Bilbao Airport

Bilbao Airport, located in the Basque Country in northern Spain, serves Bilbao and the surrounding areas. The airport is the busiest in northern Spain with a throughput of over 6.3 million passengers in 2023 and ~137 daily (average) air transport movements. Around 25 airlines serve the airport providing direct air links largely to European destinations. The sleek passenger air terminal was commissioned in 2000.
The airport lies approx. 5 km (as the crow flies) from central Bilbao but by road the distance is greater due to the surrounding hilly topography.
