESPECTED THAT YOU HAVENT HEARD OF IT LMAO
@@thegoldmario4879 tbf I didn’t know amiibos even existed until well after I played ult
Amiibos ironically learn past level 50. The level I believe only determines the small boost they receive to their stats (I think it's 1.25 for both attack and defense). This however means that their play style can still change and they can learn more if you keep on playing with them. In addition you can disable their 'learning' by going to the amiibo menu in the same area of the main menu where you can find training and classic mode. This will cause their play style to remain mostly stagnant but they can still learn stuff like how to win certain interactions and what moves it should prioritize. This means he can get even stronger.
Those are just a few tips. If you want any more information on stuff like amiibo counters, amiibo personality types (yes that's a thing), and more you can look at Exion Vault for example or the several amiibo discords scattered around the smash community. Hope this helps anyone willing to actually read this! ^_^

You should try the extra jump spirit on him instead of fire sword. Make it even harder to gimp
First Person Smasher i thought that too, or the floaty jump one. one of those and the increased ground speed spirit would be enough to make hotcat unstoppable
I have actually tried this on my incen amiibo but he still recovers and dies.
That requires two though so we need to get rid of the curry thing insteaf
The best spirit build for this monstrosity is Armor Knight and Trade off Ability and then spam side b and down smash.
He's a pretty hot cat, so I'll give him the hottest pokemon out there - Primal Groudon!

when I found out about that i was just confused. there were never any dark gyms before because gym leaders are usually the people young trainers look up to, and since most dark type moves are just dirty tricks, dark gyms were never a thing. Maybe Scotland's special in that way

My Incineroar Amiibo nicknamed Predator is an Aggressive type and has Giant and Move Speed skills. I trained it into using Revenge, Alolan Whip, and Back Throw a lot than the other moves.

An amiibo is like your child, it follows you in your footsteps, it spikes, it taunts, and it does amaIng combos that even cant do 50% of the time

Can confirm, I trained a Wario amiibo and he loved stealing my bike and running it off a cliff
The best moves for Incineroar are Side B since the AI always gets the perfect timing, Down Smash for its coverage, NAir while above opponents, Up Tilt for Anti-Air, and Down B for Revenge. F Smash, Up Smash, and Forward stilt are also good moves for the Incineroar amiibo. The metagame for amiibo is currently shifting to melee attacks. (Basically less projectiles with the exception of Mii Gunner) Taunting is actually very bad since it could cause the amiibo to freeze and do nothing. (I’ve had this happen to a Young Link)

Why does this incineroar amibo play the exact same way mine does? The only difference is that mine has special moves buffed, gets stronger for a bit after it is badly damaged, and finally, is buffed all around, but started with 30%. The amiibo is named incinelord, and destroyed my jigglypuff amiibo, named bubblegum.
