To anybody who hasn't seen them watch Country Family Reunion, and its many episodes, up until 2016, and sons and daughters, of old country music stars, hosted by Bill Anderson. Real country music, bluegrass, and kinfolk. whole series, many episodes, usually about 1 hr long or more. No matter what they say about Beyonce and black music and banjos. Real country music to me, came from English, Scots, and Irish, from Appalahian Mountains.
So Jelly Roll was hip hop but switched, wonder what the difference it smh some of you are so ignorant about the history and origins of country music and its sad

I won't watch the CMT's anymore I didn't last year because country isn't POP it's country. Miley and Beyonce have no place there. What happened to all the real country boys and girls like Toby, Merle, Martina, Dolly. It just isn't country anymore and I have loved country music my whole life. I won't watch it again it's so disappointing.

I honestly am a huge Beyonce fan but when i heard she was dropping not just a country song but an album I was like WTF 🤦♀️. But I am all of a sudden learning how beautiful country music is exploring artists that i have always heard of but nvr listened to. So I know it’s not what everyone expected but something beautiful is coming from it.
People talking about "Real" Country lmao.. Country music has ALWAYS evolved. Just have a listen to a song from each decade & they are all completely different.

Should've just called it The Jelly Roll Show. Who, in my opinion, can't sing. The majority of performances were terrible. I think the only ones that sounded good were LBT with Jennifer Nettles, Trisha, Lainey, Ballerini, Aldean and Keith Urban. Sam Hunt absolutely made my ears bleed.
Beyonce needs to stay out of country music her songs suck. If cmt has her im no longer giving them ratings.
